The beef steak tacos were exceptionally good with high quality meat well cooked and onions cooked to perfection which added a sweet taste. The staff was very friendly and helpful but it is a serve yourself condiment bar and drink station. I ordered through the app for online pick up and when I got there 20 minutes later, my food wasn't ready, so I had the opportunity to watch one of the employees put my bowl together, using her dirty ass glove that she had used to touch her face and her headset and then scoop the ingredients that she was dropping on the counter... using that same gloved hand to wipe the food off the counter and onto the floor. I mean this girl didn't even use a spatula to scoop up the meat. She was just putting her gloved hand into the lettuce and then into the pico and then into the cheese, and then she walked around the counter and she used the same gloved hand, not even a spatula to scoop the meat into each bowl. I ordered a chicken bowl and a steak bowl and she used the same gloved hand, not even a spatula to pick up the meats and put them into the bowl. The minute we walked in it smelled like sewer. It was rank. I figured maybe they just having an issue that they can't help so decided to give them a try. I should have listened to my intuition. Service was not great. They forgot our order so we waited 25 minutes for our order. We thought it seemed to be taking a while but waited patiently. Once we saw someone who came in after us get their food, then we knew something was up. The lady bringing the orders asked if we had gotten our food. We told her no. So they rushed to bring us the food and the food did not make up for the ambiance or lack of service. I ordered beef fajitas. Charged for 3 plates when I ordered 2, and charged me for 3 drinks I didn't order. And not sure if their Margarita machine is on the fritz or what, but it definitely didn't taste like a standard TC Rita (missing sour mixer maybe?) The dining room was clean. The staff were nice and the manager did refund me for the items I didn't order. After two bill adjustments it just wasn't worth asking for hotter food or a different drink. But here tonight on a Friday and the staff is doing such a good job with the little rush that came right now. The Manager is taking orders and helping prep food, there's someone cleaning constantly no matter how busy it's getting so it's CLEAN in here and that's a major one for me. I like when I see a Manager working as hard as the Team and this Team tonight has it going on! I will start off by accepting the fact that Taco Cabana is an insult to real Mexican food. That being said in the world of McDonalds and other mediocre "food" it is usually edible. While in this town we wanted a quick breakfast taco and assumed the tacos here would suffice. I was extremely wrong. Walking into the restaurant you get the vibes of a New York Subway bathroom. The place is dingy and I'm certain there are cleaner hypodermic needles in rural Arkansas than the cook surfaces and table of this "restaurant". The staff were polite and offered excellent service however the food was God awful. Halfway through one taco we found scraps of metal wire in our food. Not wanting to be difficult and accepting that we were eating at a place with the same hygiene standards as an old west outhouse.... We set the taco to the side only to find more wire in the rest of the tacos. This could have lodged in someone's throat and killed either choked one of my kids or caused health issues if it stayed stuck in there. I would buy tacos from a homeless man who prepares his food in a city park porta potty before eating here again. read more

My return receipt is included below. Luckily I looked at the original receipt because I didn't ask for a drink, plus she didn't give me a cup for the drink. So when I got in line again, she gave me a cup when she was done helping another customer. Which tells me she knew she charged me for a drink and was practically forcing me to take the cup. The manager was standing next to her and I told them I didn't ask for a drink, you charged me for one, & didn't even give me the drink. The manager took the drink off and the receipt is included (which doesn't even make sense cuz when u add up the 3 items, it doesn't add up to $14.16. The salsa roja is tasteless. Fast food restaurants are having a hard time hiring, so I'm reluctant to post this review. That being said, there are some situations that must be addressed by management or their business will fail. I went to drive thru lane as dining room was closed at 4:00 PM on a Saturday. I was in line for about 15 minutes, placed simple order of 2 tacos, paid and was directed to a designated parking spot. Nobody showed up! After 20 minutes. I left. The next day, I returned and showed the drive through employee my receipt and gave a quick explanation of what happened. She consulted the manager and came back with a bag holding 2 tacos. I asked the manager if they could offer a small gift card as a customer courtesy since I had to come back and was upside down $8! The manager told me he had no gift cards, scribbled his name on the receipt and told me to come back and claim something I didn't understand then closed the window!! read more

By far one of the worst TC, they have no consideration for the customers the establishment is always filthy never clean! The workers are alway rude. The food comes out cold or even wrong which I don't understand how they are never busy the times I've came in. The workers also like to eat the chips in front of the customers with no gloves on... Mediocre semi quick Mexican. They took all the locations away from AZ, so I only get to enjoy TC on trips. The salsa bar is good, the food is a step up from Del and the Bell. 3 kids and myself, at 9:40ish in the middle of no where Texas in the Pm. Had the 3 enchilada plate, ok. Lots of food, short on flavor...salsa bar to the rescue. Kids had the burritos, seemed to enjoy them and the bar of sauce as well. Service was ok. The young lady messed up the kids meal with an enchilada, fixed it with the quesadilla quickly, no questions. Bathroom was tiny, not super clean. Clean enough to warm the seat, and leave a sideways skid mark before resuming the drive. They have a tub of beer and pricy drinks, fountain, and out of the blue...apple Fanta. Redeeming factor for me, at least. 24 hours and a drive through. A beacon in the night between as many truck stop subways you can count. read more

Horrible! Waited forever! They were more worried about drive thru orders, than inside. Ordered plan crispy tacos clearly stated no cheese, no veggies, meat and shell only! Told the lady this at least 5 times, even went back up there after my receipt showed just no cheese. Foods good but service is slow, consistently get order wrong, my last visit had a long hair In it UPDATE Got a reply from them apologizing for the service so gave them another shot wish I wouldn't have, I ordered the large party nachos, box had about half a order in it I think I would have gotten the same if I ordered a regular order it was supposed to be steak but I don't think there was more than 10 pieces of small meat in the whole order. Even though I had sworn off ever coming back to TC (read previous reviews on my profile) the 'Rib' wanted to stop here for lunch to get a salad since she is on a special diet. I had the same so I can't really review how it compares in times past. The salad was ok, nothing special but I am not holding my breath that they will go back to the older recipes for the other foods.
