    The Shoyu on Fire
    Alex G.

This ramen is great. It has a great veggie to meat ratio and lots of great broth. I got the shoyu on fire and well it's actually on fire but in a good way. They're $20 combo is awesome because all their apps are delicious. The waitress was quick and to the point. This location is more of sit down and chat type of restaurant due to the fact there was no TVs on the wall and the music wasn't so loud. Overall awesome experience.

Great service. Good food, fun atmosphere. Ordered the Shoyu on Fire combo with a Pork Bun, and got the grilled gyoza appetizer. All of it was very delicious, The pickled onions in the pork bun really set it off, Gyoza was very flavorful, you could actually taste the ingredients inside the gyoza where at some other places all you taste is a generic mush with thoughts of pork flavoring, not the case here. Shoyu on Fire ramen (chicken) was delicious, very filling - got the medium spice level and it still had quite the kick to it, heat had my nose running but the flavor in the broth was so good I couldn't stop slurping it down. Very good ramen spot. Hope to visit again soon.

Silverlake Ramen is located in a plaza next to Five Guys Burgers and Menchies Frozen Yogurt off I-10 West on the west side of El Paso. Silverlake is affordable and delicious. I visited SilverRamen after church, and when I entered the restaurant, I thought it was a fast food place, but no, it was a sit-in restaurant, and they serve hot sake. The servings are generous and are served on beautiful plates. I had the truffle ramen with chicken. I didn't love the chicken, but the ramen was gold. Their parking lot is ample, and they accept cash and credit cards. I enjoyed their cute ice cream cookie dessert. It's an excellent place to visit if you are craving carbs.

I have ordered takeout before, but this was my first time at Silverlake. The atmosphere is pretty good. It is loud since the music is playing, so it's not the perfect place for a lot of discussion. I ordered the spicy ramen with chicken, and I forgot the name. But the ramen was really good. For my drink, I ordered matcha tea. If you want something bland, then it's no issue ordering this. But it will be my last time. I prefer a little sweetner in my tea.

I had never tried Ramen other than your typical Maruchan store bought brand. I have been to Silver Lake a few times since I first tried it and every time was a hit. I love their lunch combo special for $20. You get an appetizer a pre selected Ramen bowls. I have tried the fried gyoza and Blaze Ramen twice and I am hooked. The gyozas are the best I have ever had. Always fresh and the filling is so flavorful and fried to perfection. The broth is creamy and the soup is hearty and satisfying. It's spacious on the inside and the decor is fun and catchy. Service has been great as well.

This is the best ramen I've ever had and this is my most fave ramen restaurant so far! So many choices, I like the classic with pork.

This is my most fave ramen place so far. I like the classic with pork and it's amazing! I tried the Eastlake location first but thank goodness this one is in West Town Market, closer to Las Cruces! Best Ramen ever!

Ambiance is really nice inside. Ramen is great, quick service as well. Portions are just right and they don't overcook the pork like some do. Broth is by far the best in town!

Clean, bright and airy, with a noisy, festive atmosphere. The ramen dishes we ordered were just as exciting as the festive atmosphere. I ordered the Shoyu Ramen with pork. What a delightful bowl of addictively seasoned chicken broth, springy, chewy noodles with fresh toppings of spinach, scallions, bamboo shoots, nori, and perfect soft boiled egg. My flavorful pork was tender, juicy, and had just enough fat to make each bite an explosion of meaty goodness. My husband also ordered the Shoyu, but with tofu which he said was perfect! Definitely check this place out when you're craving perfect ramen!

Overall: Good service. Big space. Decent ramen. Environment/Ambience: It was not hard to find this place. A lot of parking. Inside the restaurant is a lot of seating. They had informational TVs running showcasing ramen and how it's made. Service: Was great! I was sat down immediately. Although, I will say the server who sat me down was surprised I went in by myself lol. She was attentive but not too attentive, which was great for someone dining alone - although I wonder if it was because she may have felt awkward - oh well lol. I used the check-in free drink and I was given my drink asap :) Food: It was pretty good. I wish the tofu was marinated and the noodles didn't have the texture of freshly pulled and made noodles, but honestly can't remember if they make the noodles in house. I wish the broth was spicer but overall love the fact I got 1.5 eggs.

