Stopped in and ordered a carne asada street taco and an asada vampiro. The asada vampiro was the clear standout. The crispy shell with melted cheese took the same asada and elevated it, more texture, more flavor, and just more fun to eat. If I came back, this is what I'd order again without hesitation. The street taco was decent. The meat had a nice smoky flavor, but it didn't quite pop my cork. Some of that is personal preference -- I'm not a huge street-taco guy -- and some of it felt like it could've been a touch fresher off the grill. Not bad, just not a knockout. The restaurant had a great smoky aroma, and the salsa was solid. I'm usually a salsa-bar fan, but even with the small containers, the flavors were good and complemented the food well. Now, here's where they earned the bump: the service was excellent. Very friendly, welcoming, and genuinely attentive, that kind of service matters and it shows. Also, small but funny detail: the Pepsi chairs instantly reminded me of the classic "No Coke, Pepsi" SNL skit....had to chuckle, but I think I was flying solo on with this joke. Food-wise, this was a 3.5 star experience, but the great service adds the extra half star.

Great little taco place next to Wilson High School. Everything is good here. Parking is limited and most of the seating is outdoors. Usually get the carne asada quesadilla. The tacos are great here and the people are nice. Happy Yelping!

tacomasa catered @ a schools multicultural event and offered asada, pollo and al pastor tacos along with burrito options. The flavors were bold and fresh but i feel like i need to try more. The menu was basic but sufficient for this that type of event. However, what i did try has me craving for more. If you love guacamole, their sauce hands down the creamiest. So, if you are in the area of any of their locations, i would say try them out.

I like this spot! Super friendly and welcoming, our pup was greeted with a little treat the moment we walked in, and we were offered samples of any of the meats since it was our first time. We tried the asada steak, pollo asado chicken, and tripa tripe tacos. The meats and tortillas were both delicious. The tripe is fried rather than a menudo style, which is what I was expecting, but the different texture worked well. The salsa is also "not too spicy" according to their staff, but to me it was definitely a medium, so beware if your spice tolerance is low like mine! Patio is clean and inviting as well, a really nice place for lunch or an early dinner to catch the sunset.

Good food, good value. I've been driving past for years and finally made my first trip to Tacomasa. Staff were friendly and answered my questions about their menu. I ordered a lengua taco and a nopal (cactus) mulita. Both were greatm but that nopal will definitely have me coming back again and again! They bring your food to your table, so you can order at the counter, grab a seat, and not worry about listening for them to call your name or order number.

Went on a Saturday around 6 and it was moderately busy but the food came out in around 10 minutes! I got one nopal taco and one nopal mulita. Even though I know they just made it, the dishes didn't seem super fresh or warm. With the mulita, I felt the cheese could've been more melted. The flavors all felt bit dull to me too. Nothing especially stand out or flavorful. I don't know if this is because they just didn't give enough of anything or their flavors just aren't bold. Nopal was cooked better compared to other places and guac was good.

Go ahead and get the mulita or quesa taco. Definitely can't go wrong with either. Tacos were good too, they put guac and it really completes it. Not sure if they had other salsas but one of the ones they give you are very flavorful. Neither were really spicy. Also couldn't leave without refilling that bomb horchata! They have outdoor seating with umbrellas so you can get a nice breeze without burning up. Parking is a bit tight. Place overall seems clean and well kept. The service was good and the food came out very quickly. Will definitely be back here when I'm on a lunch break and need something quick!

Popped in for a quick lunch today. Have never been to this chain but my chicken quesadillas while fresh seemed on the light side for the price. I know food prices are going up but maybe throw in some free chips! Outside patio which is nice. Inside dining limited to windowsill seats which is good for singles but so so for larger parties. First time here! Recommended by coworker, and it was a great choice for lunch. It's 4p and I'm still stuffed and sleepy at this point . It was 4 of us, but this review is about my experience. Frank greeted us and asked was it our first time there. It was and he explained everything including providing a taste test jicama flavored meat. It wasn't my favorite as it was bitter to me. I ordered a chicken burrito with all the yummies in it, rice, beans, guacamole, chunks of chicken, cheese and salsa on the side. I also ordered a Jamaica drink. My total was $17. We sat outside on their spacious patio. It took about 5-7 mins for my burrito to be served. I bit right in and then remembered to take a pic! This burrito was filling and delicious. The chicken was seasoned well. Customer service was top tier! As we were finishing out lunch, Frank came to check on us and asked if we needed anything and to tell us we could get beverage refills. We did not because we were stuffed!! I will be back!! Oh they have parking in the back of the restaurant!! And a parking space for drive-up pick up.

