Compared to other Mexican restaurants in the area, this is my least favorite. The menudo is very good and served every day, it's their only redeemable quality though. For 2 burritos was $8, I wouldn't recommend this place but instead go to La Taquiza, Crystal's, literally anywhere else but here.

AHHH La Doña, la doña. Que lastima! I was invited to try the menudo, an El Paso traditional "souplike" dish. And unfortunately I don't have much to say about this bowl. The restaurant is clean and the staff friendly but not very attentive. The chips and salsa was also tasty although the little bowl the salsa comes in is too small to dip a chip, you have to karate chop the chip to make it fit. My first impression for the meal was the bread (eh) and the chopped onion and cut lime. Both the onion and lime were a day old so I didn't use it (see picture) the menudo was average at best, and more than a few times I had to remove pieces of the meal from my mouth because it was too chewy and inedible. For the first time I didn't finish a bowl of menudo. THE BOTTOM LINE: if you want menudo make the drive to one of the many other good options in El Paso and skip La Doña. .....oh well

Okay...English is lacking but the menu is in English and she did try. The salsa was tasty although the chips were just a tad greasy. Food was decent-Not OMG but decent. Travis counted the waitress walking by our table and on two occasions dropping off our breakfast a total of 7 times and did not fill up his empty glass placed on the edge of the table. But she was nice, just not great waitress material. I guess if we were in the area we would give it a second try.

Excellent food and service. Quiet cozy restaurant. Absolutely delicious food. Clean and well lit. It's Off the beaten path, but when you find it you'll love it!

The salsa is spicy and full of flavor yum yum

It was our first time here tonight and we will definitely be back! I totally forgot to take pictures of the delicious food so I'm hoping my review will make you want to go try their food. When you walk in you can sit yourself and the wait staff will be with you soon. Our waitress was Valerie and she was fast, professional, and very nice. She brought out chips and salsa and the salsa was spicy and flavorful. Another great thing about this place is they sell breakfast all day!! My son ordered pancakes and they were fluffy and Bubba approved :) I ordered chicken flautas and the plate came with beans, rice, salad, sour cream and guacamole. My daughter had a tbone steak and that was cooked perfectly and had great flavor. Give it a try! Your taste buds will thank You!

From Arizona but whenever I'm in El Paso this is definitely the breakfast place to go to. The chilaquiles are soooo good both red and green.

It was very heavy and very cheesy. There was something super heavy about that I cant describe. The staff was super nice and got us our food and drinks and refilled our salsa n chips often. My friend had the mole item and felt it was way too sweet/cocoa on it. Overall I would've wanted to try the other machaca items and other things. The vibe is very homely and chill, bit of a hole in the wall atmosphere.

I had just flown in from the airport, and my brother arranged it as a special family gathering. Everything started normally: we were seated, ordered our food, received our drinks, and enjoyed the complimentary chips and salsa. Then my sister (who is LGBTQ+) stepped away to use the restroom. When she returned and sat down, a manager approached our table and loudly told her--in front of other diners--that "MEN cannot use the female restroom." My sister was mortified and humiliated by the public confrontation. The manager's tone and assumption were shocking and clearly discriminatory. We immediately got up and left without eating. This wasn't about enforcing any legitimate policy; it was rude, insensitive, and targeted. My adult sister is perfectly capable of reading the restroom signs herself--no one needed to police or shame her in such a way. The incident felt rooted in homophobia and transphobia from management. We will never return to this place, and we will actively discourage others--especially LGBTQ+ individuals and allies--from patronizing it. What should have been a joyful family milestone was ruined by bigotry. Avoid this establishment if you value respect and inclusivity.

While the food was never the primary…read morereason I returned, the excellent margaritas and outstanding service kept me coming back for nearly two decades. Unfortunately, that loyalty came to an end after a recent experience that was both disappointing and unacceptable. My family and I chose this restaurant to celebrate a birthday. Every guest paid separately, and there were no issues during the evening itself. However, as the event concluded, multiple attendees, including family members and in-laws, overheard servers making derogatory comments about our party. Among the remarks were that we were "ungrateful," "cheap," and "broke," along with other inappropriate comments that no customer should ever have to hear. I brought the matter to the attention of ownership, hoping for a meaningful resolution. While I was told the employees had been reprimanded, the proposed remedy was a $25 gift card. After nearly 18 years of patronage, the response felt dismissive and only added insult to injury. What disappoints me most is not simply the behavior of the staff, but the lack of accountability and concern shown afterward. This was a place I once considered a reliable and welcoming destination for family gatherings and celebrations. Sadly, that trust has been lost. As a result, I will no longer be returning or recommending this establishment to friends, family, or colleagues. Respect for customers should be a fundamental part of any hospitality business, and in this case, that standard was not met.

I bumped it up to four stars for the super friendly service and the excellent aguas frescas. We got there late, about an hour before closing and they were literally trying to get rid of the aguas for free. I guess they have to dump it if they don't use it all. It was close to our hotel so we gave it a try. Portion sizes are good. The taco platter comes with six tacos! I had the flautas Chinampa which came with four beef flautas, beans, rice, and salad. I forgot, the taco platter even came with a baked potato. Prices were excellent. We had gone to McDonald's in the morning and spent more. They also cave us frijoles charros for free. Not sure if this was standard or if they were also trying to get rid of it. I would return for the service and the convenience, but if you're looking for life changing Mexican cuisine, it's not here. What you get is a good amount of decent food at a good price served by great people.

Had multiple thousand Google reviews and they were all close to five stars. So I knew I had to check it out. It was super close to my hotel, so I popped in the car and found it without trouble. Trouble. Again, there is pretty limited parking so it's kind of hit and miss whether you'll find a spot or not. Fortunately, I did. When you walk up to the place, the building itself is pretty nondescript. They have a nice selection of outside seating, and your window to order is outside. Very nice lady at the counter gave me helpful suggestions and so I ordered three tacos and an amazing lime and cucumber fresca. Went in and sat down inside and was pleasantly surprised by the interior. It definitely had more of an upscale bar vibe to it than a Taco shop. The waiter that brought out my tacos told me that it turns into more of a nightclub after hours. I may have to go check that out. The tacos themselves were absolutely off the chain! The tortillas were blue corn and everything on it tasted so fresh and so wonderful. The carnitas was fantastic, the brisket Taco was to die for and the blackened shrimp Taco was one of the best I've ever had. Had. If you are in El Paso, you probably already know about this place. But I'm telling you what you cannot go wrong for tacos and that lime/ cucumber fresca! Bottom line? It's about 10 hours drive from Las Vegas to El Paso. And this Taco shop will give me a great reason to do a road trip anytime. Do yourself a favor and go check this place out!
