I have visited Paseo del Sol restaurant many times and have always been pleased. This restaurant has an ample parking lot, is cozy, has friendly customer service, and delicious home food. Every time I am here, I am always delighted. Throughout the restaurant, there is an ongoing sense of peace and positivity. After you order, while waiting for your food, the staff brings you chips and salsa; the salsa is delicious, not mild, but not too spicy. The food does take a while to be served, but the waiting is worth it. The food tastes home-cooked. They offer various Tex-Mex dishes and true natural aguas frescas such as Piña, Melon, Limonada, Pistachio, and horchata. Paseo del Sol also offers desserts. I saw the Choco flan, and it looks delicious. I'm looking forward to returning on a Tuesday to have a bowl of their Caldo de Res. Tuesday to Saturday. Paseo del Sol restaurant opens at 6 am and on Sundays at 7 am. This is the perfect place for breakfast after a long run or run at McKellingon Canyon. read more

The aguas frescas looked delicious. They have a pistachio agua fresca which is pretty unique. Breakfast was good. I wish the salsa they use in the plates had more of a kick in spice. Paseo Del Sol restaurant used to be my go to restaurant for breakfast. In the past, the service was excellent. I stopped by several days ago for breakfast and the wait staff forgot to bring salsa and chips. Not much of a problem and I asked for a side order of salsa when my breakfast arrived figuring the waiter would realize that he forgot to the chips and salsa initially. But he did not get the hint. Today I stopped in for breakfast. A waitress brought a menu. After that, no one stopped at my table to take my order. I waited patiently for about 15 minutes and then left when I was not waited on. It was a little busy (restaurant was less than 50% full) and there was 3-4 wait staff. It is a shame that I will not patronize this establishment in the future because the breakfast is excellent - but the service sucks - or maybe service was bad just for me. read more

Ordered a "Chile relleno breakfast" plate, basically subbing the rice for the potatoes con chorizo. Had two eggs on top over medium - absolutely delicious!!! Service is amazing, Nancy was an absolute delight! There was a slight mix up with the eggs and being over charged but it was taken care of at the register. Came here for the first time for Sunday lunch with a friend. It had a nice family feel to it. It was crowded when we got in (11:30), but by the time we left it had thinned out (12:15). Overall, it was a good experience altogether. Service was excellent. Courteous and friendly servers. They frequented our table to make sure we were doing well. Food was good and very reasonably priced. I tried shredded beef tacos (3) for $6.99. They were good. Of course with complimentary chips and salsa. Salsa was not too spicy which I appreciated very much. No dinner service. Closed on Mondays. The owner told us they have been open for four months. I love going to this place down the street from my work! I always get the bean and cheese smothered in their green sauce and cheese....so delicious! The green chicken enchiladas are also super good it's a little spicy with a lot of flavor!!! I've also ordered the chicken quesadilla and uuuugh!!! The chicken is soooo good! Add a side of guac and sour cream and you are all set! They always have aguas which are usually good too. I usually order to go from there when I can't take a long lunch and I can literally order it right before I leave work and by the time I get there it's already being put in a bag for me. Everyone is always so friendly and it always looks clean. I've heard from coworkers that the oatmeal is very good as well as the moyetes and breakfast burritos. Their burritos are huge for the price, their salsa is absolutely incredible. I would suggest to stop serving salsa and ketchup in metal dishes, it makes the tomato flavor taste like iron. Otherwise, huge portions for the price. Service is so warm and friendly. It's always packed but waitstaff never makes you wait too long. I was actually informed to order asap because the waiter knew a large party was arriving soon. So nice. This place is super busy Sunday mornings and Tuesdays. We live right next door and I decided to bring in some breakfast burritos for my staff. The employees there are very friendly and helpful! I got 2 of each of the breakfast burritos they had. They were all really good, nice size, and filling! My staff enjoyed them all. The chorizo and potatoes didn't have as much meat as I would have liked though. I will definitely return again hopefully on a Tuesday to try the soup! read more
