The menu is HUGE. Tons to choose from It's like a Chipotle if it was a legit Mexican place. I had the nachos al pastor and the spicy sauce and cleared the plate. Despite only having two ladies working, my food was quickly made and rung out. Very cool little place. Don't let the "hole in the wall" vibe outside scare you off.

This place has a salsa and toppings bar with about a dozen items to choose from. It was amazing. The barbacoa and al pastor were excellent, and the steak was good, but in a beef jerky kind of way. We also got an amazing frozen mango drink with a tamarind straw. Definitely worth the visit if you're in the neighborhood for a show or a baseball game.

I haven't been to this place in a while but when a coworker told me they had birria ramen on their menu, I had to go try it. The staff were friendly and the food came out at a reasonable time. They used one of those instant noodle cups for the ramen. Honestly, I was not impressed. The flavor was good but I'm really picky with how my noodles are cooked and it was too overcooked for me. Since it's just my preference that was the issue I'm only taking away 1 star.

Called a head to verify it's they accommodate 10 people, with they could. The food was good and set up chipotle style. The service was great and they celebrated our birthday (4 of us)!

Ended up here during a dance comp this weekend. Due to time constraints and unavailability at nearby restaurants, we stumbled upon this hole in the wall gem. We walked in 10 minutes before closing, so were grateful that they serviced us. Husband and I both ordered three street tacos (mahi mahi/steak and al pastor), with the condiments. I know we were hungry but all our tacos were really delicious. They were also nice enough to prepare an order of the Birria tacos (three to the order), which were taken to go and delicious too! The girl at the counter was super nice. I don't typically tip if I'm getting my own food but they really deserved a good tip, which they received, for feeding us great food, even as they were closing. Oh and the prices were reasonable! I would definitely eat here again if in the area.

Taco Bowl Fried crispy tortilla taco bowl shell was, homemade which is awesome! Chorizo is cooked to order, making this the better protein option to choose from. Lots of sauce topping options, I wish the meat had more spice to it; was a bit bland. Taco shell was the star of the meal. Definitely is cheap eats, which in this economy is a bonus and much appreciated! Decent food, when in a pinch, check'em out.

Taco Town is based out of Baltimore, and their menu offers antojitos, breakfast items, salads, tacos, burritos, bowls, and various platters. Meat options include carne asada, pollo, carne molida, barbacoa, al pastor, chorizo, pescado, and camaron. You can also request your items to be vegan, vegetarian, or GF. We tried their Birria Tacos, which was a corn tortilla filled to the max with melted cheese, barbacoa beef, and onions; this was served with sliced radishes and cucumbers with salsas and consommé on the side. This order came with 3, and it was so generously filled; the shredded beef was super juicy, albeit slightly underseasoned. The consommé had a subtle cinnamon taste to it, and was a good complement to the birria tacos. Better than it being too salty! Staff were very friendly and kind! I love authentic Mexican food and this is where you find it. I ordered a generous portion of lunch tacos that I just could not finish. It was delicious! I highly recommend for a quick lunch. It may be busy.

Taco town has indoor seating but also Cary-out. I did the Cary out. The birria tacos were seasoned well & had a lot of flavor. I am not sure if it's be a use if did Cary out reheated the tacos but the tortillas did fall apart a bit. This wasn't a deal breaker but a bit inconvenient.

We tried this place for an early dinner yesterday. The chirra tacos awesome! Flavorful and lots of meat. We also tried the chicken tortilla soup, which was their "special of the day". It was also very good but not a lot of chicken, so probably wouldn't order that again. The two ladies behind to counter were very friendly and the order was prepared quickly.

Wow. So good! We wanted some good tacos while touristing around the city. We were welcomed right away, the employees were so helpful and awesome. Looking at the menu there are so many options you can go with! I ordered the chicken and pork and the elote corn! My friend ordered the fish tacos, and they were made right in front of you! There are a lot of great toppings, we asked for him to just make it how he would, and the flavors worked so so well together! Highly recommend! read more

FRESH, FRESH, FRESH, AND FRIENDLY! Love this place and food is delicious! First I had the street tacos with fish, pork and beef with Horshata and chips and queso...yummy. Went back a fews days later and got the enchilada platter (green sauce) which included bean, rice, salsa, quac, salad...chips and quesa with a Horshata...delish! The first order included some stale chips so a 4 star. It's becoming my go-to! read more

Absolutely horrible! I do not understand all the positive reviews. Maybe it has changed ownership? This was the worst Mexican food I have ever had! I'm from Texas so I have had wonderful Mexican food in Texas, Arizona and the real thing in Mexico, which is different but very delicious. This place made me physically ill. I went there because of the reviews on here. I have to wonder if the positive reviews are a joke. There were several people in my party and we tried many items. It was all awful. Even the street corn was extremely sub par despite the rave review! There was not even one item that I can recommend. We all could only take a couple of bites. What a waste of money, it all ended up in the trash. Three people out of five were up all night sick. Stay away! read more

Presentation was pretty good, taste was a 3/10. I got the elote corn, & the birria tacos. The tacos did not hit, no seasoning no taste no crunch in the shells just not what I was looking for. The corn was a 5/10. I feel like the restaurant has potential tho, IF I WERE to go again I would try the regular tacos. They looked pretty cool online. read more

