We had a large party and they seated us in a private room near the front. We had great service from Liz. The food was served all at once no one was waiting for theirs. The food was good. I have the ascedero green chili burger. There was a mixup with the cooking temperature. But they graciously replaced it. Chili poblano soup was fantastic. I recommend everyone to try it not too spicy but very tasty. The drinks were spot on, and the wine that I had the sweet red was absolutely fabulous ! Everyone had a very good time and I can't wait to go back! Reservations are a good idea .

Service is always nice and friendly. Ambiance is peaceful and nice. Sports on the TV on a Sunday so it's perfect. This is the most consistent steak restaurants in El Paso IMO. Usually cooked perfectly. Great variety of drinks. Today I was a little disappointed. I paid for dehydrated grasslike asparagus. With the quality of this restaurant I'm really surprised they served and charged for the asparagus. It was like dry grass. I've never seen asparagus like that in the store let alone served at a quality restaurant. My steak was a little undercooked for half the steak. Their heat wasn't consistent. Half my steak was cooked perfect medium and the other half was rare. There was a lot of grizzle in this steak today. It was my only bad experience for food out of many visits. I still recommend but I was disappointed today. Service was great as always though.

Stopped in for dinner with a coworker on a work trip. The restaurant was pretty close to full, but we were seated right away. I'm not sure if our server was new or just in the weeds. I would've rated a four without the subpar service. My old fashioned was great. I ordered a ribeye and was pretty sure it wasn't when it hit the table. Our server seemed a little overwhelmed with what seemed like a very demanding six top seated behind us. My steak had a good flavor and temperature. When my bill came it was less than I expected. That's when I noticed I was charged for a sirloin. I was thinking my ribeye was pretty lean. Mystery solved. Very nice dining room and decor. Music wasn't too loud, and lights weren't too bright. Pretty sure this was my first time here. I would be willing to give it another shot.

If you're in El Paso, Texas, and someone suggests Cattleman's Steakhouse, save your time and money--go to West Texas Chophouse instead. We ordered the New York and top sirloin cuts, and both were absolutely delicious, cooked to perfection at medium rare. The atmosphere was warm, comfortable, and inviting. Our waitress, Jolene, was outstanding--her service was spot on and really elevated the experience. The only area I'd suggest for improvement is at the host stand. The three young ladies working the front weren't very welcoming, and their approach to customer service didn't quite match the otherwise excellent vibe of the restaurant. Overall, I highly recommend West Texas Chophouse if you're looking for a great steak and a great dining experience in El Paso

Enjoyed the restaurant before my flight. It's close to the airport. Beautiful inside, romantic. Nice stop on my way back to Florida.

Service- Friday night dinner wait was only 5 minutes. However, big group wait was about 30 minutes. Angel, server, very nice and prompt with drinks. Angel, server, must have been in training because he was slow in coming back with a requested such such pepper, more ranch etc. It was a busy place, But you gotta up your game on busy nights. Ambiance- I like the decor with the full size trees with lights and white leaves. Noise level way to LOUD! I really enjoyed the upbeat country music. Food- muscato by the glass is always sweet just like it (Paolona, Italy). House salad could have been better. It was a large size and only two 1/4 tomatoes. 12 oz rib-eye medium rare was out of this world. Moist, savory and tender. Baked potato was big and was ok.

Dinner here is good, not great. My 8 ounce Filet Mignon was slightly overcooked and looked silly next to the biggest loaded baked potato I've ever seen. The potato was undercooked and there were hardly any toppings. The bone marrow is very tasty, but sparse. The wine list is well curated domestic. Service was very good.

My wife came into town recently and I wanted to give her a walk home to Texas dinner and West Texas chophouse did not disappoint. From the great Customer service , after they noticed my wife did not really care for her ribeye so they offered to get her a new one cooked medium rare which made the world of a difference in the flavor.the prices and portion size of the meals the entire dinner was a great experience. I had the bone in 20 ounce ribeye with loaded baked potato while my wife had a 16 ounce ribeye and we both had a delicious Caesar salad as our appetizer. The complementary bread to kickoff the evening was really good as well. The restaurant was clean and not overcrowded and the price to food quality and amount ratio was spot on. We will definitely be back to try more of the appetizers as well as the cocktails. This place is really a Gem and I recommend you all to check it out when visiting El Paso.

