    Egg Roll

Been coming here as a kid and it is still a top tier spot. I love that it's got your classic American diner food and get your asian inspired dishes. Always friendly and food is out quick. The burgers are what you expect from a diner, greasy smash burgers that hit the spot BUT one of those items on the menu is my go to. Their egg rolls. Not your ordinary egg roll, these are the size of chimichangas. Have your classic filling of carrots and cabbage but with ground beef added. These are NOT for the health conscious lol. Pour some sweet and sour sauce over it and it takes it to another level. I always get two and fries, don't you dare judge me...

How many burger joints do you know of also have a multi-cultured menu featuring things like chicken fried rice and sweet & sour pork, as well as an Asian cashier? (or maybe she was the owner? I dunno) Well, apparently this place has it all. Simultaneously, the decorum has a 50s diner style theme going on. This quaint little joint is one of those restaurants where you seat yourself. When I first walked in, I wasn't sure if I was supposed to wait to be greeted or sit down like I own the joint. Because the place was on and poppin'! At 11:45 in the morning, no less. So, I decided to try the Philly cheesesteak this go around because...as most of you know by now, I'm an avid cheesesteak lover. I swear when I die, they'll have to bury me with a cheesesteak resting on my corpse. Actually, I'm kidding. I totally plan to get cremated. But...you probably didn't need to know that. *ahem* Moving on.. This cheesesteak was different from most traditional ones. More specifically, the bread was different. Flatter...I guess. You can see from the picture it looks more like a burger bun with the ends cut off. Not that it detracted from the great taste at all. The steak was well seasoned and the white cheese they use blends everything together perfectly. The fries were okay, but slightly overcooked. The whole thing gets an 8 out of 10. Can we talk about their cups for a minute? They're ginormous! Seriously, the best way I can describe them are buckets. Yep. That's what I drank out of today: a giant bucket. Oh, yeah...the service was nearly lightning fast with a very cordial server. Considering the crowd, that server certainly managed the front of the house with near omnipresent resiliency. If the cheesesteak is but a prelude of what I can expect from the burgers, then I'm totally trying one on my next visit. Only other minor complaint I have is the entrance to their parking lot is...abrupt, for first time visitors. If you're not paying close attention, you might just drive right by it. There's usually plenty of cars in front, yeah. But that doesn't leave much room for last minute maneuvering when you first pull into the parking lot awkwardly like a lost tourist. Though I think it's a little strange for a burger place to also offer oriental plates, I guess that's just a feature to set them apart from the rest and maintain a unique identity. I'd say it worked. For the time being, I'm giving Frisco Burger Inn 4 savory cheesesteaks served on unorthodox toasty flat buns out of 5.

So after leaving the Texas Takeout, I had a weird craving for Friscos. I love this place , the Frisco sticks are rolled tacos kinda like Chico's and delish! I ordered me the 6 Frisco sticks and a burger combo. Frisco sticks did me in..no room for that burger.. the place is nostalgic, food is good and the wait is non existent...no better way to spend my Friday afternoon. I'll enjoy this burger with the beers I picked up at the Texas Takeout..

An El Paso staple. If you ask any normal person in El Paso, where's the best burger in town, they're either going to say Roscos or Friscos. Some people may even claim that Friscos stoke Roscos burger concept. Regardless of rumors and allegations, one can not deny that Friscos burgers are amazing. I ordered the double cheeseburger. Nice toasted big bun, smash burger style thin patties, double American cheese, LTOP and mustard. 9.0 out of 10 on my scale. Without hesitation, a top 3 burger in town.

I love love love coming to Frisco Burgers. You walk in and are automatically greeted and u feel welcomed. Usually I'll get a cheeseburger and fries but today I opted for the frisco sticks and I wasn't disappointed. Real cheese melted perfectly and the green chili so good. My kiddo got the cheeseburger and fries the fries were cold and a little too brown and the meat size is getting smaller and smaller each time we go. But those fried mushrooms?? Yum Yum Yum!

    So old school and awesome!

With mashed potatoes and veggie medley, and soup and iced tea for just $12.95! Well JACKPOT! I ordered and this soup came first it was a chickeny flavored tomato broth with tortilla strips and melty white cheese. The broth was WAAAAY to salty. But I liked the concept. It had no veggies or any meaning it. So I ate out the chips and cheese and I would have liked to enjoy that broth but it was so so salty I just could not. When my plate came it was a nice spiced grilled ground round Pattie covered in hot brown gravy with thin sliced onions and small thin sliced fresh mushrooms. Homemade real mashed potatoes, and veggies mix of corn, carrots, peas, and green beans. If it had a dinner roll, it would have been dinner at my house growing up any night of the week. It was so good, the veggies could have used some butter on them. The gravy was great on the meat and potatoes. Sorry I didn't get a pic of that plate, but I was so hungry I just dug in and by the time I thought of a pic, it was half way gone. The clock inside isn't winning any beauty contests. It's still same as it's always been. I think maybe I'd set all the clocks to the correct time or the correct time somewhere and make sure they all worked if possible or had good batteries. Be great if the coco clocks, if any, went off every hour. Bring some more character to the old place, and favorite of many. Come get dinner some after noon or late afternoon. It's a great deal... there were only 2-3 other tables when I got there and when I left no one was there . So you can definitely come get a good cup of Joe and some good food in the afternoon, it's not just for breakfast, which it IS FAMOUS FOR.

I kept it classic with waffles, bacon, and eggs--and it absolutely hit the mark. The waffles were light, fluffy, and perfectly golden, the bacon was cooked just right, and everything came out fresh and satisfying. Simple comfort food done right. But what really elevated the experience was the atmosphere. They had live musical entertainment by Louie, who was incredible. He played a mix of hits from yesterday and today, moving effortlessly between country & western, contemporary favorites, and traditional Spanish songs. His versatility created a warm, lively environment that both staff and customers clearly enjoyed--it added something special you don't find everywhere. Service was just as impressive. Our server, XAY, had a bright, welcoming smile and provided outstanding service from start to finish. They offered great suggestions on local favorites and specials, which made the experience feel personal rather than routine. The vibe overall is relaxed, inviting, and very "El Paso"--a place where you can sit, enjoy your meal, and stay a while. I went in for brunch, and one place that absolutely deserves a visit is The Junction Brunch House. The restaurant is set inside a literal house, which gives it a cozy, welcoming feel from the moment you walk in. The service is warm, attentive, and genuinely friendly. As for the food? Ay Dios mio! Outstanding. I ordered Big T's Texas Breakfast: two eggs any style, bacon, and pancakes or French toast. I chose scrambled eggs and pancakes. The presentation was impressive, looking more like something you'd expect at a high-end hotel restaurant. The eggs were folded neatly, omelet-style, into a triangle and cooked perfectly--flavorful and fluffy. The bacon was crispy yet juicy, just right. The pancakes were a four-stack, light and fluffy with a beautiful griddle finish. They came with butter mixed with brown sugar and cinnamon, and a side of and maple syrup, which took them to another level. Junction has locally made hot sauce on the table, and fair warning as both packed some serious heat and paired perfectly with the eggs. What really stood out was the attentive service. The staff checked in regularly, made sure I had everything I needed, and seemed to refill my coffee right on cue. While brunch alone makes it worth the trip, the menu offers much more than breakfast. I'm already looking forward to going back to try their lunch options. If you're in El Paso and craving a comfortable atmosphere with excellent food and service, this is a spot you shouldn't miss.
