Amazing tacos!!! They have an exceptional assortment of Tequila, and the service is always on point!

So to start off I've been to this place a few times It just never really checked in. So now I'm going to give you the skinny. I'm pretty sure a lot of other people have already told you about displays but I'm going to tell you my version of it. So you need tacos? You crave tacos? You must have some tacos? Well this place right here is your fix. You will definitely not be disappointed. After a few visits, I can truly say that this place is my go-to for my taco fix. The selection of tacos is pretty dang reasonable and the prices are not bad either. To add on to this the selection of margaritas are definitely amazing. Going to have to tell you that my favorite is the jalapeno margarita. Man oh man do I love the jalapeno margarita it's a matter of fact my mouth is watering right now I just thinking about one. So anyway don't take my word for it I promise you if you go here you won't be disappointed in the selection of food selection of drinks and the atmosphere is really dang good so just go out and try it out for yourself. read more

Tequila's Town 1611 Habersham St Savannah, GA 31401 May 19, 2021 Wednesday - 4:45 for dinner (we missed lunch) 5 Adults (weird putting my daughter down as an adult.) Atmosphere - 4 stars Food - 5 stars Service - 4 stars Background - Playing tourist today and spending time in the older part of Savannah.  Found this place via Yelp. (Strange how that works). Atmosphere -  If the west side of the street was the ocean, I could have been in Mexico.  The palm trees did help to transport me to Mexico, listening to birds singing.  When I went to use the restroom the floor inside was slippery, I felt like I was on ice. Food Drink - I do like a Mexican beer for my Mexican food.  A can of Tecate with a slice of lime on top.  The Pacifico I ordered was not available. Appetizer - Free chips and salsa, and everyone at the table received their own salsa cup. Meal - It is always Taco Tuesday and I had three for my meal.  With 18 tacos to choose from you should find something you like.  Then you can choose been flour or corn tortilla, I had flour.  The Al Pastor was not available and our waitress was able to tell me that immediate because of the tablet she was using to create the order.  Barbacoa, Carnitas, and Picadillo tacos were ordered.  Thanks for such great tacos. Service - Our first waitress was replaced with another after the drinks were delivered, which makes sense since we where there before 5 PM.  Both of them were great.  They used food runners for the meal deliver.  The only ding was missing items that I tried to order.  Not certain if the issue was COVID related or poor planning Future - Yes, I want to try their vegetarian selection of tacos. read more

Went here for lunch on a weekday. I love that they have vegetarian taco options! Everything we ordered was great. The service was fast and parking was a breeze. It looked like it would be a really fun spot on a warm night or if you want to watch a game. There is a really nice size bar with TV's. We will have to return for the evening ambience and more yummy tacos! read more

The tacos were simple yet delicious, better than other taco joints in the area. However, they're a bit pricey at $4.50 a taco. The complimentary chips and salsa were a welcome treat, reminding me of the local Mexican restaurants in my hometown. The margarita was a bit cheaper than from other restaurants, but rightfully so as it was not great. Overall, a good and more traditional Mexican/Tex-Mex place with great food and ok drinks. read more

Prices are good for the quality of food you're getting. When you sit down you automatically get chips and salsa. And you each get your own personal cup of salsa which is great! One taco is $4 and there's a decent amount of stuff on it. I got the carnita taco which was my favorite. The meat was very tender and the flavors were great. I also got the chorizo taco which was flavorful, but spicy for me. Very meaty too. We also got queso which was very smooth and cheesy! I also got the horchata and it was iced. I liked the flavor a lot and they give you a huge cup of it. I would definitely come back here again. read more

This place is sooo good - not sure why it only has 4 stars! The grilled fish street tacos are incredible. The al pastor taco was good as well with lots of flavor. I enjoyed the fish taco so much I ordered another one. Chips and salsa were solid as well. Fun atmosphere with indoor and outdoor seating. The service was a bit slow but it was packed. read more

Tacos Tequila - Fried Avocado - ate all but one! - Mexican Near Me - Savannah, Georgia

