Enchilada Verde with Chicken- sauce was thick and not a traditional verde sauce
    Joseph U.

This place is worth a review. I was expecting more as it was recommend as "real" and "authentic" mexican by a few. The place was packed for lunch. Nothing super special in my opinion. Their homemade flour tortillas were the only thing that stood out. I don't know if this is traditional Oaxacan cooking or not, but the lack of Mole options suggests not. If you go get the Carne Asada burrito with avocado added. It did have a nice homey decor.

I kept it classic with waffles, bacon, and eggs--and it absolutely hit the mark. The waffles were light, fluffy, and perfectly golden, the bacon was cooked just right, and everything came out fresh and satisfying. Simple comfort food done right. But what really elevated the experience was the atmosphere. They had live musical entertainment by Louie, who was incredible. He played a mix of hits from yesterday and today, moving effortlessly between country & western, contemporary favorites, and traditional Spanish songs. His versatility created a warm, lively environment that both staff and customers clearly enjoyed--it added something special you don't find everywhere. Service was just as impressive. Our server, XAY, had a bright, welcoming smile and provided outstanding service from start to finish. They offered great suggestions on local favorites and specials, which made the experience feel personal rather than routine. The vibe overall is relaxed, inviting, and very "El Paso"--a place where you can sit, enjoy your meal, and stay a while. Overall: Delicious, well-executed brunch classics Live music that enhances the experience (not overwhelms it) Exceptional, friendly service Comfortable, welcoming atmosphere Would I go back? Without a doubt. This is more than just brunch--it's an experience.

The food was absolutely amazing -- everything we ordered was flavorful, fresh, and beautifully prepared. You could tell a lot of care went into both the menu and presentation. What really stood out, though, was how attentive and genuinely kind our server was throughout the evening. Even with how busy El Paso was that weekend, we never felt rushed or overlooked. The atmosphere was relaxed and welcoming, and it ended up being one of our favorite dining experiences of the trip. If I return to El Paso in the future, Neighbor Good Kitchen & Bar will definitely be on my list of places to visit again.

For starters the atmosphere was so cute. Absolutely loved the bar and hanging pots everywhere. Such a clean restaurant and cute vibe. Our waitress was very nice and friendly to us. So no issues there! For drinks I got their berry lemonade which tasted just like lemon juice. I had to request for sugar to be added since it was so sour so beware. My food had came out and to be honest I'm just a little bit disappointed. The rigatoni was cooked but the sauce for it was really not tasty? Like there was almost not a flavor I can taste. Of course there was something but it was very plain and barely even there. It also was not spicy whatsoever. I added grilled chicken too and oh boy was that dry dry DRY. The burrata personally I'm not a fan in general so of course I wouldn't be a fan this time either but they gave a nice little plate full of it. They added some oiled toasted bread and it was way too crispy in my opinion. My partner got the chicken Parmesan and his dish tasted great! Very juicy chicken and cooked all the way. The sauce was perfect too nice and flavorful and great pairing with the chicken. His butter noodles were just like regular butter noodles so not bad. Finally the crème brûlée. Probably the most disappointing dish we ordered. It took repeated stabs to break the sugar glaze on top. Me and my partner were honestly thinking that they added the cream on top to hide how burnt it was actually. Unfortunately because the glaze was so thick and burnt it made the rest of the cream taste have the burnt flavor. It was sad because my partner was looking forward to this desert. Also took wayyy longer to arrive than our entrées. I will say that the waitress was very helpful and she actually covered the crème Brulé. I didn't even ask she just offered, I think she could tell that we didn't enjoy it and I had nicely told her it wasn't what we were expecting so thank you sincerely. Overall I think this is a perfect spot to maybe try drinks and hang with friends. Food was okay, wouldn't try it again in that regard but overall a decent spot here in El Paso if you're looking for something new. Maybe best to ask what's their best dish to serve. Overall thank you.

We had a hummus appetizer to start off with, beautiful presentation; we practically licked the plate. Then we ordered three entrées. We had the chicken pasta dish, the chicken pesto sandwich, and the mushroom ravioli. Each of the dishes was beautifully plated/presented, and the flavors and complexity of each dish was absolutely perfect. I had a glass of wine, then a whiskey strawberry cocktail, which was super refreshing and beautiful. The bill came out to about $97 for two alcoholic beverages, a tea, an appetizer and three entrées, which is really good in my opinion. I am so looking forward to trying their brunch and their high tea very soon. And I learned that they have great specials Wednesday through Friday. Half of tapas and wine on Wednesdays! I enjoyed mine red, with eggs over easy. The pancakes were good, but I was really impressed with the whipped cream's flavor...it was dense, not overly sweet, and no after taste. Noah's chicken and waffles was good enough that he didn't leave any for anybody to taste. It was a lot easier to get into than the place next door. I recommend.

I came in alone today because I wanted the Lamb shawarms and had a little time to kill. It's also a fun art deco sort of environment, so that's fun. Thing started going downhill when the shawarma arrived with raw halved cherry tomatoes. One of the great things about that sandwich is the grilled tomatoes. It cuts the sharpness of the tomatoes and gives a beautiful sweetness to them. The server delivered the plate and ran... I am only exaggerating slightly. I didn't see him for 10 minutes while I nibbled at the (undercooked) fries. I intentionally drink down my tea so that an empty glass might catch his attention and he finally arrived. I absolutely hate sending food back and thought about removing them, but it's just not the same. In any case, he apologized, took the plate away and promised to come back with more tea and water. Eventually the plate came back and the tea and water were refilled shortly after that. Two of the tomatoes seem to have almost reached the bare minimum definition of grilled. The other 6 were fresh, plump, and still firm. I scraped them all off at that point. To add to the issues, the plate doesn't seem to have been under the heat lamp. The undercooked fries returned, only now they were cold. It's moderately busy and they seem to only have one server working. He's friendly and polite if a bit rushed by the understaffing. The sandwich even without the tomatoes? Delicious. The fries were a huge disappointment today and they are usually delicious. I'm gonna chalk this up to a collision of bad luck. I genuinely love the food here, but I definitely should have gone elsewhere tonight.

Which were good (lacked a little crisp but had good flavor). The green salsa at the table was fantastic, a little slice but a ton of flavor. Everything was fresh, the chips were freshly baked, the rice was not day old rice like at so many places around here it was good and actually had some flavor, the beans were good (the bright orange color of the beans surprised me, turmeric? Regardless they were delicious). Unfortunately the meat had zero spices, not even salt. The only reason not taking off a star is the salsa paired perfectly with the shredded beef tacos and the green chili burger, but a little bit of salt would have elevated the meal for sure. There was no salt on the meat in any of the meals we'd ordered. The coffee was good and strong, the mugs weren't tiny little mugs they actually gave you enough coffee to enjoy and the experience over all was wonderful. My mom spoke Spanish, I border on no sabo, pero intendo and my kids speak no Spanish at all, the menu was all Spanish but the waitress was patient and sweet with every order. Definitely worth the visit.
