Atmosphere is nice ! Waited for about 5 minutes to get sat and they were quite busy. Food was good ! Especially the chicken enchiladas! Salsa was chunky and had a kick to it ! Service wasn't very attentive. read more

My husband and I stopped by this Mexican restaurant expecting a welcoming experience, but that was not the case. We seated ourselves and waited for about five minutes without any acknowledgment from the staff. During that time, a white couple walked in and was immediately greeted and waited on before us. Only after they were acknowledged did a waiter finally come to our table. The experience left us feeling ignored and uncomfortable. Regardless of intent, this kind of service is unacceptable. Because of this experience, we will not be returning and will be letting our family and friends know to avoid this establishment. read more

Su Casa Cafe - Bacon and egg taco - Mexican Near Me - Seguin, Texas

We always stop here for breakfast while visiting Seguin, TX. The salsa was hotter than usual today, so I had to choose either my hot coffee or the salsa or my tongue would have burned up! You pay for chips and salsa for breakfast. I am not sure about lunch. Service wasn't as quick as usual. There were numerous wait staff standing around chatting before one came our way. After that, service was decent. The restaurant has a casual TexMex vibe. My husband loves the chicken fajita with egg tacos. I mix it up each time. On this visit, I got the Migas plate. It was good, but I would have preferred some tomato, pepper and onion mixed in with the eggs, cheese and tortilla chips. As always, we'll be back. read more

A very down home feel but the food is off the charts. I've had several choices from the menu and have never been disappointed or regretted my choice. The wait staff is on top of their customer's needs and the meals come out quickly. You can tell it's. Great spot, if you come too late in the morning you'll be waiting for a place to sit. read more

The taco salad has very little meat. The little Mang girl is really rude. I was accused of eating the meat and cheese out of my taco salad. Very loud from Ellie to point other table could hear her. Never to return. I have never had someone accuse a customer of anything. I was restaurant Mang for years. I would never allow my staff to handle an issue like this. Shame on u for treating someone like this read more

Saturday morning breakfast review: Nice people, clean building/tables. Service was good and had no issues with wait time. I expected more from the food. Based on all of the good reviews I was looking forward to some really good Tex-Mex breakfast and was disappointed. Eggs were over cooked, French toast didn't have good mix, one piece was coated in cinnamon the other 2 had none, potatoes had no seasoning on them, and the barbacoa was greasy, fatty, and had bland. The best thing about my breakfast was the homemade salsa which I smothered over everything. It would have been fine that the eggs, beans, and potatoes weren't seasoned if the barbacoa had a stand-alone flavor but it was all just very bland. Probably won't try again. There are better places in Seguin for Tex-Mex breakfast. read more

First time here. Wow!!! Just wow!!! Excellent service. Potato's peeled and clean. No dirt like some places. Tortillas big and soft. Very tasty. Highly recommend. read more

Can here since we had a few people recommend for Mexican food. Honestly we weren't impressed, if you're looking for traditional Mexican food; this is the place. I had asked for Chilaquiles, they weren't what I was expecting. My dish looked more like an omelette. I know this dish may be different since it's "Tex-Mex" but I lived in Mexico for 3 years and this doesn't come to it. The service wasn't terrible but definitely slow. My husband had asked for ketchup and it never made it to our table. You can see the waiters were running around and I'm sure they were busy. We tried our best to be patience. I don't see us coming back anytime soon. read more

Best of the best! The crème de la crème! Out standing atmosphere and the chef? What can I say but perfect! Great Mexican food ever!

I've been wanting to try this place since always busy when I drive by. Service was ok but very matter of fact. Not many happy faces from staff. Food was not tasty. I found something odd in my meat. Salsa was only item that was good. My stomach has not felt good since eating there. I will not be back. read more

I have eaten a lot of food at this restaurant and I have never been disappointed. One of my favorites is the nachos. OMG they are the bomb. I also highly recommend the menudo. This staff are always welcoming and friendly. The restaurant has comfortable and homelike ambiance that is very relaxing. This is a great restaurant with solid Tex-mex cooking. You won't be disappointed. read more

Customer service is terrible as in the front lady that deals with the orders due to I was not able to pick up a order in the morning and decided to order later in the day while I walked in said I have another order if I don't pay next time won't be able to order and when I placed order on phone she said 10 min I arrived 15 min later to then being told she will not put my order in until I pay and then heated up the old tacos and gave them to me Update the food was warmed up potato's were hard cheese was way to gooie and you know when you place a taco in the microwave the tortilla gets way to firm 100% nasty and will never be returning read more

