The indoor temp was hot and stuffy, we sat outside and it was better. However, you have to wave the birds away and also clean the tables and chairs because they have bird poop all over them. The birds constantly come around because the dishes are left on tables. Bird poop falls often as birds are on roof of business. Aside from that, the food is great, the drinks were good. I visited Buen Dia on Saturday with my family for an afternoon lunch. I was really craving chilaquiles, which is what I ordered. The chilaquiles were delicious and definitely hit the spot. They weren't bland--in fact, they had a nice kick to them. The black beans were also great and complemented the chilaquiles well. My parents ordered the tacos and shared them, reporting no complaints. My daughter ordered the kids' quesadilla, which is always a safe choice. Overall, the food was fantastic, and I have no complaints. I did dock a star, however, because of the seating. Very slow, waited in line for about 30 minutes with only 3-4 parties in front of us. Once we got to the register we realized they were out of quite a few things. My wife ordered pancakes, and I ordered the suadero tacos. We sat down and watched everyone that was in line around us eat and leave with no update on our order. I went and asked and they just confirmed what we ordered and did not give an eta(I believe the order was never put it). Waited another 20 mins and a girl came out side to let us know they didn't have any more suadero and if I'd be okay with carne asade. Said it was fine and waited another 15 mins and she came out again and apologized for the delay and offered free water as compensation (we already had water on the table). Food finally came out and was actually not bad but the service just absolutely killed any chance of me ever returning. The place is nice and trendy. Don't come here when you are hangry Food is decent, definitely not worth the wait. The staff seems to be playing around, which can be a fun work environment but when you have a line out the door it's a bit irritating. You take about 35-45min to order, then another 45-55min to get your food. Seating is very limited (no their fault location is small) But the service is very slow. Beware, of this. The music is loud, im my experience when the music is loud people yell to get their conversation across overall increasing the noise level. (i get it the "mexican restaurant" vibe but come on. Not even the lady taking my order can hear me, leading to a delay in placing my order. Also might be a building maintenance issue but we were sweating in here... Found this little spot when my parents came to visit. We were greeted at the door with a warm greeting and explanation of the food. We ordered our meals and the food came out quick. Everything was AMAZING. The creamy verde chilaquiles with a fried egg was so delicious. I also tried their cold brew. It had so much flavor with the spices they add. It was excellent. I went here with my dad. He got the red chilaquiles and i got the green. They were amazing! My father even said that they were the best chilaquiles he's ever gotten from a restaurant!! I have to say I was pleasantly surprised by this place. Since it is in what I knew as Hillstone coffee, I was kinda sad this was here. But when I entered, there was a really nice gentleman who greeted me and explained what they were all about. They specialize in Chilaquiles of all kinds with different vegetable and protein choices. They have drinks of all kinds that were refreshing. The cucumber refresca was pretty amazing in the heat. They have indoor and outdoor seating available. The staff is very attentive and friendly. This place is a great breakfast/brunch spot! Very friendly staff and very short and straightforward menu. We ordered some yummy mimosas. First time trying Jamaica in my mimosa and it was delicious! Food was amazing. The beans were exceptional here, I really enjoyed them. They came as a side with the creamy green chilaquiles. The order of choriqueso tacos (3) was very filling. When the food finally came and I could tell that the chilaquiles looked different from last time... so I asked the girl if they were the chipotle and she decided to argue with me telling me I said habanero and that's what was given to me for both plates .. I said no ma'am I pointed at the chipotle and you even herd me telling the lady behind me that the chipotle and green were my favorite! She then took my plate ... (she was super mad) she then talked to the other girl and I can hear her she was said "she told me habanero and now she's saying she didn't and she now wants chipotle " ... ummmmm what ???! Miss ma'am is you out in my order wrong that was your fault not mine so don't be mad at me ! My friend was taken back by the was she was talking to me she decided to keep her food incase they decided to tamper with it (smart choice ) when my food finally came back I had like NO carnitas on my plate literally it was like one bite full and that was it! I paid $4 for ONE BITE OF CARNITAS !!!! Mind blowing. My chilaquiles didn't have the sour cream nor the pickled onions.. but I wasn't going to say anything about it since they already kept staring at me making me feel uncomfortable and you could tell they were talking about me.. my daughter just ate her one bacon because the pancake was sooooooo dry she didn't like it at all even after I put all the syrup on it to make it moist. The food portions are large and definitely heavy. The habaneros were good but on the really spicy side even if you like spicy. I wouldn't recommend if you want to eat comfortably. However, the creamy green were delicious and have a really good cheesy taste. The wait was a bit long even for a Friday morning. To dine-in you order at the register first and then seat yourself and they bring you your food to you. Not a place I would go to if I'm already hungry and want to eat soon. Waited longer than expected to get some butter for the toast we asked them not to slice/cut and they did anyway. The cafe de olla was not served from a traditional pot or enameled pot. Instead in a large metal pot. It was a tad bitter. Not sure on the recipe but it seemed to have a strong flavor that might be strong anise.