As I walked in I was offered a sample of their meat. I'm glad I tried their Carne Asada since I typically don't order Carne asada tacos but their meat was flavorful. They are quick, efficient, friendly and kind! I tried the Jamaica tacos and the quesadilla! I personally don't like the texture of meat so for people who do love meat and are trying to go vegetarian then the Jamaica tacos are for you! The quesadilla was my favorite! It's a nice spot, quick and clean! Parking is a bit tricky if you go during lunch time 12-1:30pm but after that its pretty easy to park. The one thing I would want is to have chicken tacos please! I've gotta say that since I left my last 5 star review , I was super disappointed last time I went: The food is still good, but the customer service leaves a lot to be desired. Its really a bummer because I've noticed that , In the area, when places start to become popular, the service really tanks. Which was my experience here. We've been here several times and this last time was such a disappointment. The girl at the counter had the worst attitude, I wish I got her name. When my husband asked her " what's the difference between the creamy guacamole and the regular guacamole?" She said " one's creamy. Ones regular ". She was rude AF. I had to return several meals bc they did not come as we ordered and they had to re- order them. She never acknowledged or said sorry for the entire wrong order. Her face was so deadpan the entire time. We had to ask for a 'couple forks' for our family Of five , and then she gave us one !!! Obviously we had to then ask for more. Anyway the food is good, but the service sucked. Kinda ruined the place for me & we've taken tons of friends here when they first opened. Not sure bout going back .... I'm so glad to have found this place!! Starting with the service and the food, all amazing! Melanie was the cashier and I was shocked she offered a sample for my little one to try their adobada, my little one loved it so we ordered the burrito for her, the rest of the family order tacos and quesadillas, tortillas are freshly made so they taste great. Whoever thought of this concept did THAT! Traditional food with history on the walls and most definitely in the food. The atmosphere is *immaculate* . Lively Mexican music welcoming you in along w/ the smell of fresh taco meat being prepared. It definitely takes you back in time while inviting you in. ( they even added the detail of having bags of grain for decorum and it gives the restaurant that authentic feel) - The food is gooood! - Cleanliness of the restaurant is top tier - The workers seem happy and on top of things! -Great customer service, they welcome you upon entering as well. - Salsa is just hot enough- and taste homemade - Meat- seasoned to thee gods! - Good portions - Prices are as to be expected- in these Covid time + California Other than that ALL good things! 10/10 recommend definitely will be back to try more! Taco masa is officially my favorite taco spot in Long Beach and please let me tell you why. It came highly recommended from some friend that knows tacos so I was eager to try. BEST TACOS EVER!!! So great that I had Taco Masa cater my birthday this weekend of around 50 people. I'll start with the customer service. Angel (the manager) was just that. An angel! Ordering through him was easy, clear, friendly and reliable. He called me throughout the day to check on the food and to see if anything else was needed. I can not say enough about how easy and friendly the whole process was. The food was delicious. I ordered a party platter of asada and a party platter of adobada tacos accompanied by all the colorful and tasty salsas and sauces. Delicious! Such a hit at the party! Highly recommend! It's a very small place with just a couple of tables. We ended up getting one but it does seem more like a take-out restaurant.

