I've gone to a few concerts here now and love the venue. It's both spacious and not too big at the same time. I prefer a venue like this over a large stadium or arena concert since you can get a lot closer to the artist and see clearly. There's 3 levels total with the bottom level typically being general admission, standing room. There is an ADA section on the side, though, or at least there was at the last corner I went to. Getting in is a breeze. The security people know what they're doing and move everyone along swiftly, so even if there was a line, it would take less than 5 minutes to get through. I've found that every concert or show I've gone to here so far starts pretty much right on time. The music can get very loud in there so I would recommend having some ear plugs. read more

I was here for a concert on Friday night (Ocean Alley) and I really liked the venue. Everything seemed pretty clean and orderly. When I used the bathroom before the show it was in good shape. There are tons of bars here. Looked like multiple on each level, plus they have a rooftop restaurant/bar. My friend and I got spots in the top area where you can sit if you'd like. The concert was pretty full but not sold out I believe- so there was still some space around us. I stood for most of the main performance but sat for small bits of it and still had a great view. Sound quality was great. First performance was a little on the loud side (like... hurt my ears side) but second one (Ocean Alley) was perfect. Lights were awesome but they have a distinct obsession with blinding the audience. Really didn't appreciate that at all honestly. Makes me want to bring sunglasses next time lol Cons: getting in here and leaving were both extremely difficult. The entrance is not facing the street at all. You're pretty much forced to walk around the building and the signage isn't that great. It was difficult to get picked up by our uber. Second con: we hung out for a few mins afterward, waiting for the Uber surge pricing to go down and the staff was super rude. If they were friendly and just had said please make your way to the exit to us, I would've been perfectly okay with that. But instead they were super abrupt and right after the first guy told us and we were walking in the exit direction, another stopped somewhat in front of us and told a group of people "the exits that way." in a super rude tone. So we were basically sandwiched with no where to go and men being rude. That actually pissed me off a great deal looking back on it. Because of those two things, I'm deducting 2 stars. It's important that people can get in and out of here when the show is over and it's also important you treat concert goers with respect. Without those two flaws it would be awesome. read more

Eastern by far is my favorite venue in Atlanta. It's so clean. Entrance process is so efficient. Be sure that everything is sealed! Ventilation is amazing. Its more on the cold side (which is great becuase if you dance a lot like me then you get hot easily) so you might want to bring light jacket. Lighting and lasers incredible. Sound quality top tier. Theres the GA floor standing area at bottom and also sitting area atop where the steps are. The view is amazing everywhere. Security everywhere. Bathrooms located conveniently - stalls arent squished and are maintained well. We never had to wait to get a drink - bar service was quick. I understand drinks are expensive everywhere.. but damn, I got a friend a double patron and it was $47+tip. My friends all got drinks from different bartenders throughout the night and they all pour very light. Wild. I dont really drink and dont usually buy drinks so this doesnt affect me otherwise if I did, id definitely minus a star. read more

I attended the Aly and AJ concert at this venue. I've actually seen quite a few concerts I wanted to attend at this venue and was happy I was able to make this one happen. The venue is very intimate while also being spacious at the same time. There are two levels one is standing room the other has standing areas and back behind that there are seats. I really like the format of the venue because there is no assigned seating everything is first come first served and up to the attendees comfortability. There wasn't food inside the venue that I was aware of but because of where it was located there a quite a few food options around the venue. There were multiple bars inside! read more

This venue is fantastic! Clean, modern, well designed - there's isn't a bad view in the house- with plenty of bars to keep you buzzed. HOWEVER, be warned! It's absolutely freezing inside! Mark and I came here on Thursday night for the Washed Out concert. This was our first time visiting this venue and we loved it! We enjoyed dining on the rooftop and the food and drinks were very good. It's a covered area with ceiling fans plus large televisions that allow you to watch the concert live. Despite the brutal heat the rooftop was comfortable. The seating area is open and we tucked ourselves into a stepped area with large deep steps that double as seating. Patrons can either choose to sit or stand and mingle in spacious areas in the venue. Food and bar staff are friendly and efficient. Bathrooms are clean and spacious without any waiting times. We love this venue and look forward to attending future events here. One thing to note is that the venue doesn't own the adjacent parking deck or street spaces. We arrived early and noticed that Park Mobile is the vendor that controls the surface parking areas around the venue. We arrived at 645pm and the dynamic pricing model that Park Mobile utilizes had put a rate of $35.75 for a street space. This is an insane price especially if you're only there to patronize one of the attached restaurants. The car in front of us was being booted and I asked the attendant if this pricing is typical and he informed me that it can go up to $55!! The Park Mobile app forces these prices based on demand. Next time we will use Uber. read more

The venue was one of the most organized concerts I have been too. There is a parking garage directly adjacent to the Eastern. There were signs which helped to know which line to enter : quick pass or regular. We waited approximately 5 hours before the doors opened. There is a restaurant (Small Fries ) as well as restrooms. The venue also provided free water outside as well as during concert. When doors opened everyone had to pass metal detectors. Inside was nice and cold. There are multiple levels providing great views for all. Inside you could also get alcohol as well as outside restaurant. Staff was quick to respond to any emergency situations such as people passing out in crowd. One of best venues I have attended. read more

