My grandsons card was charged twice for dinner on Mother's Day. He tried to address with the General Manager, Melissa who was very rude and condensing! Do not go to this restaurant. okay story time because i'm so fucking mad my family and i are at Red Lobster yesterday for mother's day, i've been craving that for so long and we finally decided "what the hell?". the bill came out to $151.53, cool. that's a lot but we expected that. paid $20 in cash, the rest on card ($131.53) and even tipped the waitress $20. my phone gets notified the money was pulled, i go to check my card to see they also pulled another amount two minutes later of $16.05, i think that's weird but i was ready to ask about it. waitress comes to the table and asks me to follow her, shows me at the POS that my card only pulled $16.05. i show her my bank statements saying otherwise, she takes a picture of my phone, a manager comes and tells me the same bullshit and takes a picture of my phone for an even higher manager just for this man to show me a print out of the system where it only charged me $16.05. so Red Lobster what happened to that $131.53 you pulled, right? they don't have it and i still owe $115.48. HUH? they try swiping my shit three more times to pull that but i already told them they took my fucking money so why are we still trying? fast forward to today, i call the GM Melissa to address this with her and when i tell you this was the most unprofessional BITCH i have ever had the misfortune of speaking to. this bitch really asked me "if you knew you couldn't afford it, why would you eat here?" bitch first of all, fuck you for that and second, i could afford it but you people took way more than i owed, i also tipped the bitch who ran my card $20 before all this happened thinking it was gonna be a smooth ride so tell me again when i couldnt afford the fucking meal. i took as much as i knew i'd need for the fucking meal. as someone who has worked in management, this was the most disgusting manager i have ever spoken to. i've never had someone talk to me like something was my fault when i have proof that it's on their end. this bitch was defensive as fuck and not to mention, they have no security cameras to even check what happened but we were a "walk out ticket since we didn't plan to pay". anyway, i called corporate, i'm waiting to hear back. i'm sure as fuck not paying them shit if the money gets disputed. they can trespass me idc i'm never going back into that bitch. i've never Karen'd out in my life but holy fucking shit this is such a valid crash out because they really took everything i had on my card expecting even more from me while also claiming i'm just broke and didn't plan to pay them at all. bitch said "i'm still missing $131.53" okay girl me fuckin too bye edit: also the waitress didn't card us and when i brought that to the managers attention (not something id snitch on if i had a good experience) Melissa wants to be like "so are you threatening me now?" bitch what i'm saying to you is you don't have security cameras and you have a staff that's just handing out alcohol to anybody and maybe that's a good reason to get some cameras hmm? no cameras but you're dealing with people's money AND alcoholic beverages? crazy. read more

My sister and I have a tradition of going to endless shrimp every fall. So when she visited me in El Paso, we kept the spirit alive. We came on a weekday late afternoon. It was empty and we were seated right away. The customer service was excellent. Even the bar tender walked out drinks over to the table and expressed his excitement about making them. Our food came out quickly and the shrimp were of a decent size. I was not a fan of the flavors I picked and the tiny baked potato but my food was fresh. I was pressed for time and needed to catch a quick bit with a friend who was also pressed for time. We took a look at the parking lot at Red Lobster and saw available parking so we went in. We spoke to the server and let her know we had to eat and run, so she recommended the lunch specials. They have a great lunch menu and the prices are a relief compared to the ever climbing costs of food. Our food came out very quickly and it was good and tasty. How can you beat a giant piece of cod, battered and deep fried sitting on a buttered top brioche bun...with a side of your choice? My friend got a special that included a salad, rice and a lot of large coconut shrimp- bam and double bam! I will be back! We have so much here in El Paso we forget sometimes; my sister's family lives in "upstate New York" about an hour outside of the City. They have to drive 45 minutes to get to a Red Lobster! I had a few questions about the menu (I wanted 6 clusters of crab legs- 1 option said 2 clusters *at home assembly required; the 2nd option didn't say the amount of clusters but came with 2 sides). I wanted confirmation if "at home assembly required" meant I would have to cook them myself. When I called the first time, and was explaining my question "do I have to cook the at-home-assembly crabs" the to-go girl pretended that my phone was breaking up, said hello several times and then hung up on me. When I called back I pressed the "speak to a manager" option. My first question was if he could hear me and he said yes (I had full-service so I knew it was my question annoying the first person). I asked my questions to the manager and he said "I think that was pre-COVID so we don't offer that." When I explained to him that it was still an option to order I asked what would happen if I ordered that because I really don't want the sides. I have also ordered à la carte crab clusters at red lobster several times in person but he never gave me the option to. My family and I arrived at Red Lobster about 4 pm on 03/10/24. We were promptly greeted and seated. After about 15 minutes, no one had taken our order, not even for