Their hot sauce is awesome! Never eaten their lunch it's always breakfast for me. When I eat there I always get a plate, migas, Al la mexicana or I get their tacos to go. The matador and taco loco are the way to go 100% if you like lots of items in them read more

Wow, this Seguin restaurant is so noisy ! How can you enjoy the ambiance when you cannot hear yourself or waitress speak. The waitress should have been pro active and gone to each person and take our orders instead of us yelling across the table of four. The eggs on the Huevos Rancheros did not come like requested. The plate had to be returned and probably microwaved . Breakfast tacos were good except for the one with beans and sausage. Where was the sausage ? I wanted to order oatmeal , I asked for a bit of milk on the side a small creamer size. Waitress said they charge for a cup of milk and that the oatmeal already had milk in it. No brown sugar either so I decided not to order the oatmeal for 7.99 Unfortunately we will not return . read more

We were taking toll road headed to San Antonio and decided to stop in Sequin to stretch our legs and have Sunday brunch. Su Casa Cafe listed top breakfast place on google so decided to check it out. It was packed but service was very efficient and tables cleaned quickly. We were seated within 10 minutes or less. I ordered huevos rancheros and my friend ordered chicken fajitas. Traditional TexMex restaurant so fresh chips and salsa delivered immediately. Chips tasted freshly made and this was the best salsa we had ever had. I always order my rancheros sauce on the side as not all rancheros sauce are good. The best I ever had was a cafe in Rockport and this rancheros sauce was even better. Eggs cooked perfectly. Flour tortillas are fresh made on site and delicious. Best TexMex breakfast I've had ever! The most outstanding things about the meal were all the delicious salsas. My friend thought the chicken fajita meat was perfectly seasoned. We will definitely eat here again if passing this way. Service was very efficient. Highly recommend this restaurant for authentic TexMex. read more

Great food. Service was a little slow but worth the wait ( Sunday at 10:30). Flour tortillas delicious corn tortillas were very heavy.

Always amazing food and Maria is the BEST server!!! I'm sure the others are good too, but we always ask for her. She remembers what we drink and what we want for food, she is amazing!!! We come here as often as possible. Sometimes, food is slow coming out, but worth the wait for sure. read more

Food was Great! Maria was our Waitress. She was so sweet to answer our questions and make suggestions for our next visit. Oh for SURE we will be going back here. We're New Residents to Seguin and locating the best places to eat. Yes we have found a few we would not recommend.. Sorry folks but we have eaten food in Many States and in a few other Countries as well. We're also not half bad cooks either. ( That being said), I'm in no way trying to boast. we are in our Seventies so if you cook you know you pick up trucks over the years. We were both Born in Texas. But I was a Navy Brat ( and Proud of that), My husband was in the Air Force. So we're very Proud of our Men and Women in the Armenian Services. We also Had our own BBQ place in our Convince Store for a few years in Cajun Country . People came from miles around to get my husbands BBQ. But we became residents of Seguin as of April 10, 2023. We eat out quite often. So far in our search for A Great place to eat Mexican food we found Su Casa. it's listed as a Tex Mex Restaurant . Today we choose the Nacho Plate to Share. Oh I do wish i could get use to taking pictures to post. But I can tell you when it arrived it was as appealing to look at as it was Great tasting. To begin with the chips were thin and crispy and the Salsa hat just enough heat to be GREAT. We had the Ground Beef Nacho Plater. It had melted cheese lettuce and tomatoes and a large mound of Guacamole. We planned to share it but i couldn't resist ordering the Tortilla Soup. My soup came in a large bowl with nice large slices of Guacamole full of chicken, cheese and chips. It wasn't too salty but I didn't need to add any either. I fill up quickly so brought sone home. However my husband managed to clear the Nacho platter clean. lol. I did eat a few and had to agree they were great. We ask Maria which foods she might suggest for our next visit. She suggested we try the Enchiladas. Either one she said both were favorites. They must be doing something right because the place was busy but we received our order quickly and I really can't say enough about how good the food and service was. We have family coming in this next weekend . My Sister and her husband and one grand Daughter. I can Guarantee she will want to eat Mexican food and I know just were we will be taking them. Go by and give them a try Tell Maria if your lucky enough to get her as your server that we sent you. Did i mention the price is Great also. Sorry folks no Liquor but they do serve beer for those that wish for a beer. we drink tea and that was no issue for us. To give you an idea of how fast our food arrived. A table of 15 had arrived just ahead of us. we had not even gotten through the chips and salsa that was brought out first. We never had to ask for anything it just appeared hot and with a smile. I'm limited to Five Stars but would have given 10. Thanks to the Cooks and the Staff Great Job done by all. I'm going to go finish off my Tortilla Soup You All go by and see for yourselves. Maybe you will see an old Couple in there with a little Black Chihuahua . That will be Tippy our Service Dog. He is old and becoming white headed also. But you will never know he is there unless you see us coming in or leaving. We constantly get compliments on how well behaved he is. If you should see us stop and say hello. We would be delighted to meet you. Claudette and John Varnon and of course Tippy. read more

