I've been a fan of Texas Roadhouse ever since my husband brought me to the Victorville location in California. I knew they had a location on Fort Bliss so it was the top of my list of places to go to when I was in town! My husband and I went on a weekday for dinner so they weren't too busy. We were seated right away and the waitress was pretty quick to come and get our drink order. I'll admit, I mostly come here because their bread rolls are AMAZING! They're so warm and soft. Paired with the cinnamon butter and I'm honestly in Heaven. If I could come here for the bread rolls alone I would! We ordered the rattlesnake bites for appetizer, the description of the flavors sounded delicious! Unfortunately I think we may have come on a bad day because the rattlesnake bites did not taste good. Someone was heavy on the salt when preparing them and we could definitely taste it! My husband got the grilled shrimp and said he enjoyed them so I'll give them that. The service was great too, our waitress was very friendly and attentive. I think next time I'll have to try something else on their menu. I'm not giving up on Texas Roadhouse just because of one bad visit! I just will probably stray away from their rattlesnake bites for now until I'm enticed to try them again. I know their pulled pork sandwich was good when I went to the Victorville location. I may try that next time! If you come here for anything... come for the delicious, fresh bread rolls! read more

Look it's hard to not like Texas Roadhouse, because dem rolls amirite? We stopped in while waiting for meds at the Pharmacy, and we were pleasantly surprised! It was five pm on a Friday night, so not yet busy - we were greeted immediately by super friendly staff. They even held onto our stroller for us. We were also seated immediately. Our server brought us bread basket after bread basket, we never had to ask. The steak was perfectly seasoned and cooked, the mango margarita is HUGE and well mixed/made, our food came out quick too. The Texas Roadhouse on fort bliss was an awful I ordered the filet mignon and it had the texture of a top sirloin and was pretty cut before getting to my table and the veggies were over slated the ambience was what you expect from Texas Roadhouse and the service was sub par. read more

I am in between a 3 and 4 Stars for Texas Roadhouse in Freedom Crossing Fort Bliss. First of all I love having the option of eating in a Steak House on post, you simply do not get that in any post. The staff is caring and I love their T Shirts. I enjoy the restaurant setting/ambiance. Their steak and sides meet expectations. I didn't love the drinks, and their salad is mediocre, but I guess thats my fault for asking for a salad in a steak house. Their drinks can improve, I got a margarita and a pina colada and both tasted "cheap" a combination of cheap liquor and too sugary. Next time I am there in advance I'll request better liquor regardless of cost. read more

Friendly staff, however they discontinued the prime rib.... Very disappointing.... Booths had a bar running up the center of the seat and were very uncomfortable. Such a solid restaurant! The ambiance is super cool and casual. Perfect for hangouts with friends! The service was also great and the food came out pretty fast! I love the bread it comes out with and the cinnamon butter. The prices are also so reasonable here and the portions are generousss. I've tried their ribs and filet mignon which def hit the spot. This one is conveniently located at one of the biggest Army Base in the country which is Fort Bliss, TX. The dim lights give it a cozy ambiance. The staff were really friendly, they greet you at the door with all smiles. And they are very attentive. Now let's talk about the most important thing food and drinks. The finger licking good BBQ Ribs with it's tasty sauce, so tender it was falling off the bone. We also ordered their Wednesday special the sirloin steak. I wanted it cooked medium well just with enough pink in the center and not so rare! But, I think that was a mistake because it was a bit on the dry side. Lesson learned. I have to say they had a great variety of sides though: sweet, mashed, and baked potatoes, green beans, corn and more!!! But we all know that their bread is to die for! So soft and warm then add that butter and you're in heaven!!! So, the drinks is where the moneys at. We decided to grab lunch at this location while we was shopping at the Fort Bliss Main Exchange. There was a little wait of 15 minutes and they'll text you when they're ready to seat you. Our waitress was very friendly and professional. We placed our order and our food came out very fast. The only issue we had was our appetizer came out after our main meals. But the manager came to our table and informed us that she didn't charge us for the appetizer. The restaurant was very clean and well maintained to the highest standards. I generally like TRH. It's a good place for decent steaks. You could spend more money for a better cut, or even the cheapest sirloin are pretty good, I think. This one is located in the Freedom Crossing on Ft. Bliss. Service is pretty good depending on who you get as a server. Atmosphere is decent just like any other TRH. This night I ordered pulled pork plate with two sides. Steamed broccoli was totally overdone. It was borderline mushy. Baked sweet potato was good. As for the pulled pork, I was very dissatisfied since it was chunky pieces (photo) instead of normal pulled pork. I spoke with the manager, and he said they always serve it like that. I've been to other locations, and I've never seen it before like that, so it was rather disappointing. Well, it tasted good anyway. Would it stop me from coming here? We checked in when we got there about 10-15 minutes later. 45 minutes later we hadn't heard anything so we checked in with the hostess again and were seated. Our waitress was great and very attentive unfortunately I do not remember her name. We put in our order and everything was great until we got our food. First my steak was over cooked. I ordered a porterhouse medium and it arrived well done, they were going to correct it, but then I found a big long hair in my baked potato which was enough for me to be done at that point. It surprises me that as big as Fort Bliss is, they don't have many restaurants for military families to sit down and eat at without it being extremely loud and crowded. I have been to Texas Roadhouse in Virginia, and it was much more pleasant to dine at. This location isn't my favorite but it does serve a lot of service men and their families, which I am very thankful for. The wait time on a Thursday was 45 min. They have a bar where you don't have wait as long, but on this day there was a wait for the bar also. Our waitress, Shana was very attentive, very knowledgeable and kind to be around. She did extremely well for having such a crowded area to run. The table behind me was full of children at one booth, (7 or 8 kids). I don't know how but she managed to serve them and us and a few others with a smile and not one bit of negativity. The food was perfectly cooked. The cactus onion appetizer was very crispy and so were the fried pickles. I had the grilled shrimp and 6 oz sirloin and it was cooked just how I like it.. Medium!! Their margaritas are a pretty big size, I think one is plenty. Overall a good experience other then the loudness and people running into you while your sitting down. read more

We had a late late lunch here today (2:45 pm) and it was fairly slow when we arrived. We were in the mood for some good steaks and you can never go wrong with Texas Roadhouse! The hostess was very friendly and she took us over to a table and gave us our yummy dinner rolls and our bucket of peanuts! Our server quickly came on over right after and took our drink orders. We went yesterday to enjoy dinner at Texas Roadhouse on Fort Bliss. We waited an entire hour for our house salad. We had a manger come over to our table we expressed the long wait to him. He played it off and said it is not the cook's fault, but our waiter and he should get fired. This statement alone is very unprofessional.
