Surprised at how pleasant this lil ramen spot is! If I'm being completely honest, I would have to say the ramen is worth it for the customizing aspect and the portion of the bowls. So you definitely get what you pay for. I love a good Tonkotsu miso based broth with pork cutlets and half a boiled egg. What's even better is enjoying that with the kikurage, bok choy, fried onions, and green onions. My bowl was bomb! Service was good and very attentive. The place is very casual and our waitress had a very cheery attitude which was perfect. She did have to tell us that some options for sushi were unfortunately unavailable so we would have to opt for other options last minute. The sushi is subpar at best so I recommend to go more for ramen and some other side options. I feel like it took awhile though for our orders to be prepared and there was only one other table that night. Luckily we weren't in a hurry but I couldn't help but notice. I would come back for the ramen and try their yakitori or fried potato shrimp which look divine. They also have a katsu bowl option that looks promising.

I stopped at Food King for my hunt for the Pepsi Blue after going to the movies. Was tempted to pick up some Chinese food but realized the business that used to be there was now Juns Ramen & Sushi. My family and I decided to check it out anyway. Upon entering the place wasn't too packed and there was enough room for my mom's wheelchair, and the waitress greeted us really nicely compared to some other places who feel like having someone in a wheelchair is a hassle. My mother immediately had to use the restroom and so did I and I can say they are very well maintained and very clean. We ended up ordering sushi for my mom and my brother and I got ramen with slight differences. My mom ordered the Rainbow Roll and the California Roll. The Rainbow Roll was her favorite and she found the salmon to be absolutely delicious. It was also quite stunning if I should say so myself. The California roll was also good, but compared to the Rainbow Roll it really didn't stand a chance. As for the ramen, we really liked the make your own ramen concept but if you have never ordered ramen before it is possible to be confused by a few of the options. It was my brother's first time ordering ramen so I helped him. My brother chose the Tonkotsu soup, Regular noodle, Shio (sea salt), Chashu (pork belly), and he ordered 1/2 egg, nori (seaweed), green veggies, and the naruto. I decided for my ramen I wanted the house soup, regular noodle, nori, green veggies and the naruto. The only thing that really set our ramens apart was the choice of soup and I had tofu and I am very happy I went with the House soup. The house soup had more taste than the tonkotsu in my personal opinion, and my brother tasted mine and enjoyed mine better as well. Overall though I still enjoyed the ramen and want to come back and test different combinations. Service was a dream. Our server was very attentive and even got us to try the Tornado Shrimp appetizer and we ordered the gyoza as well. The gyoza was perfect and the tornado shrimp was good but not something we really need to try again. I would be back because of the food and service. Service only was a 5/5.

Just tried out a new place that opened on the Westside called Jun's Ramen and Sushi. It's a cool make-your-own-ramen concept and reminds a little me of an Izakaya (Japanese bar) with the emphasis on appetizers, but no alcohol just yet. The boba selection was good though. We tried the potato shrimp and it was like the tornado potatoes on a stick you get at the street fairs in Asia wrapped around shrimp. It was very light and crispy. Very airy, I think it tastes better than the normal tempura shrimp that's more common. Lightly drizzled with mayo and ponzu, this was a solid order, although a little pricey. The ramen wasn't anything to write home about. I liked that they had kids sizes which Sophia (our friendly server) told us was off menu and $4+ a bowl, which she charged us full price for anyways. ‍ You can customize your base (House, Tonkotsu, Veggie), your noodles (thin to thicc) and I asked for a more firmer al dente noodle, and your tare (Ship, Shoyu, and Miso). Honestly even though I ordered a different tare (miso) vs my kids (ship) and a firmer noodle, they were basically the same taste and texture. 2 outstanding things in their ramen are: PERFECT Shoyu ramen eggs and their chashu was clearly made ahead but they propane torch it before serving which gives it a great texture and flavor, but the cut was thin like Yamaguchi Ramen's, I prefer Silverlake's cut and flavor. The matcha boba was made fresh so the boba was really firm at first (not good) and then as it settled, it became delightfully chewy as it should be. The tea base was definitely Oolong and they added powder because it was pretty gritty. I liked it and would come for boba again. I'll probably stop by to try the sushi and rice bowls once it's warm again. I like that they had more variety and wish them luck, since they've only been open for 2 weeks. Come out and #supportlocal

Great food presentation. Food is delicious. Tonkatsu ramen is creamy and has good flavor. Boba is not too sweet nor bland, it's just right! Rice bowls are packed with flavor and are pretty filling. Overall, great place for a quick lunch. Great service too!

