Need to get your Mexican food fix on from somewhere with a tasty menu & takeout options? That's what we were looking for when we ordered lunch the other day and we were pleasantly surprised! Ordered the 25 Flautas, 5 Tacos and 5 Enchiladas Family Pack along with a Gordita plate and one kids meal (nuggets & fries) The consensus from the family had the flautas as the favorite option with gorditas coming in a close second. The tacos were good also but a little greasy. Enchiladas were also tasty but would have been better with chicken. Happy with the local option for some delicious Mexican food. Looking forward to future visits! read more

Very modern Mexican restaurant. It was so busy during the lunch time, we ended up being late for work! Expect a wait for food and checkout when you go there. The restaurant was very clean and had cute decorations, the food was really good, but the service was just okay. Our server refused to speak English.. Every time when she comes by our table, she would ask something in Spanish but I had no idea what she was saying. I liked the idea of "build your own enchilada". You can basically choose meat, toppings and sauce. Mine was shredded beef with cheese and red sauce. It was very good! I'm definitely gonna go back there. read more

Tortas Grill - Shredded beef enchilada with red sauce - Mexican Near Me - El Paso, Texas

Kinda funny I hadn't tried the eponymous torta here, so decided to try it out my last visit. I think it's the best torta I've had here (compared to tortas mexico and rainbow fountain. I had the carlito (carnitas). It is huge and super rich. Great bread, the carnitas were crisped up and not overly fatty. Inside the torta there are beans, salsa, and a few tiny slivers of tomato onion avocado. The chili powder sprinkled on the fries and chile de arbol torreado was a nice touch. My only complaint is that there could be more veges to freshen this super rich dish up. Next time I would cut it in half and eat it with whatever veges I have on hand at home. Not that I was able to finish it. I was so determined to eat it all and miserably failed and had to take an emergency nap afterwards.. T^T read more

Finally a good Mexican eatery that was worth my money! This was my first time here and I loved this little place. It still smelled like new place smell. It is very casual and modern, and did not smell of Manteca like most Mexican restaurants. We were immediately greeted and seated by Jose F. Very friendly and smiley waiter. When you sit down they give you this big ass bowl of tostadas (add your own salt) and a tiny delicious container of green salsa. The menu has a variety of food, not just enchiladas. They had tacos, flautas, Mexican plates, seafood, and looks like they serve breakfast as well. I had the flautas nortenas, your choice of beef, chicken, or potatoes, I had the beef. It came with an order of 5 non greasy flautas, topped with hunks of avocado, shredded cheese, white onions. Also included was rice and beans, avocado sauce, sour cream, and a side salad! Ate everything on the plate! My partner had the tacos Suizas, they tasted good, some kind of grilled steak, with cheese and cilantro, that came with a baked potato, guacamole, and beans! Oh and I got my free desert, a cheesecake, when you check in with Yelp! I will be back! Loved the food and the waiter's smile! read more

Not great. Basic enchiladas. Sauces taste canned . Fries are frozen and dry. Their rice and beans are the worst ! Very surprised this place has lasted this long . First couple of times here was when it used to be La Enchilada . Now it's Tortas Grill , food is distasteful , do not recommend ! read more

I think these were the best enchiladas I've ever had. They had so many different sauces and the poblano in the chipotle sauces were fabulous. The waitress was efficient and good. they had live music on Friday night. The enchiladas surprised me because the cheese inside was actually grilled and melted before they put the sauce on it which added an extra kick to the flavor. I will definitely come here again. read more

I hate giving bad reviews but I am very disappointed with this place. I recently received a gift card from Grub Hub so I ordered from here. Everything indicated that the place was open, but when the driver got there the place was closed. I even got an email saying my food was being prepared. I just about cried I was so hungry. It would've been nice if they mentioned they were closed. read more

This placed has great customer service and a killer chicken tortilla soup! Their side carne asada taco is great also. Beware of their salsa, it is super spicy! read more

We ordered two gorditas plates to go, one with ground beef and deshebrada. Beans, rice and the meets were very good BUT the gordita pockets were tough. I really appreciated them not putting the lettuce and tomatoes on the gorditas so we could put the salsa on first then the lettuce/tomatoes. We loved the tostada strip and salsa. read more

I got the plate #2 and it was pretty good. BF said that his torta was tasty but wished there was beans in it. My friend had the tripas tacos. She said they were nice and crispy. Cute little place, small homey feeling and very nice service. Got a free flan dessert, thanks Yelp! I liked it but my company said it had a weird texture. All in all I will come back. read more

