I've been to the Fox theater before for an actual show and I definitely enjoyed my experience there. This time, however I came for a wedding and prior to being invited to this wedding I honestly didn't know that you could even have weddings at the Fox theater. Now that I've experienced it, it's definitely a great venue in my opinion and I would recommend it to anybody that is looking for a wedding venue. So just from the outside, the Fox theater entrance is so beautiful and the wedding couple's picture was displayed there at certain points, which was really cool. They had somebody working there, directing us to where the actual wedding was which I appreciated. The actual wedding venue itself is just really beautiful and logistics wise made sense. I've been to some weddings or big events where if you're not seated in a certain part of the room, you're basically not gonna see anything just due to the columns that are built in the building. I've definitely had my view blocked a couple of times because of being behind a column to where I just couldn't really see the dance floor or what was going on easily. With the way it's built nothing blocks your view at all and again it's just a beautiful venue. Even the floor has like an ancient Egyptian design as well and there was a separate room for the bar and that was spacious and easy to access from the main room. Everything was well lit and just beautiful. I absolutely loved it and if anybody's looking for a wedding venue, I would suggest the Fox theater because as an attendee I really enjoyed myself.

We visited the Fox Theatre in Atlanta for the first time to see the stage production of Elf, and it was a wonderful way to kick off the holiday season. I've always loved the movie with Will Ferrell, and this Broadway‑style version captured the same humor and heart. I found myself laughing throughout the show. The production quality was strong--great pacing, lively performances, and costumes that were colorful, festive, and full of personality. You could tell a lot of care went into bringing this story to life on stage. Our seats, however, were definitely in the "nosebleed" section. The view was fine overall, but it did strain the eyes a bit from that height. Note to self: next time, spring for seats a little closer to the action. One thing that made the experience especially memorable was the audience itself. The theatre was filled with families--lots of children and adults who were fully engaged and applauding throughout. That energy made the show even more special for our little one, who loved being part of such a joyful crowd. Even with the distant seats, I'm glad we went. The Fox Theatre is such a beautiful, historic venue, and the atmosphere always adds something special to the experience. Between the architecture, the energy, and the holiday spirit of the show, it made for a memorable night out. A great production in a stunning venue--just get better seats next time and you're golden.

What a gorgeous piece of history! I visited the Fox Theatre to see Alvin Ailey with my girlfriends and it was such a fantastic experience. As theater nerd and longtime lover of the arts, it's crazy that I hadn't previously visited the Fox but I'm so happy that I finally did. Purchasing tickets online was incredibly easy and the price range was wide enough for ballers and those on a budget. We snagged some great balcony seats with a great view of the stage for under $60. Total win in my opinion. When we arrived, it was a madhouse downtown. It seemed like everyone in the area was going to the show! Parking in the area was an absolute nightmare as the line to park next to the theater was a half dozen cars long and only public lots were available per usual. Once I got to the door, the crowd was ready for the show! Luckily, there were about 4 or 5 lines open for tickets to be checked, meaning there wasn't a long line to get inside. Once inside, the place is massive. There were employees in every corner assisting folks and one of them showed me where I should be headed for my seat. The inside of the theater foyer looked exactly as I imagined. The fabric, the detailing in the architecture, the smell of popcorn, it was just amazing to see and experience. When we went inside, I was blown away by the beautiful ceilings! I can't even describe the beauty. I always want a snack with my shows so I'm happy that there were so many concession stands. They offered things like popcorn, chips, candy, beer/wine, water and soda. I opted for a bottle of water and a big bag of freshly popped popcorn. That popcorn was great! When I visited the theater I was 9 months pregnant and, phew. Walking those stairs was a task but a good little workout for me. When I made my first journey to the restroom I was stopped by an older employee who sweetly scolded me for walking all of those staircases and going to the regular restroom while pregnant, lol. She helped me to the stairs and pointed out the accessible bathrooms to me, telling me to stay off of my feet. So appreciated! We really enjoyed the performance and the entire experience overall. It's so wonderful to have such historical buildings standing tall and still offering such special memories to this amazing city. Can't wait to go back!

One of the most beautiful venues I've ever been to see a live music concert and a broadway play. The Fox is special. When you sit upstairs you feel like you're amongst the stars. I look forward to going to the Fox any chance I get. It's a great area of Midtown with many shops and restaurants as well for a pre show dinner and drinks. Alcohol inside the Fox is pricy. But the experience is second to none.

Went to see the Nutcracker (a Christmas gift to my fiancé--she loved it). We had mobile tickets, took seconds to scan. The ambiance is very cool. The staff seemed to work by assigned zones which worked like clock work. Once we entered we were at our seats very quickly. Intermission was like traffic on 285 at rush hour but they had signs/staff directing the crowds. There is food/snacks/popcorn and drinks (wine/beer). Pricy to me, but eh ‍. I'd also recommend taking an Uber.

