Restrooms are spacious and clean. Guacamole is served plentiful and with fresh, crispy chips in a nice wire basket with parchment type paper to absorb oil. Salted just right, the guacamole is served in a molcajete with a garnish of peeled grapes on a small vine. Those grapes had great flavor as well. The lunch specials were decent and we had a couple drinks which were tasty and visually appealing as well. I ordered the Enchiladas and to my surprise, when they were served, they were hot and cheesy. Took my first bite and was transported back to childhood, sitting at my abuela's mesa the surprise was pleasant and tugged at my heart strings. The plate comes with cilantro rice with a green color which was weird to me but very tasty. The beans were refried and had a great taste as well. We didn't get any tortillas so not sure that they serve them here. As the manager came around, I had to let him know that I was so pleasantly impressed at the transportation back to childhood. He verbalized his contentment at my experience when I simply came to celebrate my friend's birthday. Definitely will be back here again. 'lol

The interior is old and needs to be updated but it has it's own charm. Having said that - we came for the food and it did not disappoint. Large portions for a good price. Migas with Cheese was so good, eggs were fluffy, pico de gallo was fresh, beans and potatoes were served hot and were exactly what I expected with light seasoning. I also loved the salsa they provided to add to it, super good and the perfect fit for my Tex-Mex breakfast. Husband had the chicken fried steak and it was delicious! well seasoned, good batter, good gravy. Will absolutely be coming again!

I ordered delivery because sometimes the universe just needs to bring me tacos, not the other way…read morearound. What I did not expect was for these tacos to show up looking like they'd been training for a strongman competition. These things are enormous. Not "big." Not "hefty." I'm talking full‑blown California‑burrito impersonators. Each one weighs about ten pounds and could double as a doorstop. I opened the bag and immediately understood why the Uber Eats driver looked spiritually exhausted. I ordered three: * Bacon, egg, cheese & potato * Sausage, egg & cheese * Bean & cheese The bacon one... listen. Something in there was giving "mystery smoke." I don't know if it was the bacon, the potatoes, or a ghost from a BBQ pit that refused to move on, but the flavor was doing its own side quest. Not awful -- just confusing enough that I paused mid‑bite like, "What exactly am I tasting right now." The sausage one was solid, no complaints, but the bean and cheese? That one was the star. Simple, authentic, comforting -- the Beyoncé of the order. Zero drama, zero surprises, just good. And the real MVP moment: they delivered to New Braunfels. From Seguin. Through Uber Eats. That's not delivery -- that's commitment. That's "we will cross county lines to make sure you're fed." Even though one taco wasn't my vibe, I'd absolutely order again -- just with a different lineup. When the tacos are this massive and the delivery radius is this heroic, you give them another shot.

They have chips and salsa for the table, and they were good. Their virgin Pina Colada was also the bomb. That's the good part, the best part of the afternoon. Unfortunately, things went sideways quite a bit for my friends. One of them eats dairy free and gluten free. It was extremely difficult for her to find anything to eat there. At some point, a manager told her he'd have to reheat her tortillas in the microwave. Weird and disappointing option. She ordered the dish anyway, and it was just nothing noteworthy. My other friend had the seafood, a shrimp dish to be exact, and she had an upset stomach a couple of hours later that lasted until the evening. She hadn't eaten anything else. So we're not 100% sure it's because of this place, but seafood is a common culprit so it's very possible that it was. I don't think she finished her plate, if my memory serves me well. My husband had the chimichanga. I think it was fine. But it was dunked in beef tallow, which he had been warned about. I thought it was a strange thing to do, especially since you can fry it in normal oil and open the menu to vegetarians as well. Beef tallow is so 1851!... Out of all of us, I had the best experience, but I can't say the same or the rest of my party. Let's just say Adobe Cafe showed us the good, the bad and the ugly. He's always on a mission to try as many of Texas Monthly's Top 50 BBQ Joints as he can. We were in San Antonio for the weekend to celebrate our grandfather's birthday, but Seguin isn't too far away (45 minutes on a good day or an hour and 20 minutes on a day when they've closed down I-10 and made a mess of a traffic; the latter was our experience). Friends of his drove from different places to meet us and we met them in line. Texas Monthly hasn't released the 2026 list yet, but Burnt Bean Co. was number 1 on the list in 2025. NUMBER 1! So, yes, there will be a line. The first of our group arrived around 9 in the morning for an 11 am opening. There's a bit of cover where the line wraps from the front door, but we were definitely baking. People brought chairs, umbrellas, handheld fans, cold waters, and more to stay cool. It was still sooooo hot. People who arrived around 9 got in right at 11 and had BBQ in front of them by 11:10. People who got there around 10 got in maybe a half hour later. People who got there later had to wait closer to an hour and got in around 12. (I noticed this, because people in our group weren't all standing together in line.) Once inside, the restaurant is really nice: high ceilings, great AC, tons of tables, and an outside area, too (if you prefer to continue to sweat as you eat your BBQ). The service was incredibly friendly, too. Staff came by and asked however everything was, took empty plates/platters to help us make room, and were very friendly when we were ordering. Almost everything we ate was exceptional. Their menu is huge, with tons of specials that change constantly. Between our group of 9 people, we tried most of the menu. The highlights for me were the beef cheek pastrami, the steakhouse bacon, the Moroccan spiced lamb ribs, and the turkey. I didn't have room to try the brisket, chicken, sausage, and many other things, because I had been eating too long by the time the folks with those meats got to our table! The sides were also very good. I tried the cheesy squash, the green beans, and the queso mac and cheese with hot cheetos - all good. On Saturdays, they offer several specials: the steakhouse bacon, the bourbon peach cobbler taco, and 2 free beers per person - as if they didn't have enough treats on the menu for a great time. Their location is Seguin is great - just off Central Park and Court Street. The service was fantastic. The vibes are great. The food was definitely topnotch. Even the line feels like a fun community experience - with people chatting and having a great time. There's nothing not to like about Burnt Bean Co. We all enjoyed my brother's birthday treat! I'm glad he insisted!

You cannot try a wide variety of their dishes but it was enough for me. I had pick up at 10:30 and you just go to the back a bit of a wait like 10-15 minutes since they cut the meat to order. I got the brisket (2 lbs), pork ribs (2 lbs) , jalapeño sausage (1lb), and quart sizes of the corn pudding, tater tot dish, and hot cheeto mac and cheese. The stars were definitely the pork rib (super flavorful and tender), the brisket was fall apart tender, and the jalapeno sausage had a beautiful snap and is properly spicy. I was a bit disappointed with the sides. My favorite was probably the corn pudding but I still prefer a nice roasted corn OR a corn bread but this was a very unique combo of the two. The mac was okay and same with the tater tot side (honestly the potatoes were quite salty). The sauce isn't my favorite since I personally prefer a spicier sauce. The bread they have is very nice and the people are friendly. It's also quite smoky inside.