La Enchilada definitely lived up to my expectations! I love that there are so many options when it comes to fillings, sauces and sides for your enchiladas. The waiter was even kind enough to let my boyfriend and I try different sauces before we ordered. I really enjoyed this place and the ambiance of it. Good music and even better food. I'm looking Forward to my next visit! read more

So, went in for lunch today to try it out. There were 6 of us and we saw the place as we were driving and thought, why not. The issue I had the most problem with was the wait staff. First she asked all of us what we wanted, when it came to me I said "Dr Pepper " ...moments went by and everyone got their drinks but me. When I asked for it again she responded " oh yeah, Dr Pepper. " 15 min went and she proceeded to take our our, when again, I asked for a drink. Now with 6 orders you would think it to be the smart thing and write it down, nope. Now...20 more minutes goes by and yes, I understand that the food would take a bit...that's fine, but the food orders came out wrong...oh, and did I mention still no drink. If you have a big group of 6 or more, heck, 4 or more even..write it down. I ended up going up to the counter and getting the drink myself. read more

In El Paso there are a ton of Mexican resturants. You have to do something to make yours different. This place was awesome. I've never had chicken gorditas nor enchiladas with green tomato sauce but I had them today. The waitress was quick and our food came out quickly. It was not busy when we were there. The atompshere was nice. The only fault they had today was the Air conditioner was not working so it was hot and stuffy. For me that was not enough to hurt its 5 stars rating. Just be warned it may be stuffy but the plates are huge. literally one plate covered half the table. Try if for yourself ... read more

Had an early dinner today with my wife and daughter and we got there right before the mariachi crowd arrived. It was nice and dinner was awesome. Everyone enjoyed their dinner selection and my daughter really loved her free chocoflan dessert. Will definitely be going back.. read more

This place totally exceeded my expectations. I was a little skeptical about people saying the service was bad, or the food had changed but I stayed hopeful. Walking in the decor was really modern and our waitress was friendly. I ordered a fresh juice that had cucumber, apple, and other greens. I got a combination plate to try everything out, it arrived within a good amount of time. The juice was fresh, the salsas were good, and everything on my plate tasted freshly made and amazing. I think my favorites were the enchilada and the brisket tacos. I noticed they did to go and had really great deals on them, and if you check in for the first time you get a free dessert. Definitely craving to dine here again! read more

We went here for lunch today and all the food was great and the staff was top notch! I'm not sure how we've never seen this place before... The presentation of the food was beautiful and the flautas we perfect! I think Im going to try the gorditas next. I like the fact that they bring different kinds of salsa to try with your meal as well! Keep up the great service!!! read more

VERY BAD SERVICE!!!!! I had to give it a star but if it was for me I would not give it any. The server never came to take our drink order even after we were sitting there for about 15 min. Great atmosphere and great food ! The night we went they had mariachis and it was so awesome ! Had a wonderful time.

Gone 3 times to give it another try, the worst service!, not friendly at all. Always seems like we are bothering them. Foods good.

This place has the best menudo that I've had tried in El paso. The food is good Everytime and affordable.

Went awhile back with my girlfriend and hadn't been since. The service just went down the drain, the food remained on par.

Some friends of mine brought my husband and I a spread of take out from here when we had our baby. It was delicious. My husband was especially impressed with the green enchiladas and how the heat crept up on him after all the flavors were tasted. He loved them and couldn't get enough. He had never had green enchiladas that were actually spicy and flavorful at a restaurant. I really liked the mole enchiladas! read more

Upon entering the restaurant it smelled heavily of fresh paint, which made it hard to enjoy the meal to the fullest potential. We went for late lunch around 2pm. I ordered red cheese Enchiladas, the food arrived in a timely manner, but to my dismay it was luke warm. The cheese on the Enchiladas was not even melted. The chile did have a good taste, but I was disappointed. Beans and rice were the best thing on the plate. read more

My favorite enchilada restaurant in the east side. Good, fresh authentic, and good variety.

This restaurant is horrible! My family and I ate here on a Friday early evening. My husband, daughter, mother and myself were the only ones dining. The food was horrible and tasted like it wasn't fresh. Tastes like it's either canned or just spoiling. We also ordered food to go and they barely put any food in the box. They never check on you for refills, and refuse to give you napkins. When you do ask for napkins for a family of 4 they give you 2. You ask for more and you get dirty looks as if you are bothering them. We never got the check. The employees are hiding in the back the whole time laughing. I tried asking for a manger but it only seems they have teenagers working there. There was only one person in the front (every once in a while) and who knows what the cook is doing back there. I highly recommend to spend your hard earned money elsewhere, it's not worth it here. read more