For my first ever visit to El Paso, I arrived late on a Friday night. Starving but also craving a steak, I drove down the street after getting my rental car and picked a steakhouse that was close to the hotel. West Texas Chophouse was the winner that night. I walked in and was greeted by the manager and I told him I was just looking to grab a bite to eat but I didn't know if reservations were required. The restaurant was packed with people. He got me a small table near the kitchen and the rest is history. As I was walking to the table, I took note of how classy it was. I saw several couples here and it's definitely a place you could take a date. Since steak is my death row meal and I was in Texas, it was a no-brainer on what I was going to eat. I ended up with a dry-aged bone-in ribeye with sauteed mushrooms and a baked potato. First came the bread, which was fantastic. Round, warm rolls with a fluffy inside served with butter. I could have eaten a dozen of them but I had to be careful not to get too full. The steak arrived on a wooden cutting board with the mushrooms and baked potato. It was a nice presentation for sure. Everything tasted great and was exactly what I was looking for. The star of the show was obviously the steak. Dry-aging changes the flavor profile of beef due to reducing the moisture cotent. It's often described as "earthy" or "nutty" but I relate it more as a pungent-like taste, similar to that of bleu cheese. It was cooked to perfection and I ate everything. Even scraped the meat off the bone. I know there's a lot of steakhouses in El Paso and while I tried a lot of them during my week stay, West Texas Chophouse is definitely one of the better ones.

One of the best restaurants I've been to in El Paso. This place serves awesome food with a great setting inside. The host to servers to bartenders were amazing. The portions are amazing and the taste was on point. Highly recommend to try if ever in El Paso.

I'd been there once before, though not among the regular folk. Ten years ago, I sat in the private dining hall, watching the cooks tend to ribeyes over an open flame. Those steaks were laid on a grill set at a slant, so the grease dripped away instead of pooling beneath the meat. No shortcuts. No nonsense. Just fire, steel, and beef. This time, I pushed through the restaurant doors like a dusty traveler looking for redemption. Inside, a hungry soul can choose their cut, name their doneness, and pick their fixin's. Sure, there are other offerings on the menu--but I didn't ride all that way for chicken. I ordered the 24-ounce porterhouse they call the Cowgirl. For the truly brave, there's the Cowboy--a two-and-a-half-pound behemoth fit for a cattle drive champion. The steak arrives with a baked potato riding shotgun on the plate. Alongside come cowboy beans, pineapple coleslaw, and warm dinner rolls. And here's the kicker--they'll keep the sides coming if you've got the grit to ask for more. I fought my way through that Cowgirl like it was high noon. Tender, rich, and full of honest flavor--so good it didn't need a drop of sauce. I'll admit, the edges had a touch of toughness, like the desert itself. But that center cut? Smooth as a prairie sunset. Service was sharp and steady, the kind you hope for when you hitch your horse outside. But what truly sets Cattlemen's apart is its solitude. Out there, far from city noise, you're reminded of a quieter time--when towns were few, distances were long, and a good meal after a hard day's ride meant everything. If you're looking for a steakhouse that feels less like a restaurant and more like a scene from an old frontier tale, this is the place. Just bring your appetite--and maybe loosen your belt a notch before you saddle up.

It took forever for us to order our food. And our food didn't get to us until almost an entire hour after ordering. Ummm that was horrible. We were sitting for almost two hours before food got to us. Two of our orders of steaks were ordered as medium-rare, and our steaks were dry AF. I told the waitress that we wanted a new steak, and she brought back the steak while flashing a flashlight over it to defend her cook, saying it is medium-rare and to look at it again. Never have I ever experienced a flashlight being used over our food to prove a non-valid point. At this point, I was so freakin hungry that I did not want to argue, and so I ate the dry steak. Everyone around me kept saying the same thing I was thinking: the salad bar is the best part. And honestly, that's not something you want to overhear in a steakhouse. I ordered my prime rib medium rare. What I got was rare in the wrong way. No seasoning crust, no browning, just a floppy cut with a thick tendon and a lot of fat and gristle. One of the worst cuts I've ever been served. Even the au jus couldn't save it. Mashed potatoes and bread were fine but bland. My husband's burger was just okay. Prices were normal for a steakhouse, but the quality didn't match at all. I left feeling queasy and very disappointed, especially since I was hoping to add this place to our holiday rotation. The restaurant has a charming French vibe that makes it a pleasant place to sit down and enjoy a meal. I ordered a rosé, but the pour was surprisingly small. It honestly felt more like a tasting portion than a standard glass, which was a little disappointing. For food, I tried the fromage raclette. It was good, but I'm not sure it was worth the $29 price tag. I finished it because I was hungry, but it didn't really stand out or feel like something special. I don't mind paying higher prices when a dish is amazing, but San Antonio really has no business charging that much for something that's just okay. It's not California or New York, and the cost of living here isn't the same, so the value just didn't quite add up. Overall, great service and a nice atmosphere, but the value for what I ordered didn't completely match the price.

