Long wait times and I got a call back in 2 days which never happened. The final straw was they removed Bay Area Sports Station (720 on my channel lineup) to their new premium package, I sat down to watch the Warriors off my DVR a couple of week ago and like no program on. Got a message that it requires an upgrade to the new premium package. WTF? It's $35 more dollars a month. So, that puts my monthly bill at a new high level. Nope! So, after 35 years, I cancelled my entire Comcast service. I now have AT&T fiber optic for the internet and am happy to be using You Tube TV for all my favorite programs and channels (oh yeah, you can pick and choose on You Tube TV exactly what channel you want. Like Comcast made me pay for the Chinese Channel, Telemundo, QVC and a hundred other channels that I never watched). Love the You Tube TV interface. Has unlimited DVR in the cloud. Fast forward function works well to skip the commercials. And, I am paying about $100 less a month than the Comcast service. I went directly into the Xfinity office to make the change as you will most likely never get a live person on the phone. Run, don't walk, and get rid of Comcast. They will not be in business in 5 years anyway.

They must have laid off most of their support because literally no one picks up the phone or responds. When things are working smoothly, everything is great. When they aren't, expect ZERO customer service. You call them, you get voicemail. You leave a VM, they don't call you back. You email them, do not expect a response. Do you have an important Zoom meeting or classes your kids are missing? They could care less. You can email, call, tweet, text and NONE of it matters. No explanation regarding multiple outages, intermittent service, low speed, no internet. They will fix it when they fix it and not care about calling you back, apologizing, or bothering with your concerns.

He didn't acknowledge that I was already being helped or excuse himself--he just left mid-conversation. It felt very dismissive and rude. On top of that, the store was extremely loud and felt unorganized, which made the experience even more frustrating. I ended up walking out because I didn't feel valued as a customer. Basic courtesy and communication go a long way, and this experience fell short.

The disruptions are frequent and too many times have made my home server unreachable while traveling. Most of the time the service resumes, but on occasion I've had to have a neighbor or relative enter my home and reset the connection for me. Super effing inconvenient! Also, there is no roadmap for connections faster than 1 Gigabit, even while even more worthless competitors like Xfinity and AT&T offer 2.5 and even 5 Gigabit. And lastly, they increased their rates a few months ago. They offered a discount if you paid for a year in advance, but offered no way to do that online. It wasn't until I contacted customer service, that they gave me the details of how to do so: by writing a physical check and sending it to a physical address, no ACH or Credit Card options (which are available to those who pay monthly). Like, I'm boomer AF, so I still have a few checks laying around, but who else in 2025 still has a checkbook? When it works, I'm grateful, but internet service is binary. I just need it to work. Always. And it doesn't. End of story.

Moises, the installer, arrived on time and did the entire installation himself in about 4 hours. He first set up a temporary antenna to check the download and upload speeds. Our speed was even better than what they had quoted. Once the antenna was set up on our roof, a cable is then connected to an outlet in our house. Once we set up our routers, everything worked seamlessly. Moises didn't leave until we confirmed that all of our devices were connected.
