They also have another good coffee restaurant close to the Sun bowl which is on N Mesa and that location has live mariachis every Friday night from 8 to 10 pm. Had Llevos Rancheros and they were awful. The sauce had no taste and too milky. The has browns were cold and hard. Tasted like they were two days old. I asked for a corn tortilla and was brought flour. The only good thing about my plate were the beans. read more

I love this location due to how clean everything is, the atmosphere, and the friendliness of the staff. Their portions are incredibly generous and the prices are very cheap. I always order the Huevos Rancheros and recommend if you want a nice fulfilling Mexican breakfast. The wait time for food is also minimal so if you're hungry, no need to worry. If by chance it takes longer, they give free chips and salsa to hold you off. Good Coffee is definitely an El Paso staple for most people who grew up in the downtown/central areas and I love that they have many locations around town. Our bill is usually around $20 so it doesn't hurt the wallet. I also recommend trying their tres leches cake! read more

Not the prettiest crayon in the box, but the food was good. I ordered red enchiladas with chicken. For $10.00 a 12X12 inch plate came filled with Mexican goodness, not too spicy. Chips and salsa (very spicy) were served while we waited for our food. Our ice teas came in a tall glass along with a carafe filled with extra tea. The service was good and we glad for the food, since we ditched the restaurant across the street because of their poor service. They had a buffet near the front door with assorted Mexican foods. Hash browns were soggy and asked for them crispy but apparently that means soaked in grease. This place is honestly all just it's name, good coffee. The service was ridiculously slow and it wasn't that bad. I ordered the Machaca Plate and my husband had the Enchiladas Montana's. The food was SO BLAND. We found ourselves dumping salt onto everything besides the beans and our waiter literally never came back to us besides to bring us out food. We waited for coffee that never came by. I ate the food because we were tired of waiting and starving. Extremely overpriced for the flavorless grease. The hashbrowns literally tasted like oil. We stopped at this Good Coffee for breakfast, the place looks nice and we had anticipated a pleasant visit. We thought the food was fine but the server, Daisy, started a conversation with a couple at another table in a most loud, annoying and raucous voice. We could not have a conversation, let alone think. This server was too busy talking to bring us our full meal (which we were charged for) to get her attention. There were other people waiting to be seated including an elderly man in a wheelchair who she ignored. When we mentioned our discomfort to the snotty cashier she told us IF WE DO NOT LIKE IT TO GO SOMEWHERE ELSE. This would have been a chance for them to improve their service. I am an activist who has helped people in central El Paso and had contacted the mayor's office to help improve working conditions for restaurant servers. They cannot afford to lose any more business and good will from customers at this restaurant. read more