I went to the Fox theater for an event and they they did a good job. The organization had the upstairs and downstairs pretty booked so you can go upstairs or downstairs or outside on the patios. They had multiple bars and a lot of little areas to duck off if you wanted to get away from some of the crowd. The service was good, even though the service could have been a little bit better, but to be fair they had a ton of people there so they can only do so much so I have to give them Grace. The facility was clean and the security had everybody organized so I felt safe and everything along those lines was good. I look forward to the next time I get a chance to go.

Visited the Fox Theater and this time I had Marquee Club access. The food was great from Asian Short Ribs and Kimchi Rice to Prosciutto and mixed cheeses and more. All the food was delicious. Natania was our waitress and she was very very pleasant. She answered all of our questions and she explained the flow of the Marquee Club. For dessert we had cheese cake and pecan brownies. Very good too. Enjoying lunch before the matinee was a great experience. I'd definitely recommend this experience. The ambience was extremely loud and crowded. It was the different variety of food options for me.

From start to finish, I had an amazing first time at the Fox. Buying tickets online was a breeze, as well as working with staff who were nice enough to follow up on questions I had via email and telephone prior to the event. If you are a newbie like I was, just know that you have to buy club level seats in order to add on the Marquee Club Day Pass if that is something you are looking to do. You can't just buy a random seat and try to add it on later. There are designated areas that have the automatic add-on when you purchase, so just peruse the seat selections til you find it or call and ask. For people who are already season ticket holders of course or have other memberships, then there are options applicable to them for Marquee Club membership as well. If you want somewhere to chill before and after the show with very little to no wait times for bathrooms, no lines at all for entry and early access to your seat, and access to multiples pay-bars with no lines, as well as great food and drink that come with your purchase, then adding on the Marquee Club, even for a day pass is worth the extra expense. If you cannot stand very long or have pain doing so, I highly recommend this. I skipped all the long lines and got right to an empty, single person bathroom, then right to the lounge to eat. There are 3 levels of the club. I think my favorite was the rooftop lounge as it had beautiful views of Midtown and was not crowded at all. The first level did not have a lot of seating area at first as it was the busiest, but I still found a spot on a corner of a couch to eat and then took my dessert up top. All the staff were so pleasant and hospitable. You really get the service you paid for. The food was excellent, although, the salmon I got was a little cold inside. The Beef Wellington (minis) were pretty underwhelming as there was barely any meat, but it was cool to try for the first time. My favorites of the night were the chicken pot pie with sweet potato biscuits - so good and comforting! And the arancini, not on the menu, but brought out later, were nearly addictive. I went back for extras on those. The dessert was not anything special, but it was nice to have. The macarons were probably my favorite. I did not try the cookies. The red velvet cupcake was definitely on the drier side including the frosting. The elevator was not manned in the Marquee Club but it was for the main, large ones leading up to the show floors. I don't think I have ever been in a manned elevator before. It reminded me of Pretty Woman lol. Even those were not busy as most people crammed down the stairs. Section LRD, seat EE16 was my chair and honestly I would not pick that one again, only because I was right up against a dividing railing, but it was still okay. Just something to note. The seats are not the most comfortable if you are plus sized like me, but if you can make it thru a plane ride, then you'll be okay! I had initially called to see if I could bring a cushion for my back but I am glad I didn't as there would not have been room for it. The venue was packed, but everyone seemed to have a great time. I know I did! Jo Koy even went an extra hour - 2 hours total, since our crowd was showing him such great energy! After the show I was happy to be able to relax back in the club while everyone else scurried out. I called my Uber and had a comfy place to wait it out. Next time I might get a drink, but just know the alcoholic drink prices are like airport prices lol and not included with your MC pass. I highly recommend rideshare if you don't want the hassle of remembering where you parked, having to walk, or paying hefty parking fees. Plus with all the car break-ins in Midtown you might be better off! Overall, it was an awesome Christmas gift to myself and I highly recommend coming to see a show here if you have not yet - a gorgeous venue and amazing staff!

Absolutely loved my visit to Fox Theatre this weekend! Absolutely recommend the Marquee Club!!! It includes unlimited food (heavy hors d'oeuvres, popcorn and desserts, and coke products plus desserts), access to lounge areas with lots of seating, private bars, and bathrooms. The seating for the show was also awesome and the theatre was beautiful and likely recently updated. Loved seeing a show here!

It's always a great experience visiting the Fox Theater, whether it be for shows throughout the year or especially during the Christmas season. Attended a concert this evening and it was great. The staff were well coordinated and had all of the information that they needed, in addition to being adequately staffed for the number of people attending the event. We did not dine or partake of any of the food offerings. But I did see people with popcorn and drinks in hand. I guess the reason that we love the box so much is because it's cozier State Farm arena.

