The dishes were very well made, as if the owners were preparing them for themselves. We could tell a lot of care went into preparing them. I ordered Gom Bibim. The dish was visually pleasing and delicious. The flavor of the noodles was light. Often, the noodles in bibim kooksoo are drenched in sauce. These were prepared just right. The bedding of mixed greens were very fresh and paired nicely with the spicy noodles. My daughter ordered Gom Tang. The dish was good. The broth was a bit saltier than the traditional gom tang. She said that the egg was good. My sister-in-law ordered Gom Ramen. She said that it hit the spot. Delicious! We also ordered mandoo. They were served with a light kochojang sauce, and were hot and crispy. I highly recommend this restaurant. We are in town for the BTS concert. Just little oasis in the desert :). Great atmosphere and perfectly located off of I-10 less than 1 minute. Food was prepped quickly and I can't see any differences of spicy noodle between here and Korea. The egg inside of spicy noodle wasn't just regular boiled egg, it was soy sauce marinated egg with beef the same as well. I had a taste for Ramen so I started my Google searches and that is how I came across Gom Ramen in El Paso, Texas. I have been down here for the last two months for work, checking out various restaurants in the area and I randomly thought to myself, I've not had any Texas-based Ramen just yet. The service was great, I was helped as soon as I walked in the clean establishment. The prices of the food were great and the quality was superb. Okay, this restaurant is absolutely adorable and so cozy. My husband said it made him feel like he was back in Korea. The Spring Rolls came out super fresh and had the perfect veggie ratio. I ordered the Ramen with a level 1 spice..was playing it safe but next time I will definitely be doing level 2. Ended up dumping quite a bit of chili powder onto it, haha. This is the kind of local, charming place I am happy to give a 5 to. Easy. The food is wholesome and yummy. The service is good. Location is out of high traffic areas. And the ambiance is super cute. I really respect that their menu is small. Its like them saying, "We know what we're good at and that's what you get." Gom Ramen was an unexpected (good) surprise while visiting El Paso for work. Gom isn't too far from the airport and was really close to the hotel that I was staying at. I started out with the beef dumplings and would highly recommend trying them. Rather than the normal steamed dumplings, these are fried in oil making them extra crispy. They were very flavorful and not too heavy. I then had the Gom Ramen with a spice level of 1 (the levels go from 0 to 3). I have a moderate spice tolerance and the level 1 was perfect. The broth was great and the ramen noodles were fantastic! The only thing that left me wanting more was the thinly sliced beef. It was a little tough for me but still pretty good. I would 100% come back here and dine again. I would consider this a must stop for those looking for something other than steak and tacos. The service was quick and prompt. Deliciousness in a bowl. I was craving a good bowl of something hot and have been wanting to try this place because of the good reviews. I wasn't disappointed. My wife and I both ordered the Gom Ramen with level 2 spice. This is no entry level heat as it had a good kick to it, giving nthe seasoned broth additional flavor. My only wish is that there was more noodles and beef in the soup, but you can order additional sides of each of you wish. I ordered the bulgogi on the side just to see how it fared with the broth and the sweetness of the meat complimented the spiciness of the broth. This place is amazingly good and absurdly cheap. I had the Gom Tang, green tea (bottled), and the Hom Coffee for $11.90! For the quality and taste it felt like a massive steal. The restaurant itself is tiny with limited seating so be prepared to wait. Last time I tried eating here they ran out of noodles two hours before closing so they closed early, I can't even be mad at that. The noodles are amazing. I ordered the Gom Tang level 3 spicy and it was delicious. I wish it had been spicier, but I heard you can request for them to go past level 3. I visited this place to try the GOM Ramen (spicy-3). The place is quaint and nice. I ordered what I came for and noticed that a GOM option with rice was available to I ordered it "to-go" I finished my GOM ramen but slightly disappointed on the savory level of the broth. It seem watered down and spiciness was at the good level. When I eventually ate my "to-go" dish, I thought it was far more savory than the ramen version. And they're Korean ramen noodles, not to be compared to Japanese ramen noodles. - The place is small and interesting. But the 5 stars is for the ramen, not the digs. There's nothing wrong with the atmosphere or service, but sometimes great food is all that matters. - Normally, I love spicy food, like the spicier the better. Like give me the hottest chicken wings in your area and I'll eat them. No cap. But here, while the spicy versions are great, I would consider a less spicy version just to appreciate the noodles and soup. They're that good. - If you get take out, there's handwritten Korean (hangul) on the lid and an adorable bear which might look like a certain character popular in Korea but don't want to get anyone in trouble.