I love the food and salsa here, and usually the service is good. I live West of Houston and try to stop in each time I pass through Seguin, which is several times per year. This review is not about that, though does factor into why I gave Su Casa a "2" instead of a "1" after my last attempted visit. The restaurant hours state that they are open until 3 PM. Although I was hungry, as it was well past lunch, I held off eating because I knew that I would be there well before closing. I arrived at 2:40 PM and was told that they were closed to anyone other than To Go Orders. The restaurant was at least 1/3 full of diners. If I had slid in there as they were locking the doors, I would have understood. The service and food preparation are normally prompt, and I am typically in and out within 30-40 minutes. Needless to say, I was disappointed. If Su Casa closes to table service before 3 PM, then they should be clear about that in their posted hours. As it turns out, it may have been Su Casa's loss rather than mine. As a result, I consulted Yelp and discovered The Palms, a Seguin Mexican food restaurant a few blocks West on Kingsbury. I had not eaten there before. The food was delicious, and the service was stellar. Su Casa, your loss! read more

Update: 10-2015, just had an excellent egg and pan sausage taco, and it was one of the best I've ever had. The tortilla was perfectly cooked (hot, soft, and lardy). The pan sausage was so juicy and flavorful. I also got a barbacoa which I found to be lean though a little greasy good. I chose a corn tortilla because they say that's how you're supposed to eat them, however this corn tortilla was gummy because it wasn't cooked all the way through. I will choose flour tortillas for everything next time because they were excellent. Because the corn tortilla wasn't done, and I want to try a lunch entree soon then, I may consider upping them to 5 stars. Old review This is one of the older taquerias in Seguin. Tried two of their breakfast tacos, a barbacoa and a potato and egg. The barbacoa was real fatty and left a fat film on your pallet, and the potato and egg wasn't that flavorful, with the eggs being a little diluted and the potatoes dry. The tortillas were good but seemed a little steamed. There are definitely some great taco joints in Seguin; I wouldn't put this place near the top of my list. The salsa is roasted, pureed well, and very spiced. It was good. read more

This place was terrible. First of all, it took 45 mins to get our food, which was breakfast tacos, tortilla soup, and mini tacos. When it got to the table, it was pretty disgusting. The "scrambled" eggs were literally chopped up fried eggs. Why? Idk what is going on with their chorizo but it was seriously the worst I've ever had. It tasted like rotting meat, not exaggerating. Everything was cold even though the tacos were served in foil, which seemed questionable to me. I feel sorry for the people of Seguin if they think this is good Mexican food. It was really bad. read more

Wish I could give an accurate review on the food but I actually didn't even get to eat. My family and I came in, sat down, ordered 6 tacos and 50 minutes later hadn't even have our drinks or chips refilled. People who ordered full plates after us got their food before we left. Our table was wobbly and there were a ton of flies. The sunscreen for the window at our booth was filthy and had dead bugs all over it. We won't be back. read more

Our family of 8 went for breakfast on our way back to Houston. They have a beautiful gazebo where we were able to eat and have our toy dog which was a plus since we were on the road heading home! The attention from the staff was very warm and nice. We ordered El Senor plate, omelets, pancakes, menudo, chicken tortilla soup and everything was delicious! The portion are very generous and they hand make flour and corn tortillas which were also amazing. Everyone cleaned their plate and we shared 2 desserts but the sopapillas were the best! They kept our coffee, soft drinks and salsas refilled at all times. The bill came out $109.00 for all of and that included the tip and the fact some of us ordered soups along with entree and we ordered 2 desserts. This place was great and would recommend highly. read more

This is by far the best Mexican restaurant in seguin. Their tortillas are homemade and have a good size menu. There isn't anything I haven't tried that I have not liked. It's a little pricier and they do take forever to answer the phone sometimes it rings and rings till I hang up and redial and still have to redial several times before I get a response that is why they don't get 5-star from me read more