It was my first time (finally) going to the Fox. I went to see " A Conversation with Larry David". I parked down the street at the Bank of America building, which was only a block and a half of a walk to the theater (this matters especially if you're wearing heels). The theater was absolutely beautiful. The concession personnel, and the greeters were all very friendly, welcoming and patient. Speaking of concession, the prices for food and drinks were very reasonable! I ordered tequila with pineapple juice, a small popcorn, and m&m peanuts, and didn't spend over $30! Another great perk of the theater was the seating layout. I felt like you had a good view no matter where you sat. It was agood experience for my first show, and I look forward to my second. Sidenote: (I was unaware of this rule upon entering the theater) but large purses are not allowed, they allow small purses only, just a FYI :)

First timer and we loved it! It has some downsides, stairs, older seats etc,due to its age, but the main auditorium is beautiful and a visual experience. We sat in the lower balcony but it doesn't appear to have a bad seat in the house. Definitely a great place to see your favorite artist or catch a show.

    Eileen T.

Wow! This place is incredible. It's huge and there's a lot of climbing stairs if you're way up in the balcony (they do have elevators). Everything was run very smoothly. They opened doors promptly, there were concessions on every for as well as bathrooms which were very clean. The show started about 15 minutes late but that may not have been the theater's fault. They do have a policy where if you arrive late they will make you wait so get there early because it's incredibly rude to others who arrived on time. The sound was great and the ushers friendly.

Do the bars/concessions accept credit cards inside The Fox Theater? Or are they cash only? Can't find any information about this on their website or on Google. Thanks.

First time at Fox Theatre. Our seats are MAIN ORCH LC Row B 51-55. Will we have a good view and not be too far back? It's difficult to decipher on the seat map.

What happens if you loose your tickets for a show at the Fox?

Most probably they could re print it for you. But you should call

    How much is parking?

It depends on the day and what events are happening around the area, specifically at the Fox.

Was the premiere of Gone with the Wind at the Fox?

No - "Gone with the Wind" premiered at the now-demolished Loew's Theater, not the Fox.

Where is the best place to park?

There is a parking garage immediately to the north of the Fox and also on the block corner to the south of the Fox. However, these fill up very quickly, and I'd recommend either walking form the nearby MARTA station or taking a ride share.

I am deciding between orchestra Z with seats all the way to the right and first dress circle in the balcony. Does anyone recommend either section?

    First dress circle.

Maybe adding a second heater and a hot chocolate station in the igloo, along with some music, would make the space feel much cozier and nicer.

This is the same building that houses popular Atlanta restaurant Empire State South on its ground floor. Ever seen the movie The Wolf of Wall Street (2013)? This place reminds me of the scene where Leonardo DiCaprio and Matthew McConaughey had lunch, high above the Manhattan skyline. Video: https://youtu.be/wM6exo00T5I. It's got an old-fashioned, formal, elegant setting; like a nice country club without the golf, tennis, and swimming pool. In other words, it's a city club and it's got some magnificent views of Midtown. There were several beautiful spaces to the club and I believe we had access to them all. The entrance had a coat check and was nicely decorated with wreaths and Christmas nutcrackers. There was a small study in front with an absolutely gorgeous Christmas tree. The main doors led to a bar area with lots of standing and seating room. The bar connected to various dining rooms/spaces (I counted five). Just about every room had terrific views of the city. There was also a covered patio with tables, seating, heat lamps, and illuminated snowflake decor for the holiday season. The patio is the best place to take in the views. Photo: https://www.yelp.com/biz_photos/the-peachtree-club-atlanta?select=C8BsutGj3QGmsegeybIrjA. The patio is located on the north side of the building, so the main view faces north up Peachtree Street towards the PwC tower. One criticism I have about the patio is the coverage wasn't very good. Our party took place on a cold, wet Saturday night (6pm to 10pm) and drops of water were still falling onto us from above. Another small critique I have is there were only two heat lamps for the entire patio and one of them wasn't working (it may have run out of gas). A nice touch I liked was the basket of shawls placed by the patio door in case anyone needed a wrap for warmth. Catering was not provided by a third party, but by the club itself. There were four dinner stations set up inside. Two were manned. I liked how the stations were spread out to avoid crowding issues. I believe the guest list was about 120-130. The bar got pretty crowded during cocktail hour, but spacing was more comfortable once dinner was served. Seating was a bit tight at dinner. The tables were white tablecloth with candles and centerpieces. Here were the stations and menu items: Asian Station - Vegetable fried rice - Chicken sate (satay) with peanut dipping sauce - Thai vegetable noodle bowl - Pork pot stickers with dipping sauce - Fried wontons - Edamame with sea salt Rudolph Riviera (staffed by chef/server) - Crispy garlic bread - Penne pasta with chicken in a garlic cream sauce Under the Christmas Tree (staffed by chef/server) - Bacon-wrapped turkey tenderloin over butternut squash-scented risotto - Sage-crusted pork loin over celery-whipped potatoes - Cranberry chutney Dessert Station - Various cake and brownie bites, tarts, cream puffs, and more In general, I thought the food was OK. The pot stickers and penne pasta were my favorite items. The penne pasta was served out of a cheese wheel for presentation purposes. The noodles at the Asian Station looked more like a pasta dish than a Thai dish. Not really authentic. The noodles were prepared with a coconut sauce. The turkey and pork station was manned by a chef from Italian restaurant Campagnolo, which is located just a couple blocks east of the club. He works as a chef for both Campagnolo and The Peachtree Club. Admittedly, I do think the food I've had from local caterers like Affairs to Remember and Bold American Events has been better. There was an open bar with friendly bartenders. After dinner, there were no servers serving coffee nor was there a coffee station. Instead, coffee was served at the bar, which I thought was interesting (and uncommon, in my experience). In general, I thought all of the staff did a fantastic job, from the managers to the coat check lady. We brought in Cobalt Strings (https://www.yelp.com/biz/cobalt-strings-atlanta) to perform live holiday music. We had this same trio perform at our holiday party last year at the Atlanta History Center. They are that good. The Peachtree Club opened in 1989.

