Me at The Tabernacle inside for Raekwon and Havoc show.
Ahmad W.

I've been here a lot and I forgot to review the place. First time I was here for Eric B and Rakim 30th anniversary with a friend.Second time for Goodie Mob with other Atlanta GA artists with my bro.Third time I saw DMX a couple of years before he passed away with my bro .Fourth time I saw Killer Mike and Purple Ribbon Allstars with Big Boi,Ceelo, and Two dollar Fabo with my bro. Fifth time I saw Gucci,TI ,Latto with my bro. 12-11-2025 the sixth time I visited I saw Raekwon with Havoc and Rapper Noyd. They bought or Cormega, Benny The Butcher and Mr Cheeks to perform also.. The show was great This is my first time seeing Mobb Deep performance and the other artist who they bought out. This is my third time seeing Raekwon performance.

It's alright, not the worst venue ever. The sound quality could be a bit better and the seats could be upgraded.

The tabernacle always a good spot to enjoy Your favorite musical artist/performers In a more intimate setting Located in downtown Atlanta Parking can be a challenge And you can expect to pay between 20-40.00 average For your vehicle Other from that.. Lots of up and coming artist In the height of their career Frequent this venue Along with common every day Household names You have floor space for standing Or balcony seats The choice is yours Nice details in the bar area Capture great memories Whether pics in the hallway Or in the open wall space areas Now one thing that could be better The sound system Can sometimes be off It's like the eq isn't getting Enough attention I've seen a number of acts With the most recent Sir's tour Which was cool Bring a friend Bring family You are gonna have a good time

What a fun venue! Great staff and super chill/fun vibe to watch standup at! I loved the atmosphere as soon as I stepped in and went downstairs to the bar. All the staff was super nice, even the people checking bags were friendly haha. It made things overall a good experience even before the show started. The food was also pretty great! I never had chicken tenders the same way back in the DC area where I'm from.

This building was originally built to be the home of a Baptist Tabernacle Church. 80 years later it became a live music venue. Now it's an Atlanta institution. Everybody has played here. Prince. Bob Dylan. Willie Nelson. Elton John. Dave Matthews Band. Outkast. The venue seats a cozy 2,600. When you enter you'll walk up some stairs into a small landing. Walking forward leads you to the merch room and beer lines. Walking up the stairs to your left or right takes you to where the magic happens.

I wrote this review in May but family drama dominated my summer and I never published it. Our visit to the Tabernacle in May was so incredible that I would be doing an injustice by not adding my review. Here goes... Ed Sheeran is on tour playing for tens of thousands of fans in arenas and stadiums all over the country. But, for a few nights during the tour, he has been playing small venues. When he was in Atlanta, he played for just 2500 of us at the Tabernacle. The intimacy with the artist was truly a one of a kind experience. By the time I bought my tickets, even nosebleed seats were over $200. We were three rows from the top in the second balcony. Even then, I was able to see Ed's face. There were tv monitors in the balcony that were intended to give an up close view of the stage but in reality, my view was better than what the monitor provided. Seeing a concert at the Tabernacle is a one kind experience. The Tabernacle is old, built in 1911. This was before microphones and amps. The acoustics are amazing. The third set was done completely unplugged yet I could hear perfectly from my seat. Not every seat is a winner - there are more than a few seats with obstructed views - be cognizant of what seats you purchase. The upper balcony is not for the faint of heart. It's four flights up an uneven wooden staircase. The pitch is so steep that I wouldn't leave my seat - I made my husband go down to get me a drink (there are plenty of bars scattered throughout). The concert was awesome in and of itself but when you add the intimacy of the Tabernacle, the concert just blew every other concert away. I will have no qualms driving 4 hours to see a concert here again. ....I'm keeping my fingers and toes crossed that the family drama calms down. My mantra has become: "peace and serenity, peace and serenity".

Haven't been to the venue in years (over a decade) but it's still as good as I remember. I recall it being a former church hence the name. Acoustics were great. I'm glad I'm in better shape and able to climb those flights of stairs! That 300 level was a pure leg workout haha. Parking is plentiful. Overall great experience. Live nation seems to bring a lot of acts here.

A true gem for music in a beautiful city. Came here to see the Mars Volta and had a blast... A great cozy place to see an act. Sound was super which is not always the case for small venues . The vibe and all also compliment the people playing Hope to come back to this awesome little venue !

Georgia's version of the Ryman Auditorium, the Tabernacle blends more than 100 years of history with top-notch acoustics to create a memorable live music venue in the heart of downtown Atlanta. The deceptively spacious Baptist sanctuary, built in 1911, was first transformed into a House of Blues for the 1996 Olympic Games, and now hosts dozens of concerts and shows every year. My wife and recently visited for a Jason Isbell show and were impressed with the sightlines, the sound and the design of the space. This is an outstanding venue for just about any type of performance, although I'd make a few recommendations before you plan a visit. First, consider shelling out extra for balcony seats instead of general admission on the floor. By the time we arrived for the opening act at our Isbell show, the floor was completely packed out, leaving limited space to stand in the back corner. We quickly chased down an usher and paid for a balcony upgrade, and were grateful that we did. Unless you get there early enough to get a spot right at the base of the stage, the balcony will generally be a superior option. Also, the food in the basement concession area is lousy, so be sure to eat before you arrive. But the beer and liquor selection was pretty solid, and there are multiple bars on both the floor and the balcony to buy drinks during the show. Finally, figure out where you plan to park (or take MARTA) before you leave your house. The Tabernacle doesn't seem to have a dedicated public lot, but there are dozens of pay surface lots and decks within a couple of blocks. Knowing where you plan to park will make life MUCH easier when you come downtown. The Tabernacle is an Atlanta treasure, and one of the best places in the South to enjoy a live show. If you have a chance to see one of your favorite artists here, don't pass it up.

