My husband and I are from Seattle so it's a given that we love coffee! Every time we travel to a new state/city, we like discovering new and cool coffee shops, especially those that make their own syrups. This place makes all of their syrups except one. We had the Cafe de Olla, which is cinnamon-based, and the Honey and Lavender latte. My husband loved the H&L one, while I loved the Cafe de Olla one. The staff were also very chill and friendly. Their space is very cozy, so you can hang out there while listening to music. They have a selection of records that I'm assuming customers can peruse and request to listen to or even purchase. What an amazing gem! This was definitely the star of our morning in El Paso. The venue was full of delightful finds - old albums, photos, plants, trinkets. Just such a cool place. The baristas were super friendly and very engaging. The coffee was superb! The latte was hot, frothy, and delicious. I got a cafe de olla to go and it was just perfection. Nice place. Just wanted to leave a tip for the barista. You are using waaaay too much matcha powder to make the latte. You only need 0.5-1 teaspoon of powder for a 12oz drink. You're wasting money and making a terrible tasting drink. read more

Visiting family in El Paso, we saw this place in a search for coffee and had to try it out. Very cool little place with a peaceful atmosphere. Friendly and helpful service. We got two drinks: Iced Chuco Fog Latte: Rich and strong in flavor with a punch of honey that makes you want to drink more. Iced LA Jasmine Latte: Refreshing and bright. The tea is perfectly jasmine - not overly floral. I could drink two of these at a time. Definitely will be back next time we visit family! read more

Very cute coffee place - a bit difficult to find, it's behind a tattoo shop, and parking is weird (across the street); and you go in through fence to where a coffee truck and small stage. The first purchased coffee I can remember pouring down the drain. Read on! Fun outdoor patio that looks like hosts live music. Inside seemed to have locals hanging out - similar to a bar. The service is inattentive yet working hard - similar to what you'd expect at a hole in the wall biker bar. I got a cold brew (nitro cold brew was out) and my wife got a lavender latte. If the product was above average - the bad service would honestly be charming; however, it's just not good. My cold brew was sour and acidic - and the latte was overpoweringly sweet. They also only carry oat-milk. So when I asked for milk to balance the CB - I got oat-milk added without clarification. So - "wrong milk bad cold brew" in hand - I nicely left and threw it in the garbage at first opportunity. I am disappointed the execution made Cafe Con Leche's quirkiness annoying instead of interesting. read more

I FINALLY was able to stop at Cafe Con Leche after hearing all the wonderful things about this hidden gem! This little coffee shop was tucked away behind the corner of a record shop, but it was not hard to find. I absolutely love the dedication they put into each coffee they make. The barista informed us that all syrups and flavoring is made in house, and all lattes are made with Oat Milk. Their lattes are truly hand crafted! There is enough shade and plenty of room for customers to relax in the patio. The cool mist+iced latte definitely kept us cool in the 100+ degree weather!! My partner got the Cafe Olle and I grabbed the Vanilla and Rosemary. Subtle flavors without masking the taste of coffee. An amazing spot to chill with friends and grab coffee. For a specialty coffee shop, Café Con Leche spends incredible amount of effort on their flavored coffee items. Both the lavender honey and the love portion are outstanding! My only complain for this place is that there is only outdoor seatings, which get really hot in El Paso summer, and that they only do disposable paper cups. read more

I went to cafe con leche on a Saturday morning around 10:00am. It wasn't busy yet and it was easy to park. I ordered a white chocolate saffron latte, which is easily the most unique latte I've had. It's hard to describe the flavor, but it was excellent. It wasn't overpoweringly sweet, but had a slight honey taste. Their drinks are very reasonably priced, especially when compared to prices at national chains. The coffee shop itself appears to be a small building in a courtyard with plenty of outdoor seating, so keep the weather in mind when you plan your visit. There was art and games to play as well.