Truly the restoration of this historic landmark is a gift to our community. This Queen Anne Victorian house was built in 1883 by the Peters family--one of the founding families of our city. Know Peters street in Castleberry? Yep that's the same folks. They originally owned 400 acres from Briarcliff and Ponce all the way beyond where GA Tech now stands. In fact, the family donated the land that the campus was original built upon. They also donated the land for Morris Brown and the first baseball field for the Atlantans. The home is filled with beautiful detail. This is no cookie cutter McMansion. Every room is filled with unique features. The college will use the space for its Professional Writing program and will bring scholars, authors and journalists to speak and give workshops--many that will be open to the public. Visit the website often to see the free events coming up. In the Spring expect outdoor concerts in the lovely gardens. The home will be available for rentals for corporate meetings and the like.

I have noting to do with SCAD or Ivy Hall but have long admired the house on the hill. I never…read morewent to The Mansion to eat and I regret that. Once I saw the renovation in progress I decided that I need to know more. It took some time but eventually I decided I had to see the place. I have been doing some Friday outings as mini-tweet-ups and this seemed perfect. The folks at SCAD were very gracious and responsive and I easily set a tour for Fri Dec 11, 2009. The result was an outstanding experience and we were knocked out with the work that's been done. This tour can be seen in video on my site at http://www.pro1pr.com/ivy-hall-atl-mini-tweetup I highly recommend you see for yourself. Contact them and see when the next public event will be held and get going. If you're looking to become a designer then I'd say you are in business!

Virtue Rooftop is a whole mood on a Tuesday. I touched down for the "Jazz on the Rooftop" session,…read moreand the live saxophonist was definitely the highlight--sliding through covers and originals with the kind of ease that makes a date night feel effortless. The spot is huge with plenty of indoor and outdoor seating, so you aren't cramped while trying to catch a vibe. The 1000 Masks cocktail was smooth and balanced, avoiding the sugar-trap I expected from the blueberry syrup. We started with the Yuca Parmesan Truffle Fries--solid crunch and the truffle wasn't aggressive--and the Togarashi Tempura Veggies, which were light and crispy. I went with the 5Church Lamb Burger Sliders for the main; the gorgonzola fondue and red onion marmalade combo was a heavy hitter, though the lemon-dressed arugula kept it grounded. The food was a solid, reliable choice--nothing that'll change your life, but definitely tasty enough to keep you satisfied while the music does its thing. If you want a laid-back, intentional atmosphere without the extra noise, this is the move.

Beautiful views, but the service and the food left much to be desired…read more I ordered chicken skewers, 2 mocktails, artichoke dip, and yucca fries. The chicken skewers took forever to come out. You only get two of them, and they are served over a bed of mixed greens. They lacked seasoning and flavor. The artichoke dip was extremely oily and had a very strange texture--it was thick and spreadable. The pita bread tasted old and stale. asked for a fork and the waitress forgot. When she brought my fries, she realized that she never brought the fork, and still didn't bring it. I ordered yucca fries, but she brought regular fries. The mocktails were served in these foggy old cups. Even the customer next to me commented on her own cup and said it looked like someone had drank from it. They add 20% gratuity to ALL bills--I was by myself and it was still added. 5 Church is pretty good, but this place was not at all. I paid 65 dollars for my meal, which was absolutely not worth it, given the quality and service of my experience. Looks good for IG but I won't be coming back to this rooftop.
