We live in Las Cruces. NM and often when we go to El Paso, I look up on line for eateries with vegan or vegetarian options. On August 13, my wife and I visited this place for an early lunch. You order at the counter and your order is delivered to your table. My wife ordered the Grilled Chicken Sandwich. I order the Border Burger: Vegan patty with vegan chorizo, vegan cheese avocado and mixed veggies with a side of fries. My wife liked that it was a piece of chicken and not the processed cubbed meat and overcooked. However, she said that it lacked of seasoning. My vegan burger was from Impossible Burgers. It was disappointing. I had expected a home made patty. The fries were a mixed of cold and hot potatoes. I was too hungry to get up to complain at the counter that was busy. I noticed that they serve Picacho Roasters coffee from Las Cruces that I love. We had already have had coffee at home so we settled for plain water. On the side of the counter they have a water dispenser for you to take. The water in the container wasn't cold so I asked for a cup with ice. I read about the delicious donuts so I had one, it was amazing. It is lovely hip place north of downtown with street parking available. read more

A group of 5 of us went here for brunch on a Saturday. It was fairly crowded but we were able to order within 10 minutes and grab a table outside. We got our food about 10-15 minutes later. Everything was really yummy and very reasonable priced. I got the burrito and it was massive. I was stuffed after and could have made two meals out of it. They have milk alternatives which everyone appreciated for the coffee drinks. They also have mimosas. We found out after that they charge $2 extra for the orange juice and they give a lot. So I'd recommend buying one with the orange juice and then buying champagne only for the others. read more

the food here is delicious. It is going to be one of my favorite spots in el Paso! thanks for supporting the vegans!

The bacon, egg, and cheese burrito is SOO good. By itself, solid. But with the salsa? 10/10. One my favorite breakfast burritos! I also got a small vanilla latte which was delicious as well. It was my preferred sweetness and the coffee flavor shined through. Service was quick and friendly, will definitely be back whenever I'm in El Paso. read more

Quick service breakfast with plenty of space to sit. They also have outdoor patio that is amazing on a great weather day. We tried their coffee + breakfast food, delicious. They also have donuts that looked amazing, but we opted for eggs. The eggs tasted fresh and fluffy. I chose fruits instead of bacon, the bacon in sandwich was great! The tomatoes were fantastic. Overall, we enjoyed this place and had great selection. read more

What a fantastic find! This place is a cool, hip spot for breakfast. I loved the trendy lavender latte and the avocado toast was spot on. It has the charm of a neighborhood local spot, made even better by the incredibly friendly staff. read more

Despite being slammed on a Sunday morning, every employee at Savage Goods seemed genuinely welcoming and happy to have customers coming in - really changed what could have been a grim experience in a crowded (but impeccably clean (even the restrooms) - and KEPT clean by hustling staffers) small room and made this a very pleasant morning. Even with the (understandable but also clearly warned about on ordering) 25-minute wait for the food (how could the small kitchen staff not get a little behind with the crowds streaming in?). And the food was - every bit of it - delicious (and reasonably priced). And the espresso was good (not always something I can rely upon these days), as was the mimosa (you add your own OJ, so you tailor it to your own taste). The coffee cake was (I declared) Nana-quality (may she rest in peace, that Bavarian lady could BAKE) and the breakfast tacos were well engineered, larger than expected and a whole lot more tasty than anticipated (again, you sort of build-your-own experience with these: mine were egg/bacon/double green chile - good flavor in the green) - oh, and good, onion-y salsa on them. The waffle had changed from the apple compote on the menu to a blueberries-on-top one, but it was also very good - and not the usual bland waffle you find; there is some grainy/yeasty goodness here. A lot of times I find creative, high quality food of this sort to be accompanied by both high prices and an unwarranted "You should be grateful I'm deigning to assist you" attitude by staff: NOT (in our experience today) at Savage Goods. Everything seemed reasonably priced and every staffer I encountered made me feel welcomed and cared about. Downsides? Minimal, really, when compared to the notable good things. Small parking area with patrons making things worse by inventing spaces where they shouldn't have been. Hard to find seating (that's what we get for coming during a Sunday brunch rush) in the small room or on the small patio. You wait in line to order and they bring you your food and bevs - but not your water . . . you go get that on your own, along with napkins (and hot sauce if you need that). The staffers at Savage Goods were so great that we were happy to leave a relatively heavy tip for the bring-it-to-you service, but I have friends who'd be irritated by the whole set-up, so I mention it. But we were not! Our first impression on pulling up (and seeing small, crowded, line-up-to-order and look-at-our-showcased-food) was, "Yikes: this could be a nightmare." But our brunch today Savage Goods was the opposite of a nightmare: it was like a lovely dream. Looking forward to returning soon - thanks so much! read more

Kinda ok. Burrito bowl a bit too salty. The breakfast burritos was a bit too dry, even with the added salsa. The banana bread was too cinnamon added. Waffles were terrible. Like a bread like? Ego from grocery store has better waffles. Just my 0.02. The donuts were good though. read more

The breakfast is so good, their gluten free options are awesome. The staff is extremely nice as well!!

