Quesadilla barbacoa
Diane M.

Ordering online was such a headache. Only 1 out of the 4 of us was able to and she admitted that she tried 4 times before it finally accepted her order. The rest of us ended up ordering by phone. I had barbacoa quesadilla as pictured and agua de limon and it was 19$. Small quesadilla for that price. They were so greasy and had chunks of grease. I felt like my mouth was coated in mantica. Yuck. Baked potato had absolutely nothing. Basically potato tossed in the microwave. Cheese enchiladas were way too spicy and the cheese looked so unappealing. Caldo de pollo was great. Tacos de pastor were great. Avacado was 7$, which i was shocked by until i saw the size of the container. I also bought small package of cookies and some nuts and it was 7.50. Pricey. Stand had no prices so i felt like she just made up the price. I would not come back but if i had to, i definitely wouldn't order anything barbacoa.

Comida corrida

I went for comida corrida and surprisingly everything was not good the caldo with not peeled vegetables, I asked for chile relleno and didn't like it! Only liked the rice!!! And for that Price? The interior looks not so good, not coming back for sure

Amazing food! So many free and yummy salsas. It also such a cozy family ambiance and I love the colors everywhere. Service was good and you could see the food being made right in front of you! Tacos were amazing! Chille relleno was okay.

Stopped in on a Sunday morning for to go and was pleasantly surprised in how quick we got our breakfast and how tasty it was! The guy working the front was super helpful since I do not speak any Spanish, and the menu is mostly in Spanish and I can barely say "gracias" so that was so nice. The chorizo and egg tacos were phenomenal, as were the beans and salsa. We will definitely be back!

Tiny tacos

I've wanted to try Tacos Chinampa since I moved here and I saw that they had a Taco Tuesday deal 2 for 1 Al Pastor tacos. The plate of 8 tacos, a baked potato, and condiments came out to be $8, so about $1 a taco. Man these things are tiny! Are they made for chimpanzee hands? It's delicious but it's definitely on the pricier side for such a small taco. The meat was kinda bland and fatty but the sauces made it taste better. I'm glad I tried it out, not sure if I'll come back for tacos at the regular price. But if I do come back, it's pretty easy to order curbside. You honk and the attendant comes out and takes your order, payment and delivers the order. You can also order ahead. Don't forget to tip!

My wife, I and our friends stopped by for breakfast at 10am. The place was clean, and several waiters were very attentive, courteous and frequently came by the table to 'freshen up' our delicious coffee which had a very savory taste and aroma. All of the dishes were very delicious and plentiful. The menudo had a very rich taste- it was delicious.

My chicken tacos were okay, my friend got the shrimp soup and it made her sick. Service was good.

Had multiple thousand Google reviews and they were all close to five stars. So I knew I had to check it out. It was super close to my hotel, so I popped in the car and found it without trouble. Trouble. Again, there is pretty limited parking so it's kind of hit and miss whether you'll find a spot or not. Fortunately, I did. When you walk up to the place, the building itself is pretty nondescript. They have a nice selection of outside seating, and your window to order is outside. Very nice lady at the counter gave me helpful suggestions and so I ordered three tacos and an amazing lime and cucumber fresca. Went in and sat down inside and was pleasantly surprised by the interior. It definitely had more of an upscale bar vibe to it than a Taco shop. The waiter that brought out my tacos told me that it turns into more of a nightclub after hours. I may have to go check that out. The tacos themselves were absolutely off the chain! The tortillas were blue corn and everything on it tasted so fresh and so wonderful. The carnitas was fantastic, the brisket Taco was to die for and the blackened shrimp Taco was one of the best I've ever had. Had. The flavors were so balanced and on point, it was one of the most satisfying taco experiences I have had!! I will probably hit this place up a couple more times before I leave El Paso. If you are in El Paso, you probably already know about this place. But I'm telling you what you cannot go wrong for tacos and that lime/ cucumber fresca! Bottom line? It's about 10 hours drive from Las Vegas to El Paso. And this Taco shop will give me a great reason to do a road trip anytime. Do yourself a favor and go check this place out!

Every visit has been a great experience with flavorful food, refreshing drinks, and a vibe that makes you want to stay awhile. The tacos are simply AMAZING and you can truly taste the quality in every bite. Definitely one of El Paso's must-visit taco spots!

I bumped it up to four stars for the super friendly service and the excellent aguas frescas. We got there late, about an hour before closing and they were literally trying to get rid of the aguas for free. I guess they have to dump it if they don't use it all. It was close to our hotel so we gave it a try. Portion sizes are good. The taco platter comes with six tacos! I had the flautas Chinampa which came with four beef flautas, beans, rice, and salad. I forgot, the taco platter even came with a baked potato. Prices were excellent. We had gone to McDonald's in the morning and spent more. They also cave us frijoles charros for free. Not sure if this was standard or if they were also trying to get rid of it. I would return for the service and the convenience, but if you're looking for life changing Mexican cuisine, it's not here. What you get is a good amount of decent food at a good price served by great people.

I only had one day but when i come back in town , I would eat here again.

As I've explained to many of the locals there's a huge difference between New Mexico and Mexican food. I figured while I was in town visiting family for the holidays I'd check it out. Walking in I was surprised to see a full salsa bar that you can help yourself to a wide variety of salsas to choose from. We ordered a quesadilla, and some tacos. I started with the quesadilla. Boy do I love a good quesadilla! It was a love at first bite! The cheese was just oh so right. It was heaven between two tortillas. I quickly moved in on the tacos. I added some of the cilantro, green salsa, lime, and onions. The salsa was a little spicy but I savored every bite! It was a quite a delight! I gotta hand it to these guys, they make some great food! I'll definitely be back the next time I'm in town!

Beans and rice on the side are optional / modest extra charge - they are usually very good and worth adding if you're hungry enough. My favorite sauce is the Chipotle. It's got heat as it's also creamy...I would call it medium (I like spicy food.) If you're getting them to go, you might want the sauce and toppings on the side. They usually ask about that, but occasionally they might forget. Service is usually friendly and efficient even when they are busy. Your food is made to order, so it's fast but not instantaneous. Allow 5-10 minutes for pickup most of the time. The dining room is medium-sized. I would say it's a place to eat and go, not stay and linger.

We ordered the flautas with chipotle sauce and the chilaquiles with half red and half green sauce. The chilaquiles were absolutely amazing. We added a runny egg since we couldn't do chicken, and it gave the dish extra flavor and a good boost of protein. The flautas (which I'd honestly describe more as taquitos dorados) were crunchy and tasty. We liked the chipotle sauce that came with them, but we actually loved dipping them into the chilaquile sauce even more. Overall, it was a great spot to grab breakfast before hitting the road again for many more hours. Highly recommend!
