This led to several servers having to check and communicate with the kitchen, which felt unnecessary and just made the wait longer -- I was simply hungry and didn't want the extra back-and-forth. Eventually, our server explained that milanesa de res is only available in tortas, but then added they were actually out of beef anyway. I accepted that and asked for a side of rice instead. About 10 minutes later, she returned saying the cook had decided they would go ahead and make the milanesa de res after all. At this point, I was frustrated -- why say they didn't have it, then later say they could make it? It really felt like the kitchen was making up rules as they went, which is not fair to the customers or to the servers. The only positive part of this visit was our waitress. She was kind, patient, and clearly just trying to do her job, but the disorganization and inconsistency from the kitchen left a very bad impression.
