Decided on Cheddar's for a family dinner. We had a party of 6. We were seated quickly. We got our drinks and were also given an order of croissants as a starter. Food is good as always. However this time I ordered delivery and was completely dissatisfied and disappointed. Ordered cheesecake and apple pie with ice cream as well as regular dinner items. For one thing, they need to take cold items off the delivery menu. I received both, aside from the pie, melted as they place the cold items on top of the hot meals. Not a bright idea. Either invest in cold bags or at la east separate them in hot and cold bags. To place them all in one bag was a stupid idea. read more

The queso dip was decent, but the rest of the food (buffalo shrimp, ribs and shrimp, and chicken fried steak) was cold (or barely warm as if it had sat at the pass too long). I didn't think it was overly busy, nor did I feel the wait times were very long, so the food came out in a timely manner. Flavor profiles were not there, but that aside, I don't feel that serving lukewarm food is okay. We will not be returning. read more

Awesome dining experience, walked in with a group of six on Valentine's Day. Seated right away, Kasey (sp?) got our drinks out, took our order and all our meals arrived in a reasonable amount of time. Even brought more gravy and a second plate for a shared meal. One of our group has a peculiar food allergy, so had to ask about meal prep. Kendra (supervisor) was at our table, answered our concerns and had kitchen make our shrimp less allergy offensive and made us feel like part of her family with her care. She is a fantastic people person, and as far as I'm concerned she is part of my family now...even walked out to say goodbye to my visiting parents. We have been eagerly waiting for Cheddars to open, and it was well worth the wait! We went on a Saturday evening around 6, it was an hour long wait. They text you when table is ready and you can view the wait list to see how far you're at. We went home and waited, because we live minutes away ...but lots of shops close by to peruse while waiting. Service was friendly, prompt, and attentive. Our waitress was phenomenal, refilled drinks without asking and came by often. Managers are walking around too, and were super nice! I believe the GM walked by too (based off his vibe) which was a great touch. The atmosphere is a bit cramped in the main dining area, but not terribly bad. I'm sure it's mostly to get people in. It's a beautiful restaurant with a large fish tank, seating outside to wait, as well as ample seating inside. Food was ten stars, without a doubt. The croissants are on the house and are DELICIOUS!! The spinach dip is definitely spinachy more than anything else, but was very good flavor. Salmon and chicken sandwich were *chefs kiss*. Next time I'll order dressing on side to the salad as it was a bit much, but I like light dressing. Definitely a new favorite! Best of luck, Cheddars! read more

First time at cheddar , I was greeted after waiting a few minutes, but got my table really fast! My server was Alex . I wanted the raspberry tea but they ran out so I had water with lemon. I order the chips and homemade queso, 8 ox bourbon glazed salmon with the loaded potato and southern green beans and new orlean pasta . The place was rather busy, has a good atmosphere, kind of reminds me of an Applebees but darker. There is background music and tons of parking. The queso was delicious but the salsa was disappointing, their chips are thin and crispy. If you join their club you get the chips and queso for free. It will be sent to your email and you have 14 days to redeem it I received a complementary butter biscuit, it warm , buttery , flaky and delicious. I wanted more . I was a bit disappointed in the new orlean pasta , it was rather dry. The loaded baked potato was plain no flavor. The salmon was amazing . The southern green beans was sweet. read more

Went to eat on a Saturday. We could not sit in main sitting area because they did not have enough servers. The sever came in, we finally sit in the main area. Our server was friendly, when I asked her if I could order appetizer-she said I could have ordered in their little machine where you can pay. I have trouble with those gadgets. read more

This is a new location on the Westside of town and was excited to check it out! I understand it just opened, however more training is needed for the wait staff and I think the GM should be more interested in making sure customers RED lights are attended too instead of just walking passed them. Food was very good, a huge mix-up on our order and issues with the #of sides that came with each plate. We had to ask for the menu to correct the issue....the wait staff took ownership, which was great! All in all it was an ok experience, just some grand opening concerns! This location is very new in the area, but food was incredible and affordable. Ordered the chicken strips family pack to go, came with 2 large sides. I picked the fries which were crunchy and hot and the coleslaw. Both were delicious. The portions were enough for a family of four and there was lots of food left over. The place is beautiful. I nearly froze to death in there three weeks ago. I heard others in the restaurant wondering why it was so cold. For bread lovers they don't serve bread with the meal. They do bring out crescent rolls with a white frosting that is yummy I had the pork chops. Not a fan of the glaze they use, I think they forgot that I didn't want any. (I asked if the pork chops come pre-glazed and was told no). I tasted my Mom's steak & chicken and it was delicious, my Sister ordered ribs and they were so good. The first time they forgot my rolls and the second I had to wait for service I almost left. It seems that after the opening there is a careless attitude now. Apart from that the food was very good, the croissants were given as a little appetizer, it tasted freshly baked and it came with sweet butter drizzled all over them. I ordered the Buttermilk Fried Chicken Sandwich, the food took a while as mentioned before, but it was well worth the wait. The chicken was juicy, the lettuce was fresh, although the bread was a bit dry everything else compensated. The French fries that came with my sandwich were crispy and savory. Over all it is a place to go if you wanna eat with the family or friends. It is a friendly environment with good decor and a nice atmosphere. Suggestion also order the sauce separate inorder to add to your own taste. I had a great experience at cheddars at 6460 N.Desert Blvd location for lunch. We were immediately seated and greeted by our server Lindsay. My wife had baby back ribs and for me the Dijon chicken & mushrooms. The food was out extremely fast. Everything was at the table very quickly, presented and prepared properly and tasted great. Lindsay the server was on top of every, refilled our drinks without asking, cleared dishes, this young lady was all over it. I highly recommend stop by and try the food. I went with my family to Cheddar's when they first opened. The food was good, the servers were attentive, the dining area was well laid out, and the prices were reasonable. I went back last night they had the same good service and environment but the food was TERRIBLE. I couldn't even eat it. Everything tasted like it had been drowned in salt, even the corn was SALTY. Somebody needs to explain to the cooks, customers can add salt if they feel like there is not enough but taking salt off cannot be done. The cheese bite appetizers were over cooked to the point that it was all breading with no cheese inside. Long story short I won't be going back. I don't mind spending my hard earned money at a restaurant but make sure the food your is edible. read more

How can you run out of baked potatoes on a Saturday?!! Well they did, and that was not the only issue we had. Wait time was not bad for a Saturday, 20 min, we were seated by the bar area, not noisy at all, which is good. Appetizer was good, ordered the trio. I ordered the Dijon chicken with a house salad and steamed broccoli. First of all, chicken was raw, broccoli was past over steamed, it was mushy, to the point it dissolved in my mouth. Rice was over cooked as well. The house salad, I had to ask for it as it was taking to long to come out. And it came out same time as our meal, the lettuce was mixed with wilted and brown lettuce. It's so difficult to start up a new establishment. Usually there are weeks and weeks that need to work out problems. Well, that's NOT the problem with this new establishment. From the moment we walked in until the time we left, the service was excellent. The hostesses were so kind and welcoming...even though they were extremely busy. We were told at least a 20 to 25 minute wait and we were sat within 10! Win # 1. The hostess that sat us was sincere and so courteous. Win #2. Our server was Harley and she was just great. Helped us navigate the menu and was just so much fun. Win #3. The food runner was Cynthia and she was the BEST! Kept checking to see if we needed anything. Win #4. In addition the food was so good. Served promptly and what was ordered and VERY AFFORDABLE. MAJOR WIN #5. Overall a really fun establishment and it will only get better with time.
