Never been to another Toro Bronco except the N. Loop location and thought it couldn't get better.. it did. The al pastor is cooked perfectly. It's tender city. The tripitas were well cooked and crunchy. The red salsa has a real kick and the queso findido was good with the long green chilies. The agua de pistachio was so good and refreshing.Our server was very attentive and provided a wonderful service experience. There was a young man singing amongst the crowd so that added to the good time. Now that we know it's as good if not better than the N. The sirloin just tasted really high-quality good chips with every meal with three different sauces. All really good! tacos came with avocado, cilantro, lime, fried onions, fried jalapeños, and radishes and side of whole beans. exquisite! prices are a little bit on the high-end but well worth it. I noticed that they had an amazing steak menu too for anyone who would be interested in that. they also had quesadillas and some other Mexican fare although the menu is not super large. and it tasted like the iced tea was actually made from scratch not a machine mix! My husband my son and I ate at Toro Bronco on Dyer last night, our bill was almost $80 plus for 3 orders of tacos, a queso an order of chiles, 2 red beer mixes ( we provided the beer) and 1 michalada (we provided the beer) Their prices have gone up about 25% since the last time we are there. In the past the restaurant was always packed well not last night. We will not be back and I think a lot of other people have the same sentiment. The $11.99 queso was barely enough for 2 people... very small portion. NOT WORTH THE MONEY. Also, if you pay with a credit card they will charge you for using your card.... As a business shouldn't that be a business expense... not all businesses charge % for using a credit card. For me that turns me off. WE WILL NOT BE BACK!!!! read more

For $11, you get unlimited chips n delicious salsas as well as 4 tacos... why chipotle even exists in Swell Paso confuses me. If i lived closer, I'd be getting lunch here every day. The wait staff is super attentive and welcoming. And the avacado salsa is sooo good. The chips come in a small bowl which is smart i guess, because if it didn't I wouldn't be able to control myself haha. They also give a nice little soup bowl with the complementary chips and salsa. Absolutley delicious. I got the Tacos Jaralillos de Res Con Queso, grilled steak smothered in queso fundido. These were some tasty tacos. Came with a baked potato, grilled jalapeño, avocado, onions and limes. These are a must if you have never been here before. They also start you off with ranchero beans and chips and salsa while you wait. Very inexpensive and I believe there are 3-4 locations through out the city, so you have no excuse to hit one up. read more

Very good experience. We tried to come here a few weeks ago but was was closed for the week of Easter. Plenty of seating and well lit. Not a huge crowd especially considering it was lunchtime. Loved that there were napkins on every table. Complimentary charro beans. They even had raw radish that I could order. And yum! Food came very fast and was fresh and delicious. Tacos were yummy (wife) and my carne asada papa was also quite tasty. Prices were quite reasonable. No seafood though. I love a Mexican shrimp cocktail. We will be back. read more

So ive managed to finally take more pictures of the food before inhaling it down the gullet and even tried to venture out more with food options for once. Didnt go too far from my usual tacos but at least i changed up the meat selections! In conclusion, the carne asada seems to be the tastiest selection for tacos in my books. The pastor seemed to have a kind of sour/bitter flavor to it when i prefer them to be more sweeter. I also tried the chicken which i found more tasty by itself rather than a taco. The chicken had more meat and in bigger cuts, which is probably why they cost another dollar more than the carne asada and pastor. I usually see chicken cheaper. But since the cuts are bigger, there's more meat to kind of filter out the seasoning, making the chicken taco taste more bland. Still, if i had to cut out red meats from my diet, this chicken taco is the way to go! read more

Came here after finding out our first pick had closed for the day.. so i felt iffy about coming to the second pick, but i was so happy we did because i enjoyed it so much. I think a big part of the reason why i liked it so much is because i've never shared a meal family style at a mexican place. four of us shared the parrillada for five ppl, which came with about a pound of steak, a pound of pork, queso fundido (melted cheese), guacamole, 5 baked potatoes, sauteed onions, blistered peppers, and a basket of tortillas. its so much fun composing each taco yourself, its almost like korean bbq with all the different combinations u can make. The meat quality of the beef and pork were good. Decent marbling, tender and with a good char. I think the pork was shoulder, not sure on the beef. We were also served a bean soup (frijoles charro?), chips and salsa as appetizers. I will warn you, i'm not a novice to spice by any means, but the red salsa here is meant to be used sparingly.. I took a big scoop of it in one bite and i had smoke coming out of my ears for like 10 minutes lol.. my mexican friends were laughing at me, i felt like how my white friends must feel when i take them to korean restaurants and they od on spice. trix are for kids.. in my defense, i think they use habanero in the red salsa. Another thing that surprised me was the size of the staff. There must've been at least 12 people working. I think its a sign of how much work goes into the place, that they don't skimp on anything. Do NOT eat here. The food was horrid! I should have known when I asked if they had homemade tortillas, which they do not, that this was not going to be authentic. The chips are to thick and stale. The queso came out cold and we had to cut it with a knife after sending it back three times. Yes you heard me, we cut our hot queso with a knife! For some reason our Mexican entries came with baked potatoes?! Which we did not eat and of course had to paid for. The meal was pricey for the portions. I left hungry. I would never go back. I was getting new tires put on my car so I made the half mile walk to Tacos El Toro Bronco 2, and was quite glad I did. It was 2 PM so I was one of the only people in the restaurant. I don't know if this is the same one as the one in S EP or not, but I think it is owned by the same people. This one didn't have lunch specials according to the waiter, but maybe there was some lost in translation going on because it was after 2 (the other one has a great lunch special). The prices are pretty good and they give you several different salsas and guac. I got the carnitas tacos and they were delicious. Good and friendly waiter. Worth a visit! read more

This place was pretty ok. A bunch of us went out for lunch one day and ended up here. I owed my friend lunch so it turned out to be a lot more expensive than anticipated. (His 8 tacos were $17) plus the to go drinks are more expensive than the drinks brought to the table. Tacos are pretty standard across the board in El Paso. These were ok. The best part during the meal were the two guys that came in to play live music. They had incredible voices and really set the mood right. It was a nice unexpected surprise. Went to eat dinner based upon a recommendation and was not disappointed. I had the carnitas, wife and daughter had carne asada, and son had the barbacoa. No one complained about anything other than the jalapeño peppers being spicy (positive!!). Half an avocado per plate of 4 tacos another big bonus. I ordered a baked potato with cheese and carne asada which everyone assisted me with and was the perfect addition as we all agreed we could have had more tacos.