First time! Very tasty. The food was lovely, presentation was great. Great space, plenty of seating, cute booth areas and tables. Open lighting. Service was delayed- but you could tell it was oddly busy for a weekday! I was not bothered at all. Wait staff/host was super friendly and menu knowledgeable. Party and I had a few things, including the boba Thai! Super delicious. Ramen was amazing, salmon bowl was a delight. Small to the point menu, but filled with flavor. Would deft come back.

Noddles are very tasty. Make sure to ask about the different bases to pick the one you'll like the most. The fried pork dumplings were very good too. The tofu's was very soft and flavorful. The chicken was good too.

El Paso…read morewas one of our last stops on the way and we searched for Guy Fieri's visited restaurant list and found Kaemada. We had wonderful meals of BBQ, Southern, American and Mexican food but we started to miss our Ramen meals back home. This place was great. Ot had a youthful, edgy vibe with cozy and nice colorful decor. We ordered the Thicc Boi and Birria Ramen, and ordered sides of the Thai Peanut Cucumber Salad, and Pork buns. The salad was a nice appetizer. We wished we had this back home. The dressing tasted peanutty with black sesame seeds and a nice acid balance. Kaemada's Ramen has El Paso influences. The broth had full bodied flavor, the meat was cut thicker with grilled char! Please also try the Birrea Ramen! We eat Birria broth and tacos at home and this ramen bowl was a great marriage of the 2 dishes. The thick cut and grilled char feature was also included in the pork bun. It was so tasty and satisfying with the thick pork cut, which I often thought was too thin anyways in the original version. They took the best El Paso meat flavor and Japanese presentation influences to make Kaemada's dish unique and their own. Don't expect the delicate and refined dashi broth Japan has. Be open to the bold flavors of the pork and broth. Expect a Southwest and Japanese fusion of robust and evolved flavors. Personally, I like firm noodles so request it cooked this way. Izzy, our server was friendly and attentive. She made our meal there more pleasant. Don't forget to order the Yuzu Cheesecake, light and not so sweet with a strong presence of Yuzu. A great finish to our meal. 10/10.

The dishes were very well made, as if the owners were preparing them for themselves. We could tell a lot of care went into preparing them. I ordered Gom Bibim. The dish was visually pleasing and delicious. The flavor of the noodles was light. Often, the noodles in bibim kooksoo are drenched in sauce. These were prepared just right. The bedding of mixed greens were very fresh and paired nicely with the spicy noodles. My daughter ordered Gom Tang. The dish was good. The broth was a bit saltier than the traditional gom tang. She said that the egg was good. My sister-in-law ordered Gom Ramen. She said that it hit the spot. Delicious! We also ordered mandoo. They were served with a light kochojang sauce, and were hot and crispy. I highly recommend this restaurant. We are in town for the BTS concert. We regret that we will probably never get to eat here again.

Food was prepped quickly and I can't see any differences of spicy noodle between here and Korea. The egg inside of spicy noodle wasn't just regular boiled egg, it was soy sauce marinated egg with beef the same as well. The rolls here are much bigger in size than most places and it felt like it was harder to eat without it just falling apart. It was my coworkers first time trying sushi and sadly it didn't really impress him much. I also picked this place due to the reviews but it seems like the name has been changed and maybe the business owner as well because it's now called Sushi Gang. I would say my favorite thing was the Eel nigiri. The dragon roll didn't meet my expectations from other Dragon rolls I had before. The Golden California roll was better than the Dragon roll. The staff was nice but they recommended something else to try and honestly it was very good. I don't even remember what it was but it was like a rice ball. I can't say I would go back here but give it a try and see if it meets your expectations. They seem to short staffed and that could be what went wrong that day but not sure.

VERY fresh and tasty. The prices? I still cannot believe we ate so much delicious food for that amount of money. My wife wanted a Salmon Steak. They did not have the right sauce and therefore the dish was not in the menu. I asked if they could do a grilled salmon instead without the sauce. They did. My wife thinks it is probably the best salmon she had since we moved to El Paso. We are definitely going back often.
