I didn't make it to the roof top but I was told it was nice where you could see what was happening inside and there was seating. Sadly they ran out of food quickly but the drinks were flowing and good time was had.

Food sold out in less than 2 hours after the doors opened. They didn't seem prepared for the crowd. There was standing and sitting room. We came for a spoken word event called "Identity", a production of the Story Collider, which cost only $10/adult. This event had 5 scientists get on stage and provide stories of their lives and how science played a part in their self discovery. The Highland Inn Ballroom was an excellent choice for this event. Intimate feel, but enough seats to seat a full room of folks. Small stage, but again, increased intimate feel, adjacent full bar that was active and serving customers throughout the night., and lots of lovely interior to stroll through and photograph. About the only thing I could complain about was that at times the AC didn't appear to be working as well as it could, and it was very warm. Even the warm temperature was addressed Parking for the Highland Inn...I laughed when I saw the lot, because it's "THAT" lot that enforces parking if you're trying to slip in for lunch at a nearby restaurant, including Sweet Auburn BBQ, which is next door. That definitely burns you when you're hungry, but you smile when you're going to the inn, since that parking is yours! From N. Highland Ave, the lot goes down sharply since the lot is on a downward slope, but there is an exit at the bottom of the hill that exits out to Blue Ridge ave. Nice! Staff were friendly, the lounge was good for the event, and this hidden in plain site place is worth checking out.

Attending a book reading and signing event - George Saunders, writer extraordinaire, reading from his latest, "Tenth of December" - might be a different experience than the norm, but I thoroughly enjoyed the funky cool vibe of the space. Plenty of room for 150 people or so to mix and mingle, and the wait for the bar was never long. With a $6 special for well drinks, I was a happy girl. Keep an eye out for future book readings here, usually in partnership with A Cappella Books. For an author you like, it's definitely worth the time and expense. The staff is welcoming and friendly, and will happily call a cab for you at the end of the evening.

It seems to be plenty of seating in the first come first serve spaces. I would say the best way to gauge this is to check their ticketing site to see. If it's Atlanta bs Nola good luck lol. However, if where you were sitting is very important and definitely book a spot. The parking deck surprisingly is free for the first four hours as long as you scan your QR code before leaving. The service is pretty good. They don't have the most extensive menu. I didn't get a chance to take pictures of the hot pepperoni pizza or wings, but I definitely enjoyed the hot pepperoni flatbread. I did get an image of the peach cobbler and it wasn't that great. The peaches tasted off and it wasn't just me because another person in my party also had the peaches and said the same thing. The crust part was good of course the ice cream cause you can't go wrong there. I don't think I would try the cobbler again they need like an old grandma's recipe or something.

Once I saw that The Matrix was being shown at Cosm, I knew I had to go. The Matrix is my husband's…read morefavorite movie, so we got in the car and headed to ATL. First impressions: the parking was a little confusing at first, but once we figured it out, it made was ok. The elevators were pretty slow, so definitely give yourself some extra time, but we made it without an issue. Check-in was really easy. We went through a full-body scan, and were on our way. The Inside was BEAUTIFUL. There were little video displays playing scenes from the movie, and the whole setup really made you feel like you were stepping into a Matrix experience rather than simply going somewhere to watch a movie. The bathrooms were also very clean and nice, which I always appreciate. Everyone I encountered was pleasant and welcoming. The food was really good, and the seats were comfortable. Seating is set up for group seating, almost like a couch at a lounge. Now for the biggest issue for me: the seating setup and noise. The movie area is very open, and you could hear pretty much everything happening around you. You could hear pots and pans, people talking loudly, and staff working in the back. At times, it was honestly pretty distracting. I really wish the kitchen/restaurant area had been downstairs with a small service elevator or another way for staff to bring food up, rather than having the kitchen activity happening so close to the actual movie experience. For a movie like The Matrix, where you really want to be immersed in the film, the background noise made it difficult to stay completely engaged at times. For that reason, I probably wouldn't return for another movie, but I'm genuinely glad I experienced it. The concept is really cool, the atmosphere is beautiful, the staff I encountered were pleasant, and getting to see my husband's favorite movie in such a unique setting made the trip worthwhile.

It was sprinkling when I arrived but the dome kept us dry. This venue also allows you to bring in you own food and drinks. People brought lawn chairs, tables, coolers, and platters of food. This was my first event so I only brought a drink and some chocolate. The comedians were great. I got to see 5 comedians over 2 hours and 15 minutes. Bathrooms are clean as well. They sell food and drinks here as well.

(Ticketmaster & fees) We went to see Musiqsoulchild & Anthony Hamilton. Maybe these arent the type of artist you should see in an outdoor venue. There was no parking at the arena but as I was driving down the road, I saw people parking at the post office across the street. I pulled up on the grass and hopped out my car as others were doing and started walking towards the venue. It was about a five minute walk. Entrance was quick and although there was security on the scene no one checked my bag. There was a vendor that was renting portable fans. Thats a great idea. It was easily 90° and people were lined up to rent a fan. $35 they are rechargeable and I believe I heard one of the vendors say it "should" last the entire concert. There was also someone selling sweer potato pies. I personally cant eat fall/winter foods in the summer but the booth also had a line. There is a set of stairs leading to the lawn. If you want a good view and plan to bring your own chair get there early because the lawn area sits on a slope and by the time I arrived I was behind several rows of people with chairs and sitting on the slope, I had to stop myself and my belongings from sliding down the slope. I brought a blanket and sorta had to squeeze in between all the people in chairs. Ultimately I moved up higher on the slope and it wasn't any better because there were still people in chairs and you couldn't see the stage or jumbotrons if you are sitting on the ground that far back. The audio was HORRIBLE. It wasnt just me, I heard several people in the area I was sitting comment that they couldn't hear the preformers. Thankfully I knew the music so I just rocked to the beat and tried to enjoy myself. They allow you to bring in chairs, food and personal coolers. I also saw some people with wagons but wasn't able to figure out how they got them up the stairs leading to the lawn area. People had portable hookahs and vape pens so it was smokey that far back. I also saw people with fans a little larger than what was being rented. In this regard, you can really make yourself comfortable if you bring everything with you. I left expressing to the group I was with that Im done attending concerts at outdoor venues. This was not a $100 summer concert experience.

Well i ended up here on EDM night and I am a 50-year-old. I tried to escape the "boom boom boom", except they had speakers outside too, so I went on the roof top area, and they were setting a DJ up there too. Not my vibe at all. The bar itself is pretty large, and it actually goes and extends on multiple sides, so the bar is basically double. If you go up to the top, there is a bar there, but the last time I was there it wasn't active. Honestly, the last time I went, I went to get some hot chicken because they have a Nashville hot chicken spot in there. That was my primary reason, but it's still a really good place to go if you want a brew.