I love this place! I just moved to Baltimore and honestly am always craving mexican food but it's so hard to find authentic + affordable options... but I found it at Taco Town!! So good and I love how they give free salsa verde with their tacos. Highly recommend their asada or the one with pineapple! Guac is superb as well! I went to this place for the first time and I really enjoyed it. The food tastes authentic and the ambiance is very welcoming. I ordered a quesadilla and I was able to add any toppings that I would like to it. They offer limited seating inside, however, I picked up my food instead. I ate here during lunch. It wasn't packed so we were able to order and get our food pretty fast. The tacos were okay. I got a fish and chicken taco. You can choose what you want in your tacos such as corn, salsa, pico de gallo, etc. It's $10 for three tacos. I got two tacos because I wanted to try the elote. I couldn't finish the elote because there was too much chile powder on it. read more

Some of my favorite tacos in the city. Fast, fresh, and the staff is so friendly. I always get the three taco deal and I'm never disappointed. Nothing much more to say about it. The staff is so sweet and kind and makes the food even better. I used to live within walking distance, but now that I moved it's a little further so I can't go as often. read more

TLDR; Missing items in the order, second time in the row, will never return Place taste fine I guess, that's why I return after the first order that went wrong - not a good first impression. Ordered 9 tacos received 6, but I let it slide and give them another chance. But second time is even worse, ordered 9 got 3. Seriously, ypu people need to close down and train your staff on counting. read more

Decided to try the new taco place right by my university after hearing good reviews by word of mouth. It most certainly did NOT disappoint! Had 3 tacos for $10, but they also have the option to order singular tacos, as well as burritos, drinks and more. They have a huge host of toppings for their honestly very authentic Mexican tacos, and also gave me their recommendations for toppings to make the tacos truly authentic style. I had the Al Pastor, Mahi-Mahi and a vegetarian cactus and mushrooms taco which they recommended to me. Will definitely be going again! Only complaint, it's a small sized place. They could for sure do great with a larger establishment read more

I thought the steak taco was good. But I didn't care for the chicken taco. I also ordered a birarra taco and that was just okay - it was kinda sweet (maybe that's how it's supposed to taste. I wasn't really impressed and a little disappointed based previous reviews. read more

Heard people taco bout this place a lot and I had to try it! I had to go back to work and didnt want to get my hands dirty so I did not get tacos... big regrets. I got the al pastor burrito bowl instead with unlimited toppings! Each topping seemed very authentic. The portion may be on the smaller side for many people as I was able to comfortably finish the bowl, and trust me, I have a very small stomach lol I read reviews of free guac but I think it only applies to tacos. You can get free guac in your bowl if you're getting a veggie bowl, though. It's a great addition to downtown with very sparse taco options, AND on top of that, very authentic! The employees were fantastic as well. Idk if I would choose their burrito bowl (~$11 after tax) over Chipotle tbh... but I need to really try their tacos next time! read more

Was in town a few weeks ago working at the Hippodrome & was told about this place which is right across the street from the loading dock. Went for the street tacos,excellent!! This place was really good and I loved all their toppings! I got the al pastor (pork), steak and fish. They were all good especially the fish which they grilled for you fresh when you order. All the toppings include various types of sour cream, grilled pineapples, beans, corn, cheese, and peppers! They also have good sides like elote and different agua frescas! Just walked in the cold to Taco Town who's business hours printed on the door say open until 6 pm on the weekend. It was 4:22 pm and the door was locked with two employees inside. I called the phone number to ask why they were closed and the two employees would not pick up the phone and just increased the volume on their music. Terrible customer service. read more

So good! I came here when they first opened and they were so generous. Back then, I had never tried a drink they were selling before, and they let me try it on the house. I have never forgotten that and since recommended it to all of my coworkers and friends in the area. Every time I have come here the service has been wonderful and the food has been delicious. You get an amazing deal on the food as well. I am not coming to work as often as I was, but I will definitely be having lunch from Taco Town when I come back. read more

Updated: under new management since I was last here. Recently saw the good reviews and decided to give the place another shot. Friendly, fast service. Loved the Birria Tacos and their consommé! This was my first time eating here and the first thing I noticed was how comfy and homey the restaurant was. We were immediately greeted with kindness. I tried the Birria tacos which I have never tried before but have been wanting to try for so long. They were absolutely DELICIOUS and I can't wait to go back. Disappointed. I've heard and read so many good things about this place so I decided to try it today. If I could, I would ask for my money back. Burrito tasted bland and so did the salsa. The chips may have been the only decent thing that I ordered. I ordered a chicken burrito with chips and salsa so maybe I made the wrong choice. Not sure if I'll be back to try anything else. I have been to Taco Town several times now and have always had the tacos. I liked all of the varieties I have tried but especially enjoyed the chorizo. You can get a wide variety of toppings on the tacos. I have also had black beans and Mexican rice as side orders. The food has always been excellent and I will be back soon. I've lived on the border and these are the closet thing to authentic border tacos that I've found in Baltimore! Amazing, fresh, flavorful. Staff is pleasant and cozy atmosphere. My husband and I got the 3/$10 taco deal with a side a rice. Everything is perfectly seasoned and FRESH. We will definitely be regulars here! read more

Basically a build your own taco line with a huge selection. I've been there twice now and there was absolutely no wait. It's 3 tacos for $10 but they also offer a student discount. You can load your tacos up with as many free toppings as you want. There's things like guacamole, grilled pineapple, grilled corn, salsas, cheese, etc. The only downfall is the tortillas. I believe their homemade flour ones but they fall apart and crumble immediately. Other than that I highly recommend for a quick, cheap bite to eat. read more

As a turn at UMMC, and someone who moved here from New Mexico... all I can say is I HAVE FOUND MY TACOS!!!!! These are AUTHENTIC! And 3 tacos for $10?! ITS A STEAL. The tacos were amazing and the burritos are bigger than you could imagine. I have been there twice and will be going before and after work on days that are appropriate.