I went to this place on a Friday evening and actually had a great time as I was there. Service was very spotty and we had to keep stop other servers to get refills or make a ew drink orders. She was just. It attentive at all. Then I ordered two tacos as takeout so I have for lunch the next day and I asked if they please could keep the condiments off so I can heat it up and top it myself at lunch the next day. She said she understood and I didn't see the need to open up and inspect it as I was leaving. And even when I got home I didn't open to inspect again. The next day I open it and it's charcoal burnt tuna and the pork belly taco has all toppings on it. Please see picture. So I decided to call and let the management know. I spoke to a lady who claimed her name was Mary and she said that there was no manager on duty at the time I called. 1.10 pm on a Saturday and no manager? She then preceded to tell me that now it has been 12 hours and why did I not open and check and there is nothing they can do and will not take responsibility for it. So let me ask here and please anyone reading this, if you think I am wrong let me know why? How is something burnt 12 hours before suddenly no longer there responsibility if they burnt it to begin with? The point here is you messed up then man up to it! So in that aspect alone I am giving them a one star. If they are quick to resort to dishonesty and show. I respect to a customer then I don't think they deserve a good rating. A experience is not only in food quality it the service as well and that is lacking immensely at this establishments. From the servers to hosted to management. So sad and sorry for them because they will not be around for long if they keep that up. I wish them good luck. read more

I've been to the other location many times but this time my friends and I decided to try this location. We walked in around 4:30 pm and it wasn't busy. There were 6 of us and the hostess immediately had a nasty look on her face as if she was mad we came. I've worked at a restaurant so I understand big parties can be tedious but as I said it wasn't busy. They also didn't seem to like that we wanted to sit outside. The outside area was covered and it wasn't hot out due to the rain. Our waitress also didn't have a great attitude and everyone in my group commented to each other about it. The food was great and the people that brought it out to us (not our waitress) also seemed really friendly. I loved my fish and tuna tacos but I wasn't a big fan of the oyster tacos. That's not on them though, I'm not a fan of oysters and was just trying to give them a try in a different style. My friends seemed to enjoy their food. My vegan friend got the vegan chorizo tacos but those weren't very good. I tried a bite of hers and it was very bland and tasted like cinnamon. Their other tacos are great though. This place is more of a taco spot than Mexican entrees. If you're looking for a varied menu I'd go to the other location but if you want tacos this is the place. They have a large (bigger than the other locations) selection of tacos to choose from! read more

Amazing food!! We are visiting Savannah for the first time and stopped in here for dinner. Great patio, great service and the food was out of this world. The chips and salsa they give are fresh and tasty. We started with the tacos dorados con papa which were crispy, hot and flavorful. What really made the whole meal was my entree. I lived in phoenix for 20 years and have visited Mexico so i like to think i know Mexican food well. The quesa-birria was mind blowingly good! We ate just a couple hours ago and im already craving this dish again. The slow cooked beef was so tender and bursting with flavor. The corn tortillas were soft fried so still kinda soft but with a little crunch and then the consume for dipping sets it over the top. Seriously one of the best dishes ive had all year! Would absolutely recommend this place. My partner had the California burrito and loved it. We dont drink but the cocktail menu also looked impressive. read more

I was pretty disappointed with the Tacos Tequila. I am also sad that I have to write this review. So let's try the sandwich method. They have parking and and are in a convenient location! I wanted to sit outside, but there was an infestation of flies outside. Everyone was swatting. Even the servers. So, I choose to move indoors. There were less flies inside, but then I kept getting bit by mosquitos. Clearly this is a problem. Everyone inside was swatting too. They provide free chips and salsa which you can't go wrong there. Servers are pleasant. They were able to suggest menu options. One of them which i ordered. I ended up with 3 street tacos (carnitas, fried fish, and pork belly). The food came out promptly, but were just not that good. Fried fish taco seemingly had all the right ingredients, but absolutely no flavor. Pork belly was burnt at the bottom. Carnitas was okay, but I had better. Definitely questioning some of these other reviews with higher ratings. Maybe I came on an off day, but I have no intentions on going back. Was here on business and decided to try this establishment via Uber eats. (so take in mind that this experience was based on delivery and not dining in the restaurant) I ordered a chicken and shrimp quesadilla, a side of fries, an order of churros and a drink. I figured it was a basic order so there should be no room for error. I was wrong! The quesadilla was soggy and bearly had any cheese on it. The chicken and shrimp just fell out as I tried to pick it up. Also the chicken tasted bland and unseasoned. Probably the worst quesadilla I ever had. read more