Mas Taco Masa Por Favor These new sterile mex places popping up might be a good thing. I mean, Chipotle, etc., started it and it feels more like a cafeteria. Went twice. Done Well, my Tuesdays in the area became pretty cool thanks to finding Taco Masa. They have two more spots as well. You walk in and bam--that smell of crossing the border at O'dark 30, with the boards and beer in the 70s and 80s when Mex was still Mex. But I digress. That mesquite smell-- I was under the impression open fires in places weren't allowed. After looking around, I saw the beloved stack of mesquite and that deep bed of coals. I knew I had found "it." I was going to get the standard bean burrito sans rice to test the water, but that smell... Then that stacked pork on the turntable--Al Pastor! Ha. I asked for that meat instead of the "pastor," and I think the polite, professional gal tagged me with "gringo." I might have redeemed myself when I asked for some fried serranos inside. What arrived was nothing short of amazing. I felt like I wanted to be on the side of the road in Mex on a dirt street after surfing, but the new sterile vibe was overwhelming for me. Alissa was amazing! She gave me the best service ever! Not only did she give me her own personal favorites for a first timer like myself to try she even offered me a sample to try a meat I had never tasted. It was amazing! She took her time and really understood what I wanted to eat and customized my order to my preference. She smiled the whole time, gave me great eye contact and went above and beyond to take care of me making my first experience there amazing! When I went to get a to go bag for my food, she had left already and another amazing employee came over named Denise and assisted me with a smile. Even though I just needed a bag she connected with me on a personal level which made me feel valued and important as if I was the only guest there. She was extremely personable and even knew that my company I work for comes to get food there. She really made another positive impression on me that I am going to continue to refer people as the best Mexican food in Long Beach! The place was extremely clean, well kept, organized and every employee there was smiling and actively working doing something. Had to try this place off of a taco review from the TCGD on IG. And he wasn't wrong. I've always passed by this place many times going to the golf course. It sits on the corner with parking in the back. It's nice, it's clean, and the food is really good! It was our first time there and I asked what was good and they explained the tacos and even gave samples of the meat. The menu is simple but everything is good. We each had the asada a nd adobada tacos. They were bomb on hand made flour tortillas just like a street taco. It came with rice, beans, and sauce. Didn't need the sauce at all though becuz the meat was so tasty as it was. Actually didn't need the rice or beans either. We also had the elote which was very good too. Had enough grated cheese on it to satisfy our appetite. I really recommend trying it! For dessert we had some kind of baked chips with caramel on it. I was impressed with all we ate and plan on coming back soon. They even gave us a free sample of mocha horchata as well. If I could give this place 10 stars I would let's start with the Bar. I have the most amazing bartender. Karla I wasn't having the best day so I told her to make me a drink mind you I'm allergic to cinnamon and I have a bunch of allergies, but she came up with the most amazing and strong cocktail,if you know what I mean. Now let's talk about the food, I had no idea what I wanted they were very helpful I asked them 15 million questions and who knew I would love a hibiscus Taco. " they let you sample the meat " it's so flavorful it's going to be hard to choose. Trust me .I also had a combination burrito. My son had a quesadilla and some other things that I don't know the name of but everything was delicious,my son said he would have never guessed that this place had authentic food that taste like we were back in Mexico. We ordered two mulitas de adobado, two vampiros de asada and pollo, a plate of asada nachos, plus a Jarritos and an horchata. The mulitas and vampiros were definitely the stars -- they came with a generous amount of meat and were packed with flavor. The nachos were also really good; I just wish the cheese had been melted a bit more, but overall they were still delicious. The drinks were refreshing and delicious, definitely leaving me wanting more! The service was another highlight. The workers were very attentive, especially Estephany. She was super friendly, helped us navigate the menu, and even offered samples so we could try things before ordering. Definitely not my first time here and most times I come in I get the same cashier, and she knows I'm a regular so we even will have a conversation while she checks up on guests and comes to me. I like to ask questions just to get to know this place more, like this time I asked her where they got the name tacomasa from, and also how they put the flower of the hibiscus to use cause I seen they put them in tacos? And she's always willing to answer my questions with a smile! Then before leaving I also seen her in the kitchen making tortilla, ( amazing) I'm surprised by her customer service always on point! This time we got 2 orders of fries asada and pork, 2 tacos of each and fried fritters all was SO good and really big portion we always end up taking some to go. And free refills!! Let me tell you. I hate LA traffic, and I NEVER come to Long Beach. Live in Hollywood and it takes a miracle to get me on the 405 after 2pm on a Friday. But ladies and gentlemen, Tacos Masa is WORTH THE TRIP. Let me start with the service. Our cashier, Max, is quite possibly the nicest and most helpful server ever. My girlfriend is vegetarian and she had a ton of questions about the Jamaica they used for their non-meat options. Max was super helpful and so patient- he even gave her multiple samples and told us about his vegetarian friend who always had a hard time finding quality Mexican food. Next is the food. OMG. Today was amazing day. Me and my friends went to an escape room, in Long Beach. Our escape room was the Queen Mary. We finished and WON with 13 minutes to spare. #TeamLizzie After winning as first-timers (btw) we were feeling a little hungry, actually starving so we decided to make our way to this place I've never heard before; TacoMasa! There I met the nicest cashier I've ever encountered. Her name was Melanie. I had a great experience at Tacomas in Long Beach! From the moment I walked in, the atmosphere was welcoming and the food absolutely delivered. Everything tasted fresh, flavorful, and made with care--definitely a spot I'll be coming back to. What really stood out, though, was the customer service. I had came here earlier with my kids to try some authentic tj food since we had just been to tj and we were craving something a like what we had experience from our trip. I got the taco combo. Steak and Pork it was okay the pork could've been a lot more well done but other then that I still did get the feeling that i was back in TJ. My kids loved the quesadillas. Recently I went to Tacomasa and I got to say the food there was incredible. Portions are great and the prices are fair. The service was pretty great as well! A girl with glasses by the name of Joscelyn had good attention to detail. Made sure the food was worth buying and was a great person to interact with. As for the space, it had this calm feeling to it; the colors gave it that feeling which also went well with the beach sort of vibe to it. First time coming here on a date to try something new. Was taken care of by the assistant manager Christian. He made some great recommendations for my date and I. We told him it was our first time here and he did not let us down. Food was tasteful, didn't have to wait long, drinks were good. Pretty much checked off all our of boxes. This is one of the best place for tacos de tripa. I've tried many places in east LA, downtown LA , pretty much any where in LA, where they sell tripa; I've tried them all. This is the best out of all of them. Get them extra crispy .. you won't regret it. the service was amazing. I had a bad experience at the el segundo location. They went out there way to make up for my experience and that kind of service can't be beat. Amazing management, amazing people who work here. Thank you so much . Decided to dine in today cause i always do take out and the employees were very welcoming as always. After getting my order an employee came up to me shortly after to ask if everything was ok, and offered a refill for my drink. I Also seen her do it with all the other customers dining in so i know its one of their priorities. I asked for her name to write this review (Karen) cause i 10/10 recommend to anyone local food 10/10, customer service 10/10!! I got a half and half burrito, and plain fries the fries are nicely cripsy and fresh, couldnt be any better. read more