My partner and I were passing through El Paso at lunch time and looked for a place offering vegetarian food - Savage Goods popped up. It was busy when we arrived, but we found a parking spot in the lot and didn't have to wait long to place our order. We found a seat on their nice patio and enjoyed the mid-day breeze. After about 10 minutes, our order arrived. My partner's green chile burrito came on a medium-sized pizza pan. It was packed with eggs, chile, cheddar, and potatoes - very flavorful. I ordered the sweets and beets, which is roasted beets and sweet potatoes on arugula topped with 2 eggs. It was delicious! We shared the salted chocolate chip cookie, which had a crisp outside and soft inside. Quite good. If I lived in El Paso, I would be a regular. read more

I was planning on checking out Crave Kitchen for breakfast while in town last month, but I arrived and there was a sign on the door saying they were closed for renovations. Luckily I was able to hop on Yelp and found Savage Goods in my El Paso collection and headed that way. I walked there - it was only about a mile and mostly downhill, so it wasn't too bad. Savage Goods is a super cute cafe with a great patio. You order at the counter and they'll bring your food to you. They have a lot of plant-based items, but I went with the Cooks' break plate for breakfast, which comes with two over easy eggs, potatoes, green chile, poblano ailoi, bacon, arugula, and tomato with a side of toast. There's self-serve water and some cute merchandise for sale like apparel and metal straws. My food came out quickly and it looked incredible! The portion was great for just $12. It was plenty of food and I really loved this dish. The eggs came with a lot of great melty cheddar on them. The poblano aioli was delicious and the green chiles had a bit of a kick. There was a generous amount of bacon, which I definitely appreciated. Really the only part of the meal that wasn't 5 stars for me was the toast. It tasted a little old somehow and wasn't my favorite, but everything else was so good. The breakfast burritos were only about $6 and they looked huge! If I lived in the area, this would be my go-to breakfast spot. They also serve lunch, coffee, and beer and wine! read more

I wish I could give this place a 3.5. The food isn't bad just underwhelming. The bread on the breakfast sandwich is too thick and crunchy to be enjoyed without tearing up your mouth in the process. Not to mention it was cold and felt stale by the time it made it to my table. Drip coffee was average, I do wish they had more sweetener and dairy free options for it. It's a great spot for families and those wanting to eat a meal alone, not a great spot if you want to have a conversation (it's a tad too loud for that). Overall just a very meh experience. read more

We usually love Savage, regular attendees. But recently, our experience has not been as great. The main issue being so much grease just sitting on the plate. For just simple eggs and toast, the plate is covered in grease. I can't get a burger or sandwich here because the bread is completely soaked through with grease. The other important issue is neither bathroom has soap...? I know these are employee restrooms too. Only writing this in hopes things get back to normal. We will be taking a break for a while. read more

After a long flight from California, my sisters and I were hungry and tired. We wanted something close by and will fill us up. Savage Goods seemed like the perfect hole-in-the-wall, cute and quaint cafe to kickstart our vacation. The ambience upon walking in was definitely all we expected. It was really cute and clean and not too overpacked. They grabbed a table and I went in line to order. We ordered the breakfast sandwich (came with chips), the breakfast burger (came with fries), and the build your own burrito bowl (with vegan cheese, grilled onions, and potatoes) -- all of which were at amazing prices. Overall, the food was good but nothing spectacular. I particularly enjoyed my burrito bowl because it was the perfect amount of food for around $6. The fries were a little on the salty side but the sandwich and burger were good. I would have given this place a 3.5 but docked 0.5 star for the wait... we waited over 30 minutes for 3 dishes. We came in around 1:00 PM on Sunday which probably explains the wait but a nice heads up would have been great, especially given that the restaurant wasn't too packed. Highly redeeming point was the salsa.... it was so yummy we were dipping everything in that. read more

Savage goods is a fun, nicely paced café with decent drinks and good treats. My girlfriend brought me here to try it out and I was surprised at the amount of space it had inside with what seemed like a really chill atmosphere. Drinks/Food: We ordered the cold brew (mine black and hers with cream and sugar) and they were decent overall. They both seemed kind of watered down and lack much flavor in terms of boldness or smoothness. On top of that, we ordered the churro donut as well as the pumpkin pie donut. Both of these were good but nothing to write home about. The churro donut was your basic sugar surfaced donut with a cakey texture that reminded me Somehwat of Dunkin's donuts. The pumpkin pie had a good tasting frosting but overall lacked depth of flavor and richness that I was expecting. Maybe they might have been better if they were warmed. Overall: I will definitely be back to try some of their food items and try some other drinks as it seems like an awesome place for a get to know you type date that is small enough to be intimate but bustling enough to be fun. read more