First time going here for a concert 12/28/2024. State of the Art venue. The show was great. I went here to go see Jeezy Playlist Concert All Black Affair. My bro saw Jeezy years ago in a club in Macon GA. This was my first time seeing him perform! The only thing that was like eeh was the parking deck. The first level you are good if you go on the 2nd or 3rd floor you have to wait for a gate to get unlocked to leave. Idk whether they were trying to clear the first level and was done by the parking company. read more

One of my favorite British bands was only playing a few dates on the East Coast so we got tickets and came to Atlanta. The surrounding area is not conducive to a lot of nightlife/parking. We ended up in a deck, had trouble getting cell service, but managed to pay an exorbitant fee. The venue itself seems great for music, with a floor area to stand and raised areas to sit. The venue is small enough that you're only very close to the artists. We got a beer and water and enjoyed the show. Most of the guests were fine but a few insisted on standing right in front of us at the railing even though we were clearly seated before they got there. There is also a rooftop bar with TV monitor to see the show and they serve light fare. I'd go back but would try to find other parking or transportation options next time. read more

One visit made this my new favorite venue. The staff is stellar!! As a person with a disability, new venues can be intimidating. Upon arrival, we got a little turned around and were pointed in the direction of the entrance. When we got there, we saw a LOT of stairs. A quick ask, and staff guided us to a more accessible entrance. They were so patient and kind and showed us all the spots we needed to know for accessibility inside the venue including the elevator. They even made sure our seats were ok. This place is exceptionally clean. I love that there are multiple bars in multiple areas. The bartenders made great drinks and I felt the prices were fair. One of the things I liked the most were the rails on every row where you could set your drinks. I've already bought tickets to another show. Well done, The Eastern! read more

A great venue! Friendly, efficient staff. Clean and well organized. The acoustics were perfect for the show I saw here recently. Lots of standing room to catch the show near the stage and upper levels for those who prefer a bit of space + distance. A bar on every level, each fully stocked (if pricey, but that's standard for this type of venue pretty much everywhere in the country now). I didn't spot a bathroom on the main floor but they are on the other levels. There's a parking garage nearby if you need it. Not a lot of places open late after a show here, at least not within walking distance and the bar appears to have a hard cutoff prior to the show ending, so uber to a last call spot if that's your thing. read more

Great venue for shows! Super clean! Best security! The rooftop has food and a view of the sunset (plus a large screen for viewing the concert or pre show) We've been to a few shows here since we live nearby and there is never a bad seat ... standing room is everywhere - not just on the floor - and there are large cement " stairs "  in the back where you can lounge and still have a great view. The bars are aplenty ... non alcoholic drinks are like $4 but there are water fountains in two locations with filtered water if you have a cup. Just saying - the dancing can bring on a thirst. Security had been lax at prior shows but was great recently... the vaping and smoking on the floor was ignored but now the security folks send the offenders to the roof ... easy as that. Have not tried the food but looked decent ... Oh and restrooms are everywhere and clean!!! read more

First, the bad. Only one thing, but it's a biggie. The seats SUCK. Folding seats made from flimsy wood. If you weigh over 170 your butt is going to overflow the seat. They look like they were made for elementary school students. Now on to the good. Not a bad seat in the house. Great views from everywhere. Good acoustics also. Plenty of bars to quench your thirst. We had a bite at the Rooftop restaurant before the show. The food was reasonable priced, and you get free refills on sodas. The only bad part was that it was outdoors and at 6pm the full heat of the sun was bearing down on you since it is open facing the west. It wasn't too bad sitting on the east side, but by 6:45 our legs were definitely getting warm as the sun slipped below the roof and the shade moved off of us. Overall, a pretty nice place to see a show. read more

amazing venue. it was definitely the best i've been to. of course there's always random old men who are under the influence at every concert, but everyone was surprisingly respectful, minded their space and let you through. i wasn't super overwhelmed or crowded and the audience enjoyed themselves while also being tame. the sound quality was great, mike doughty put on an amazing performance. it has a rooftop with a restaurant (way too expensive) and a screen to see the concert if you get overstimulated and need some fresh air. plus it's honestly a great view no matter how close or far you are, and much bigger than it looks kind of sucked that the general admission was standing room only but it is what it is! a few of the staff are a bit pushy/rude which is strange because i'm obviously a teenager and there's no need to act that way toward me for being confused. they also don't allow you to bring drinks if you leave early so we had to throw out a full gingerale that we had just paid for. bathrooms and merchandise are easily accessible! read more

I actually think this might have become one of my favorite concert venues. There isn't a bad place to see the show, you can comfortably be in the hirer levels, or make your way down to the floor. It is a great set up. I don't think they serve food, at least I didn't see a menu anywhere but I did see a guy walking around with tacos so maybe they had it or maybe he brought it in. They have 2 bars on the main level and the top floor, and a HUGE bar behind the sound area on the floor, full bar with quick service - and they will give you ear plugs. Street parking isn't an option here but the parking garage can charge between $20-30 a show (according to the sign) the one I went to was $25 to park and I'm not sure why they would switch it up but they do. CARD ONLY. The merch booth was on the floor level for the show I was at, not sure if it will always be there - it's kinda hidden. read more

