Standard Mexican cafeteria style ask/build for your own eatery. Very short on explanation of what is in each named dish. This is ok if one knows Mexican food but very unhelpful if one is new to this style of food. My wife had a Tilapia Burrito, which was good and had a lot of juice so was messy to eat. No chips were given with this meal. I had pork Chorizo Burrito, It was standard fare, with chips. We arrived around 2pm and it was fairly busy for that time of day. The place was pretty clean, as the manager was sweeping up as we ate. The bathrooms are one commode for each sex. The door lock on the mens room did not function. If one was sitting on the commode and the door was opened their knees would be hit by the door. This indicates a poor design. Both restrooms were pretty clean as my wife informed me of the women's restroom. We may go back if at some point we are craving Mexican food. This eatery is standard fare. read more

Really good, quick food. Think MUCH better quality than Chipotle, without the contamination nor offensively loud noise. The tacos, burritos, and quesadillas have always been great. We went to Taco Maya as we made out way out of state today for the holiday weekend. The space is clean, organized, and inviting for a fast casual spot. The ordering system is similar to other locations like Chipotle or Moe's. The menu has a little something for everyone and the service was more or less quick. As we waited to place our order the staff was working through what appeared to be take out orders. The system of food prep was not really organized and made it difficult to order several items since they passed the food down the line and expected you to follow. Overall the food was good but nothing special. When looking at the other reviews I was expecting much more flavor. Everything was ok and on par with other fast casual spaces of this variety. The largest drawback for me was the portion size of the chips that we received with the large guacamole. We were out of chips with almost half of the guacamole still left. Overall, it was a very average visit and not bad considering we were just attempting to take a break from driving. read more

This is one of my favorite places to eat in the Chester county area. I have a serious love for Mexican food and while this place doesn't have as much variety as other restaurants, it makes up for it with delicious food that is not only prepared quickly but is offered at a very affordable price. Their tilapia tacos are usually my go to and they offer three for only $8. I have heard many people compare this place to chipotle but honestly I don't think that it is fair to compare the two. The tacos are delicious with fresh ingredients and lots of possible combinations. I had the carne asade in one taco and pork in the other. Although the steak was tender, I liked the pork more and I'll probably just get pork next time. The prices are reasonable and the line moves quickly. Ate at taco maya before they moved to the location they are at now. Delicious then delicious now. The place is very nice and much bigger than their last place. It's super clean and homey. I always get a to-go bowl with Spanish rice. I have tried to recreate their rice and I just cannot do it lol it's so good. No beans so I have no opinion on those. All meats are very good, barbiquoa (spelling from memory is horrible haha) is always my go to. Tender, flavorful. Yummy! All their side ingredients are very good. Usually get just cheese, sometimes lettuce, light salsa verde always and sometimes the darker verde sauce depending on my mood, and always always extra pico. So good. Most times I get side orders of their rice, salsa (chips) and pico as well. I generally don't really like tilapia but I've tried it there and by no surprise was really good as well. Their the chili relleno is also super yummy. Definitely my favorite Mexican restaurant around. Planning on going again today lol read more

I found this place by "luck" and let me tell you it's an awesome place to eat. I eat at a lot of Mexican restaurants and Taco Maya blows most of them away. You get the food super fast and it's incredible tasting. I work a few minutes from the location and I could eat there everyday if my bank account would allow it. I live in Pottstown and I'll come down to Exton just to eat here. My 8 year old daughter and I love this place. I cannot wait to they move into their larger location. They should expand into multiple locations. I hear Pottstown has building you could set up. read more

Taco Maya has been one of my go to Mexican joints in the area for the past 2 years I've known of its existence. My go to is the carnitas burrito or tacos. The pork is slow cooked and so juicy and delicious; and it's not overly fatty like you see at some other places. The salsa bar is incredible. I have yet to have a bad experience here. This is a new favorite! When it comes to quick, made to order this is as good as it gets. As many others have mentioned, it beats the Mexican 'fast' food places we're all familiar with. We had a burrito, a chicken chipotle quesadilla and a special queso they were featuring. All of it was awesome, really fresh ingredients. The place itself was also really clean, casual. The owner or maybe manager was very accessible, cleaned our plates right when we finished, very friendly. I have been here twice in the last week and was impressed both times. I am gluten free so I got the three hard shell tacos. I tried ground beef, barbacoa and carnitas. All were good but the carnitas were my favorite. Everything tasted fresh and delicious! Their regular salsa and salsa verde are my favorite. The guacamole is excellent, far better than Chipotle in my opinion. The portion sizes are large but manageable. The staff was friendly and the restaurant appeared clean. It's too bad that they are tucked so far off the street. I have lived here for 3 years and never thought to go in there until now.