So, I have visited this location before and have always had great service and the food was also excellent. Today however was a different story. I was craving a Mexican breakfast and so I stopped here. They only had two tables so service was pretty fast. After waiting 15 minutes for our order I took my first bite. If I thought it was frosty outside it did not compare to how cold my food was. I don't mean just one thing. The beans, the chilaquiles, the eggs. My fiancé food was also cold. What the holy heck. This has been the best Mexican food I've had in all of Texas. The prices we amazing too boot and the service was just above and beyond. Every plate we ordered was nothing less then wonderful. If you were not raised on Mexican food, you might find the food good. Waitress/cashier was very rude. Mediocre Coffee, Expensive Food, Loud and Annoying Music This review is for the location at the Quality Inn on Montana across from Bassett Center. My husband and I went for breakfast on 05/29/2017, Memorial Day. He wanted to try it. It was pretty empty for being breakfast on a holiday, should have been a clue. As a side note, the music was rather loud and annoying as you walked in and in the dining area close to the hotel pool where they sat us. Unfortunately, we made the mistake of ordering coffee before we actually sat down to review the menu. For a restaurant called Good Coffee, I would expect, pretty good, if not excellent coffee. This wasn't the case, it was rather mediocre, not worth the $2.50 a cup. We went ahead and checked the menu. Now, most Mexican restaurants in El Paso offer Mexican food at pretty decent prices. However, not here. Please keep in mind that this restaurant is definitely not in the fancy restaurant category. The huevos rancheros, enchiladas, tacos, mole, etc. will set you back on average around $12. Plain pancakes without any bacon, about $6.00. Sides averaged about $4-$5 each. We think because they are at the Quality Inn, they can charge these prices to a captive audience. Anyhow, my husband was craving menudo. The waitress said that they didn't have any even though it was a holiday. She added that during that morning about 4 other parties had asked for menudo and left since there was non to be had, interesting. At this point we decided to do as they did and just pay for the coffee. Once we told her that, she dropped of the ticket and could not be found for any more refills. I hunted her down and at least got a second cup of coffee. As far as Good Coffee, we will not ever come back. I ordered from uber eats 4 times now. First 2 great. 3rd time no salsa. I just figured was a mistake. Today ordered and no salsa and missing a burrito. Call restaurant up asked about salsa and was told they are out of containers for salsa. Crazy lame excuss. Its a mexican restaurant! Was confused because my side of beans came in a container. Was also not sure then why they would proced to sell me tacos and burritos from a Mexican restaurant with no salsa if they had no way to give me salsa?They really should have not let me place order. Oh and the kicker is I only got one of my picadillo burritos. Guess they must have been out of picadillo so charged me anyway. Thing is when I called they did not seem to care. This is really what makes me sad. This restaurant has been around a long time and has great food. So why not take care of your customers. Absolutely love Good Coffee!!! The food is great, the portions are huge, the service is awesome, and the prices are reasonable! A great Mexican experience from morning to night. I would highly recommend this place for anyone wanting and authentic experience in a laid back relaxed atmosphere. The only down side to this little place are the bathrooms. Since there is oddly, still, no page for the N. Mesa Good Coffee, I'm posting my review for that establishment here (Yelp gave me this link). (My old review was posted to the address of that good coffee, but apparently got tagged to a different establishment. This review is a reposting of that review which was taken down for obvious reasons). I had heard good things about their bfast burritos so I finally went in. Ordered a dozen different burritos for the office. I personally tried the machaca burrito and chorizo and egg. Machaca was amazing! Great value for three bucks! The manager took my order and was very friendly and helpful with order. Gave extra container of chili con queso at no cost. My friends all loved their burritos (I mean obviously. It was free). Seriously tho the burritos are pretty big for only three bucks. They are very generous with amount of eggs. I will say the chorizo to egg ratio was a little light on chorizo in my burrito. However I love that the burritos were cooked to order. I've heard the rest of their menu is solid so I will definitely be back. Ironically for a place called good coffee I thought their coffee was decidedly mediocre. Whatevs tho. I'm just happy I have awesome bfast burrito place close to home now. read more

No surprise. This place blows the sox off of all the other Good Coffee locations. Enchiladas Montados were delicious. Service was wonderful-attentive, quick and cheery. The hostess is a real cutie. I have one itty bitty tiny gripe, not enough to affect the rating. Chips and salsa were served with our meal. These should have been brought out as soon as we were seated. The salsa was fresh from the fridge and should have been room temperature. It was OK but not very flavorful and no spicy heat at all. All the Good Coffee locations should be doing the things this one does right. It's a shame they don't. And yes, they really do have good coffee. read more

Found a short blonde hair in my hash browns. Manager didn't want to comp the meal. They started giving us $1.00 off of bill, then ended up discounting meal $3.00. We were seated quickly and given our menus and drinks equally as fast. The Jamaica I ordered was refreshing. The order was taken with a smile. Food came in good order.. I ordered the Mexican Omelette which was nicely cooked, not ruby, filled well with peppers, tomatoes, onions, and ham was very good! Additionally, we had a chile and cheese soup which was "to die for". The American-style breakfast was the only slight disappointment as the sausage was overdone. We always enjoyed coming here back when ms "kika" used to visit with you at the table, food was always fresh and delicious but that was some time ago. Things have changed. Service is mediocre food is cold and the taste is questionable. I ordered a simple dish chicken flautas, rice was cold I couldn't find the chicken in the flautas and the rest is history. The only good thing was the salsa but if you cant make salsa why stay in business right? Anyway, place has taken a nose dive and it's quite sad! Another thing that really concerns me is the lack of wheelchair access to the restroom. My mom is disabled and it was a nightmare to see the restroom was not available to her due no access! Wonder if that is up to city code? Hmm check out the photos and see for yourself.