drinks, and we saw at least 4 servers helping other tables. At one point, a manager passed our table and my wife heard the woman speak into a microphone-type device around her neck, asking if a table had been visited by a server. We assumed it was our table but nothing happened. About 20 minutes into our visit a server, Alex, passed by. I stopped him and informed him of the situation. His response was that he had to see who was supposed to help our table. He left and we remained unattended. I would have expected him to say he was in it and to have, perhaps, taken our drink order or to have immediately found the server working our area. We never ordered, so I cannot comment on the food. The restaurant had people but was not much more than maybe 35-40% full. Finally, we decided to leave. I spoke with a young women manager but did not get her name. I explained what happened and my disappointment. By then, we had decided to go elsewhere. Gaining and keeping customers is vital to eateries. Surprisingly there was a wait to be seated, not upset about that... But 90 minutes before closing I didn't expect to get such a good, vibrant waiter that waited on us like it was 4PM. Went on a Sunday afternoon and they have lunch specials on the weekend! Most restaurants don't allow you to order the lunch specials on weekends, so that was great. I really held off on giving this Red Lobster a review because I've only been to this specific one once, but the service was so horrendous that I'll never be back (and that's saying something because normally one person's bad attitude won't deter me from giving a place another go). What the hell was up with my server though? And more importantly where the hell was her manager. I honestly don't remember my server's name, but I do believe she is what would happen if Regina George and Ellen Page's character from Hard Candy had a baby. First off, I was with a friend who happened to be a dude. Not my boyfriend, not a potential suitor, just a male human being who happens to be my friend and basically begged to eat at RL. She informed me that only the elderly ordered blue cheese dressing. I'm pretty sure that blue cheese dressing isn't age specific, but even if it is...I'm confident in my age and youth that I don't think anyone will be offering me the Early Bird Special any time soon. I get it chick...you have the hots for my friend. Take him. I am not trying to stand in your way. Ask him for his number. Heck, you can put your number on the receipt. No craps will be given. Eventually she left to get the drinks and place the order. She returned a few minutes later with the drinks. On a tray. She seemed to be balancing them fine, but as soon as they were within a foot of me, she dropped them. Now, I'm not saying she did this on purpose, but she could've offered some assistance cleaning it up instead of walking away casually back to the kitchen to grab another beer. Seriously I had to sop up the mess with what I could find around me until another waiter who saw the whole thing came over and helped me. At this point I would've normally asked to see the manager, but usually in the instance of a spectacle like this (many other tables and servers did notice) a manager would pop up on their own. Never came and I never asked because eventually I just stopped caring since I knew I would never be back. And I just want to point out to servers of the same sex as those they are serving, how big your tip is from me does not depend on your sex, it comes completely and totally down to your service. This is one of the better Red Lobster locations we've seen. Nicer decor. Very clean. Staff are quite friendly, helpful and it appears they enjoy working here. My husband had the salmon ginger soy brussels salad. Note when ordering this entree, the brussels will be crunchy. I regret my decision of going. It was awful. I ordered the lobster bisque. It did not taste like lobster at all and it felt like I was eating a cheese dip. It was NASTY. We also ordered the shrimp pasta which had very few shrimp and everything tasted like it was soaked in butter with nothing tasty and no spices. We ordered the mussels and the waiter forgot to bring them. After notifying the waiter, he brought the mussels COLD. No joke. They were cold cold cold!! All the food seemed very bad quality. My wife and I decided on Red Lobster for an afternoon lunch after seeing the commercial for lobster covered everything. The interior setting looks like a sea side restaurant like those found in places like Pismo Beach California. Very appropriate for a sea food restaurant. I tried the stuffed Talapia. It was a bit rich (sweet) for my taste and the fish was very watery and had little flavor. The waitress noticed the lack of satisfaction on my face and my "it is okay" after she asked how I liked my fish. As a complete surprise to me, the manager came by and asked how they could make it up to me. The staff was very understanding and honestly concerned that I was not satisfied with my order. Very impressed with their customer service. We tried the chocolate cake and it was delicious. Very large portion size, served warm, ala mode. My other problem is my wife is an excellent cook, so I am spoiled with quality food. Going out to eat is hit and miss with meeting my expectations. It was excellent as was the cup of clam chowder that I started with. Service was quick,attentive and very polite. Went here recently for my birthday. And as always, they are very caring, and always there to check on you. My favorite thing is the Admiral's Feast. I'd completely recommend it for anyone looking for a little bit of everything they have to offer. Unless you'd rather go for lobster itself. It's very quiet and peaceful in this place, and it feels like I'm back on the east coast. If you sit near the back towards the bathrooms, there's an amazing waiter back there.