So disappointed in the food from here! In one word, it was all BLAND! The steak tacos had absolutely no flavor and the pork belly was really tough. The fish taco was the best of the street tacos but it wasn't great. The queso was ok and so were the churros. I would never order from here again. Pack your hot sauce if you do! read more

One of our favorite Mexican restaurants here in Savannah. This was our first time visiting the location on Habersham street and I think it's my favorite! The outdoor patio is a game changer. We went on Friday night around 730-8 and had about a 15 minute wait but we went inside to the bar and grabbed a margarita. Once we sat down we ordered queso and then our tacos. I ordered two shrimp tacos on corn and my husband ordered two shrimp tacos and a fried fish on corn. We also ordered rice and beans as a side. Personally the shrimp tacos are stinking delicious but my husband said the fried fish blew the shrimp tacos out of the water. He said he should have just ordered the fish. We then finished our meal with churros. They had like strawberry jam in the middle. They were very sweet. We love this place and cannot wait to bring our friends and family here! read more

Tables were all dirty but we were sat at them anyway. Nopales were cold and when I said I didn't want to eat them that way, I was apologized to but then the server came back as though she had been told to inform me that "thats the way they eat them in Mexico". Every country has its foods like that. I like my nopales grilled, how my friend from Hidalgo made them when she hand picked, prepared, and grilled them in San Luis Potosí. I equate it to serving foreigners Top Ramen in America and expecting them to like it. It was just insulting. Generally low quality food and service. Dry tacos. Dry meat. Delicious tacos and very vegetarian friendly! We started with the tacos dorados con papa which was something new but easily could've passed on it. Try one of their other amazing appetizers instead. At $4 a taco it was easy to try all 5 taco options and we rank them as follows: 1. Rajas - poblano peppers mixed with a creamy chipotle salsa made this one our absolute favorite 2. Coliflor - crispy cauliflower filling and fresh lettuce made this one a unique favorite 3. Mushroom and calabacita - this felt like a classic taco, full of veggies and delicious 4. Nopal - this one was different as it was a cactus taco, what we didn't expect was that it was a cold filling. Definitely still worth trying if you want something different, but it wasn't game-changing 5. Chorizo vegano - I am a fake meat lover for the food versitality it offers, I was just let down by this taco as it only had onions as the other topping. One of my favorite neighborhood spots to eat. The chips and salsa can't be beat. The drink specials are great. I haven't all the new tequila and mezcal selections but everything I have tried is great! I had a steak taco and a shrimp taco, they were both very good. Lots of meat inside of the flour tortillas. Thumbs down on the side of rice that I ordered, it was extremely soggy, grains sticking together, fat pieces of rice... ick! I didn't bother to taste it. It may be good but the texture of the rice is awful. I think if they can see their product looking like that, they should refuse to serve it to their customers. Just remake it or offer a different side dish. I also ordered chorizo dip, it was weird because it was extremely soupy/watery/oily liquid floating on top. I expected a smooth white cheesy, creamy type dip with bits of chorizo in it... It was made like I'm supposed to sip it. Nice flavor though just wish it was prepared better. read more

This place was amazing. If you want a quick meal, cone here. We ordered appetizers and we swear, it was under 2 minutes and they were served to us. Same with the 2 tacos my better half ordered. They were out before 2 minutes from ordering! And the food was delicious! Highly recommend, especially if you like Tequila! So many choices! read more