This is my absolute favorite venu in Atlanta. There isn't a bad seat in the house in terms of view. I recently won standing room tickets to a concert via the radio station. This was my first time on the floor and the view was awesome. The floor seemed slanted so even in the back, I could see very well. Mega-stadiums should take note.

Is it 18+?

I think it depends on the event. For the recent comedy show that I attended there, it was 18+ and 21 & up received a stamp.

Back in the day it was an old church then turned into the "House of Blues" around the time of the Olympics (1996).

We had an 8 pm reservation but ended up getting there early. We were seated 30 minutes early with no problem. I just wish I could remember her name. There are some delicious choices on the menu--meat, seafood, & vegetarian. The drinks were all well done and tasty--from the Old Fashions to the lemons drop to the shot of vodka. Our food came in good time, and every dish was prepared just right. The igloo decor was cute and "wintery" with cozy blankets, a basket of treats and goodies, and a heater. The package included free ice-skating and unlimited games in the rooftop. Our waiter was awesome and very attentive to our needs. However, the experience wasn't comfortable enough for the high price we paid. Even though we had one heater, the igloo was still a bit cold. Also, the heater's cord was short, so we couldn't move much and had to stay right next to it. Maybe adding a second heater and a hot chocolate station in the igloo, along with some music, would make the space feel much cozier and nicer.

This is the same building that houses popular Atlanta restaurant Empire State South on its ground floor. Ever seen the movie The Wolf of Wall Street (2013)? This place reminds me of the scene where Leonardo DiCaprio and Matthew McConaughey had lunch, high above the Manhattan skyline. Video: https://youtu.be/wM6exo00T5I. It's got an old-fashioned, formal, elegant setting; like a nice country club without the golf, tennis, and swimming pool. In other words, it's a city club and it's got some magnificent views of Midtown. There were several beautiful spaces to the club and I believe we had access to them all. The entrance had a coat check and was nicely decorated with wreaths and Christmas nutcrackers. There was a small study in front with an absolutely gorgeous Christmas tree. The main doors led to a bar area with lots of standing and seating room. The bar connected to various dining rooms/spaces (I counted five). Just about every room had terrific views of the city. There was also a covered patio with tables, seating, heat lamps, and illuminated snowflake decor for the holiday season. The patio is the best place to take in the views. Photo: https://www.yelp.com/biz_photos/the-peachtree-club-atlanta?select=C8BsutGj3QGmsegeybIrjA. The patio is located on the north side of the building, so the main view faces north up Peachtree Street towards the PwC tower. One criticism I have about the patio is the coverage wasn't very good. Our party took place on a cold, wet Saturday night (6pm to 10pm) and drops of water were still falling onto us from above. Another small critique I have is there were only two heat lamps for the entire patio and one of them wasn't working (it may have run out of gas). A nice touch I liked was the basket of shawls placed by the patio door in case anyone needed a wrap for warmth. Catering was not provided by a third party, but by the club itself. There were four dinner stations set up inside. Two were manned. I liked how the stations were spread out to avoid crowding issues. I believe the guest list was about 120-130. The bar got pretty crowded during cocktail hour, but spacing was more comfortable once dinner was served. Seating was a bit tight at dinner. The tables were white tablecloth with candles and centerpieces. Here were the stations and menu items: Asian Station - Vegetable fried rice - Chicken sate (satay) with peanut dipping sauce - Thai vegetable noodle bowl - Pork pot stickers with dipping sauce - Fried wontons - Edamame with sea salt Rudolph Riviera (staffed by chef/server) - Crispy garlic bread - Penne pasta with chicken in a garlic cream sauce Under the Christmas Tree (staffed by chef/server) - Bacon-wrapped turkey tenderloin over butternut squash-scented risotto - Sage-crusted pork loin over celery-whipped potatoes - Cranberry chutney Dessert Station - Various cake and brownie bites, tarts, cream puffs, and more In general, I thought the food was OK. The pot stickers and penne pasta were my favorite items. The penne pasta was served out of a cheese wheel for presentation purposes. The noodles at the Asian Station looked more like a pasta dish than a Thai dish. Not really authentic. The noodles were prepared with a coconut sauce. The turkey and pork station was manned by a chef from Italian restaurant Campagnolo, which is located just a couple blocks east of the club. He works as a chef for both Campagnolo and The Peachtree Club. Admittedly, I do think the food I've had from local caterers like Affairs to Remember and Bold American Events has been better. There was an open bar with friendly bartenders. After dinner, there were no servers serving coffee nor was there a coffee station. Instead, coffee was served at the bar, which I thought was interesting (and uncommon, in my experience). In general, I thought all of the staff did a fantastic job, from the managers to the coat check lady. We brought in Cobalt Strings (https://www.yelp.com/biz/cobalt-strings-atlanta) to perform live holiday music. We had this same trio perform at our holiday party last year at the Atlanta History Center. They are that good. The Peachtree Club opened in 1989.

Truly the restoration of this historic landmark is a gift to our community. This Queen Anne Victorian house was built in 1883 by the Peters family--one of the founding families of our city. Know Peters street in Castleberry? Yep that's the same folks. They originally owned 400 acres from Briarcliff and Ponce all the way beyond where GA Tech now stands.