They did ask if we had a reservation - we didn't, but we lucked out. Isaac seated us and presented us to Alyssa. She got us our drinks and the kids waters. Now, I'd never say this place is kid friendly, but Alyssa was very kind to them. We ordered a couple of drinks and some appetizers to munch on before Winterfest. They make good drinks. I went with one of my faves, the cilantro and jalapenos margie, refreshing. Liz went with a guava margarita, sweet. The flatbreads were great. Not filling, and a good shareable. The kids split a a BLT. The calamari is also good. Next time I might think about the Peruvian salmon tiradito. It's a classy joint, it's on our go to list to impress folks, and it has never failed us on location, drinks or eats. It's a nice place to take that special someone. Recommend.

The restaurant's ambiance is striking, featuring Tulum/Riveria Maya-inspired decor that combines elements with modern aesthetics. The use of wood, metals, warm lighting, and overall dining room and outdoor terrace displays and creates an inviting dining experience. Service: The service is attentive and knowledgeable, with server who was eager to recommend several of the restaurant favorites. Not one dish we did not like-all amazing! Culinary Highlights: Mesquite Grilled Spanish octopus was Smokey yet savory. Cooked to perfection also served with Fingerling potatoes and salsa macha The bone-in ribeye (prime) cooked on a firewood grill was a true highlight of the menu, showcasing the restaurant's expertise in preparing a distinctively rich flavor entree. Cooked with beef tallow (no seed oils) chefs kiss Smoked beef short rib was so tender and had Oaxacan quesillo potato purée with tomatillo jam. Simply did not disappoint. Street style corn with chipotle aioli had us all going back for seconds. The sweetness of the corn balances with the smokey, spicy notes of the aioli. Craft Cocktails: Well balanced and wide selection of Tequilas to choose from. I can't say enough good things! Whether you're celebrating a special occasion or simply enjoying a night out with friends or family this restaurant is sure to impress. Our Group agreed that it was a meal and experience that will leave lasting impression. We will be back!!!!!

Service was a little slow at times, but our server was super friendly and helpful with recommendations, so it didn't take away too much from the experience. The bone marrow was AMAZING!! Easily one of the highlights of the night. We also ordered the Delmonico with bone marrow butter, which was cooked well and really flavorful. Drinks were great too and very well balanced. Overall, this place is a solid 4 stars, pushing 5. Great atmosphere, good drinks and some really standout dishes.

Walking in, there was a cool flower art installation hanging over the tables, which was a really unique touch and probably one of the more memorable parts of the space. That said, the overall vibe felt a little bland and didn't quite match the hype we were expecting. Food-wise, the experience was a bit mixed. We ordered a ribeye, but it unfortunately came out pretty cold. We let our server know and he did take it back so the kitchen could warm it up, which we appreciated. The table bread that came out was also on the dry side and not very impressive. The spicy margarita ended up being one of the better parts of the meal. It wasn't actually on the menu, but they made one for us and it was really good. We also ordered fries, which were solid, and the bone marrow (called "Mexican butter") was easily the highlight! It sauce that it came with! 10/10 It was rich, flavorful, and definitely the best thing we tried. ‼One quick heads-up for anyone visiting: there's a nail sticking out of the handrail going down the stairs to the bathroom, so just be careful grabbing the railing on the way down.‼ Overall, there were a couple good items, but the experience felt a little underwhelming compared to the expectations from the reviews. Maybe it was just an off night.