Tried their Breakfast Sandwich, Cooks Break plate, Yogurt Parfait and Capuccino. - The Cooks Break plate had 2 over easy eggs which were spot on; the potatoes with the salsa provide a nice contrast and it also includes a bread toast. The bread is very chewy; however, it is very filling. Overall, would recommend to try it. - The yogurt parfait is probably the best one I've have tried and it gives a nice contrast with the savory dishes. - The cappuccino is made from very good coffee beans and would recommend it as well. - The breakfast sandwich is basically the same as the cooks break plate without the potatoes, instead they replace them with homemade potatoes chips. Overall nice ambience and good service. read more

Came to visit El Paso and our friend brought us here. It didn't disappoint! Plenty of seating in the inside but parking is a little scarce. If you are lucky you might get a parking spot designated for them, but if not then you'll have to try your luck at street parking. You'll order at the counter then take a number with you that you place on your table. When the food is ready they bring it to your table. Churro donuts was delicious!! Hubby, baby, and I loved it. Baby didn't get the sugar coating but she definitely loved the fluffy dough on the inside! They also were kind enough to not put the sugar coating on the french toast and everything on the side so that baby could eat. Baby loved it! I wasn't a totally fan but it wasn't bad. I had it modified for baby so can't really give it the review it deserves but baby loved it, so that's all that matters. They didn't have the banana bread at this time since spooky szn has arrived it has been temporarily replaced with pumpkin bread. Can't deny that I was sad because I love me some banana bread, but it was only temporary sadness because the pumpkin bread was amazing. Since it's seasonal, I say don't pass it up. It was so moist and soft in the inside. Not all pumpkin flavored items are delicious, I will admit, but this had a good pumpkin flavor that wasn't overbearing. Just be basic, just this once! Hahaha I will say their London fog tea tasted just like the one from Starbucks! The res of everyone had their house coffee. They have a cart off to the side of the order counter so you can add cream and sugar to your desire. The menu had so many delicious sounding breakfast items that I wish we could have eaten but I don't like food going to waste, and had to make room to eat what baby didn't eat. read more

3.5. What a neat place in a neat little neighborhood (Sunset Heights). Come early to avoid Sunday crowds. Staff is more or less pleasant and helpful. Crowd is students and young families with children. An adventure in culinary adequacy. Kitchen's output is good not great, however, with the details of the ingredients in the make your own omelette bowl thingy lacking in several respects (could you not cook the bacon until crispy before mixing it in there? Is that avocado really unblemished enough to be served to customers? that cheese was purchased pre-shredded, wasn't it?) and suggesting that the cooks are not sufficiently committed to culinary excellence and are willing to settle for culinary adequacy. Cafe latte was nicely prepared but a bit weak and lacking in personality. Perhaps the baked goods are the strong point; your correspondent did not sample them. Would return in nice weather to enjoy the patio. read more

We absolutely love and adore savage goods! The decor and overall ambiance they created is warm and inviting. It's very open with wonderful seating and beautiful artwork from local artists. They have a custom built shelf filled with goodies that make wonderful gifts for loved ones and many items that support other local businesses as well. They have a pastry display that gets me every time, advertising what they have. ( all pastries are vegan friendly) a huge hit for our family and friends. Our family is mixed with vegans, vegetarians, meat eaters and we all can enjoy eating here. The pricing is good they went up since we started going but that's normal due to the economy. Still priced reasonable, the food is always fresh and made to order. The staff is very attentive and warms my heart when they remember us. Overall a great establishment with great Quality food and service! You won't be disappointed. Our favorites are their oatmeal chocolate pecan cookies and savage scramble burritos with their fluffy chocolate donut. They use to have this savory danish that I hope they bring back but was absolutely delicious! They also have the best double chocolate brownies as well. During the holidays they make the best pies! I love this local spot. Today was a snow day and their green chile posole hit like no other. Full of great flavor with the mushroom, posole, cilantro, radish, and a squeeze of lime. So, it's OK, but not great. Came into town for work & needed to grab something to eat. The bread is so hard around the edges that it's not edible. They don't have mayo & and the garlic ailnoi just isn't for me. I asked for an ice water since their drink selections are slim. They directed me to grab a cup out of a cooler in which the water is luke warm. No ice apparently. For $14 for a sandwich I have to tear the center out to eat and so-so house chips with no flavor..