Strawberry Soju. 13% and can hardly tell. Dangerously tasty adult beverage.

Gf suggested this spot so it was new to us and man was it a top tier pick. Started off with some strawberry Soju. For a 13% for the volume, it went down very smooth and was pleasantly sweet. Also had Creamy Broccolini, roasted broccoli with a creamy garlic aioli, savory and crispy. I think I could have just ate that alone and been happy. If I go vegan thats all I'm ever eating. I had the Japanese Karrage Chicken; triple fried so its extra crispy yet juicy chicken pieces. Steamed white rice, green onions and pickled ginger to garnish. Eel, soy sauce and a spicy creamy sauce that I don't recall. This dish hit every zone in your pallet with umami. Ever take a bite of something that is so good, things go quiet? Thats what the first bite did. It's a healthy helping and I wanted another bowl. Highly recommend. My gf had their Garlic Truffle Ramen. It looked and smelled amazing. Thick noodles with a soft boiled egg, fried pork belly and a side of chili paste that was pretty strong by its self. (PSA don't try the paste by its self, learn from my mistake). All in all great food experience. Service was top notch, food was amazing and price was fair for todays prices. Will 100% go back and I highly recommend you try it if you haven't.

I love the apps here like the creamy broccolini! The ramen is good but has a lot of like flavoring. I would come back for apps, drinks, and dessert! The ramen not so much. Service was awesome and ambiance was like every good ramen shop!

Chicken in the ramen was super, super tender. The pickled cucumbers reminded me of the ones in Japan. Ramen was lovely. Great time.

We had wonderful meals of BBQ, Southern, American and Mexican food but we started to miss our Ramen meals back home. This place was great. Ot had a youthful, edgy vibe with cozy and nice colorful decor. We ordered the Thicc Boi and Birria Ramen, and ordered sides of the Thai Peanut Cucumber Salad, and Pork buns. The salad was a nice appetizer. We wished we had this back home. The dressing tasted peanutty with black sesame seeds and a nice acid balance. Kaemada's Ramen has El Paso influences. The broth had full bodied flavor, the meat was cut thicker with grilled char! Please also try the Birrea Ramen! We eat Birria broth and tacos at home and this ramen bowl was a great marriage of the 2 dishes. The thick cut and grilled char feature was also included in the pork bun. It was so tasty and satisfying with the thick pork cut, which I often thought was too thin anyways in the original version. They took the best El Paso meat flavor and Japanese presentation influences to make Kaemada's dish unique and their own. Don't expect the delicate and refined dashi broth Japan has. Be open to the bold flavors of the pork and broth. Expect a Southwest and Japanese fusion of robust and evolved flavors. Personally, I like firm noodles so request it cooked this way. Izzy, our server was friendly and attentive. She made our meal there more pleasant. Don't forget to order the Yuzu Cheesecake, light and not so sweet with a strong presence of Yuzu. A great finish to our meal. 10/10.

The dishes were very well made, as if the owners were preparing them for themselves. We could tell a lot of care went into preparing them. I ordered Gom Bibim. The dish was visually pleasing and delicious. The flavor of the noodles was light. Often, the noodles in bibim kooksoo are drenched in sauce. These were prepared just right. The bedding of mixed greens were very fresh and paired nicely with the spicy noodles. My daughter ordered Gom Tang. The dish was good. The broth was a bit saltier than the traditional gom tang. She said that the egg was good. My sister-in-law ordered Gom Ramen. She said that it hit the spot. Delicious! We also ordered mandoo. They were served with a light kochojang sauce, and were hot and crispy. I highly recommend this restaurant. We are in town for the BTS concert. The rolls here are much bigger in size than most places and it felt like it was harder to eat without it just falling apart. I also picked this place due to the reviews but it seems like the name has been changed and maybe the business owner as well because it's now called Sushi Gang.
