Then one day, all of the sudden they stopped having the great kind of dress shoes especially occasion shoes and my size. I'm very tall. So I noticed that but I continue to shop their clothes and then one day they stop selling my favorite brand. After a couple of months I was able to ask someone about that she said she didn't know why they stop selling that brand but she had been waiting for some herself and they just stopped sending it. Okay so I continue to shop and I just noticed more boring clothes coming in and clothes that I just wouldn't buy so I will come there on occasion and a couple of times I went there and I ran into someone I knew so although I only bought one item I got to see my old friend. Then I went there and the only thing you could really buy is a purse and I didn't come all the way over there just to buy a purse. I wanted to buy some clothes. I noticed that they started selling more household items and things like that which is okay but I never got the kind of jeans I was looking for tops or dresses in my size and then they put my size all the way in the back and it's only one hanger thing I don't remember what they called but you can push it around and that's was only available for my size. So if I ever do come here again it will be to buy a purse and some earrings and they will be overpriced

Daiso, Alameda (South Shore Center)…read more I've been here many times, the staff are awesome and friendly. This Daiso location has a lot of stuff but it's very small, it's a very tight squeeze when you're trying to walk past people. The prices for their items has gone up over the years. Like all Daiso locations, there's no return or exchange. All sales are final. Highly recommend to buy school supplies and some Sanrio, Hello Kitty stuff.

If you haven't, it's a store with lots of cute discount items from Asia. There are games, toys, plushies, cute stationary, and lots of snacks. There's also household items that are attractive, but I question their durability. There are lots of gadgets that are sometimes hard to resist. This location is very convenient, near lots of food places and stores. There's plenty of parking, and the area is nice. They have self-checkout, as well as someone at the register. It's a nice place to browse and maybe walk out with a new gadget you didn't know you needed.

Buyer BEWARE!! I inquired about a dress shirt that they have. I was willing to buy all the colors…read morethey have if they had my size. Through out a 10 year span I have purchased over 40+ Marquis dress shirt and I am familiar with the MSRP price and the mark up. It ranges from $27-$30 and that's already with a 60% mark up factored in. The lady was trying to rip me off when she saw I was willing to buy. She was brought out 4 shirts and stated she had more colors in the back. I inquired about the price because the dress shirts had no price sticker/tag on them. She stated $50. I showed her the price from 3 competitors and Amazon and said I was willing to pay $40 ( Tax included ) since i was already there and she said no. I know it's a mom n pop shop and they are trying to make a profit and I support independently owned/ small businesses. I understand maybe a $5-$7 mark up but $20? That's insane. Your making people not want to shop at stores like yours and you wonder why you don't have business. So before you buy at this store check the prices online. I hate to say it.

I actually like the Dollar Tree and get my hand wash, body lotion and sometimes even body wash…read morethere for cheap. You know expensive that stuff is now at Safeway? I hate living in world where it's expensive to wash my behind. Dollar tree stuff ain't bad. This is also where I got to get my candy and snacks before a movie, because I'm not paying $7 for a box of milk duds at the theater, I'm paying $1.25 at the dollar tree and treating myself to some Wiley wallaby's watermelon licorice while I'm at it! Another hidden gem here is the freeze dried Strawberries, which are expensive at other places and great for baking and making strawberry flavored desserts (blend them up and add them into your frosting, trust me.) Also, cards! They have a large selection of cards! Again, for cheap!! Sometimes the lines be long. There has to be a trade off I guess. They try to have multiple lines open when it's busy but sometimes it's real busy. The staff is always pretty friendly though!

I got a good deal at the Alameda Dollar Tree!…read more I bought 4 photo frames for $1.25 each. That's 4 for $5. Nothing fancy, just a plastic frame and clear piece of plastic. Stand it up or hang it on the wall. But the important thing is.....I got a bargain at Dollar Tree! I was there at 5pm on a Sunday. It's a medium sized store with a variety of items. Everything from greeting cards to food. There's coolers in the back, and $1.25 cleaning equipment. I like to shop here when I'm doing a big cleaning job, and I'll probably just use the scrub pads once and toss them afterwards. Cashier was friendly and moved the line quickly. Dollar Tree is in the Park St Landing shopping plaza, at Park St x Blanding. Free Parking

The prices are outrageous. The top I like was around $80. If you look closely I believe it was 40% off. It wasn't really clear how much it was. Either way it is out of my price range as it wasn't a die for item to add to my wardrobe. Most everything is 40% off, or so it appears. Some items are price as marked. There was a sales associate walking around asking if you needed assistance. That was a nice touch. Items are made for the Factory Outlet. These are not sold in their regular store so if you are looking for mark downs from their regular store you're looking in the wrong place. We purchased a girlfriend crew neck tee. Regular $34.50 on sale for $17.25. At another store $17.25 would be regular price so the prices aren't that great. The good thing is we found what we are looking for and they had it in a variety of sizes. Overall if you are looking for lower quality clothing that is a speciality item to an outlet you are looking in the right place. If you find what your are looking for it's a win. We found what we were looking for so this was a successful shopping trip.

I decided that yesterday would be a good day to especially because I was accompanied by my little sister who was new to the area. I go in right away they take glances at me as I look at the items and I see what they have. There was an old lady and another girl. As I'm walking through the store the old lady doesn't say anything but continues to stare. She then tells me that to walk around the store I must leave my little sisters back pack and my purse on a cart. What bothered me is that my partner has had a similar experience of hostility. Almost like the lady thinks we don't have the money to shop there and we'll steal something. I was considering buying an item from them but after that experience I will not see myself in there. It's a place of racism and discrimination, especially when others that go in that are white don't have that same experience.

I asked an older female employee if I could use the restroom prior to checking out and she said "no" that the restroom was closed for the evening for customers and told me to walk across the parking lot to the Safeway. Note that it was raining at the time. This was extremely unprofessional, and we left without purchasing any items and will not be returning. I would have been a paying paying customer and there is no reason unless it was out of service that I should Not have been allowed to use the restroom that is designated for customers. They even had the restroom area barricaded so you could not get to it. The female employee did not say the restrooms were broken she simply said they were closed for the evening, Yet they were open for at least another hour. I hope Management addresses this matter. I understand having to monitor the restrooms in stores due to People that misuse them but that's not me. I should Not be prohibited because of those that do. I am very Disappointed with Michael's in Alameda as this has not been an issue in any of the other Michael's I frequent.