My first time visiting was for the ForbesBLK Summit. I'm an avid concert goer and never heard of this venue. Ideal for a smaller scale music concert. The floor can easily serve as an open dance floor or seating with removable chairs. We had lunch outside at the pasture. New and very clean venue and not beat up looking. Posters announced a diverse concert line up. Parking is available on the street for free or a short walk from the Atlanta Dairies. I selected the garage. Parking on the bottom row can be paid via the app (I think this is cheaper than if you get a ticket from the machine). The staff were friendly. I would checkout this venue again. read more

I recently attended the Crosses show here. I've been to most of the venues around Atlanta but this was the first time I had been here. The Eastern has a slated capacity of 2200 but it seems much more spacious compared to the venues I've attended that hold that magical 2k-3k number. There are various options for seating here. There's a spacious upstairs full of seats. The downstairs has options to put seats out or to be standing room only. It's likely up to the performing act on which way they want to go. It reminds me a little of the Ryman in Nashville... but more modern and spacious. (And without those pews!). They also have a rooftop bar with food. That's a nice addition if you have time and you're starving. The sound was great. One of the better smaller venues I've been in for sure. That could've been the chill music from the likes of super professionals Chino Moreno(Deftones) and Shaun Lopez(Far). I need to keep an eye on their calendar and attend a smaller act's show. Big fan of this venue! I'll not hesitate to buy tickets here. read more

They scratched the vape rule and the sound here has improved greatly. It's now one of my favorite venues in ATL. They over sold one show and at intermission they stopped letting people down to the main floor which caused havoc and friends to get separated. The bar was quick to access and had multiple bars spread throughout the venue, so grabbing a drink is easy. This is a location that you should Uber to. You can be down on the floor for a traditional in the crowd experience or you can go upstairs for a standing-with-your-own space area and there's seating! Obviously this place is way overpriced, it's in a newly gentrified area, drinks/tickets are ridiculous etc. I wanted to mention the bad sound, I tend to notice it blowing out often at the shows I've been to. The reason I'm leaving the review, I was moved out of my spot by an employee with long nails just poking one of them into my arm and pushing me where she wanted to go. Blows away the Tabernacle and the City Winery Super views, a myriad of well-placed and well-stocked bars throughout. Friendly staff. Atlanta's newest music venue opened it's doors on 9/1/21. At 37,000 square feet, The Eastern "boasts a multi-tiered floorplan which offers unrivaled sight lines, top of the line sound and lights, spacious floorplan, and rooftop which includes a covered performance space, bar, restaurant and open-air seating." The parking deck has 550 spaces but was full when I arrived. Free, street parking was available. The line to see Leon Bridges was wrapped around the building & it did not move quickly. I was afraid they'd oversold the show but its a large, open space. I felt more crowded in line than inside the venue. Like Terminal West & Variety Playhouse, The Eastern requires all patrons to be vaccinated or have a negative COVID test within 3 days. Security quickly glanced at my vaccine card and then matched it with my ID. No-one wore masks inside. The venue is standing room only & has space for 2,200. There are 3 floors including a main floor (like the Tabernacle) & up above are tiered rows so there are clear views to the stage. There are 2 bars on each floor. On the roof you can order food & watch the artist on the big screen. Big a** ceiling fans were turned on halfway through the show so there was a nice airflow. Leon's vocals were crisp & his moves were smooth. But he was over an hour late, the line was longer than his set & he sang mostly new music. We had to demand an encore one hour in! Not worth $77. Leon aside, I'd recommend The Eastern for music lovers who don't mind long lines or standing during a show. It's first date chic with a rock and roll feel! Although I prefer intimate venues, the bass was thumping & the tiered rows were an added bonus. read more

Pretty good venue! I felt very safe throughout the event! The concert was so extremely loud that it hurt my entire head. I've never been to a concert so loud and it was too much, to the point where you only heard the music and not the artist, not sure if this is the venue's fault or the artist. Also, be sure to buy your merch when you get there because it's downstairs and they won't let you down there once the pit is full. Before the show, the bartender gave us free water as they should, but during the show they made us pay. Overall a nice venue and close enough to see anywhere, just could be run a little better read more

So far, only great experiences at this venue. Size wise reminds me of center stage. Instead of seats everywhere second level (there are a few) they have lots of tiered leaning rails. Pretty easy to get a great visual. Haven't been for a sold out event yet so will be interested to see how it gets when even you have to pack behind people a leaning rail on the upper levels which doesn't seem ideal. (Kind of like left and right sides of variety playhouse) Lots of bars, at least one if not two on every level. Bathrooms on at least first and second (likely also top) floors. Rooftop is open and has tables (serve by number, not wait staff) bar and food. Not a skyline view or anything because of local apartments taller. Zero cell service currently within the building FYI. read more
