T-Buds Tea Lounge is a charming tea shop in the Yonge and Lawrence area, focusing on high tea and afternoon tea. This lovely hidden gem provides an affordable and high-quality afternoon tea- high tea experience in a cozy, welcoming atmosphere, along with an impressive selection of over 60 loose leaf teas for tea enthusiasts to enjoy. They even got the spotlight in the Toronto Star as Best Budget-friendly and one of the '6 Best Tea Spots' in the city! Their menu offers a delightful selection of traditional and signature Afternoon Tea and High Tea options, featuring fresh finger sandwiches, scones, and pastries. Enjoy savory mushroom-filled crispy pastries, mini quiches, layered Waldorf salad with flavored whipped cream, mini cottage pies with aromatic ground beef and mashed potato, macarons, mini pavlovas, a flute or sparkling tea and so much more! They are located on the 2nd floor and unfortunately, this place is not wheelchair accessible.

I had a great experience here for afternoon tea with a friend. The calming interior was inviting and the service was very pleasant. I tried the Tea Tiffins, which included an assortment of sandwiches and pastries. I can't recall a standout from the bunch because they were all great! I tried their comfort tea, which had a nice blend of different classic tea flavours. Compared to my previous experience for Afternoon tea at Lauduree, I'd say this was far superior across the board!

Afternoon tea at T-Buds was a lovely experience! We brought the whole family to enjoy high tea and I was not disappointed. The tea menu is limited compared to other places I've visited, however their selection is good and I loved both the black teas that I tasted. The tea sandwiches were especially delicious, and I love that everything was halal! Service was slow, however, and so I would caution anyone on a tight schedule. It may have just been that particular day. Also, it's worth noting that you must be able to climb stairs to get to the dining area. Overall, I do recommend this spot.

This is a very unassuming place for afternoon tea. Located upstairs (not handicap friendly) of a soon to be chicken restaurant it has less than a dozen tables. If you are used to high tea at one of the big hotels you may be slightly disappointed at the environment. Good selection of teas and a decent selection of sandwiches and scones grouped into 'packages'. Each grouped selection comes with a selection of savoury sandwiches and scones. Additional items can be added on a la carte. Sandwiches and scones were okay, nothing remarkable. Service was decent. Because of the size of the place there is one unisex restroom which doubles as the employees change room, again this is not a big place! We arrived at noon on a Sunday and an hour later they were full! This is our second time here and it's a nice option for tea if you don't want to head to someplace else that might be more formal or traditional. We stayed 2 hours and did not feel rushed.

The classic afternoon tea menu ($38) begins with a hot pot of tea selected from an extensive two-page listing. I stick with a traditional black tea that allows me to include a splash of oat milk into it without drowning out the tea flavours. If you're waiting on a guest, look through their tea descriptions. Someone poetic crafted them; such the description of how black Ceylon spring valley tea leaves are created through "warm sunshine following tropical monsoons with cold nights". As the tea tower is prepared, a two-bite leek quiche and simple caprese salad tie us over. If you're the type of person who skips breakfast and lunch before heading to afternoon tea, you'll appreciate these pre-tea light bites. However, if you're like me and never skip a meal, I'd forgo the microwave re-heated quiche to save room for Tbuds amazing scones. They have a lovely crispy crust that breaks easily to reveal a soft fluffy centre and aren't overly sweet so you can slather it with mascarpone cream and jam. Too bad they are so stingy with the condiments, providing enough for two scones at most. In fact, if anything we need more of the mascarpone cream as it's lighter and less buttery than traditional clotted cream. Their sandwiches each incorporates an herb and a creamy element. We loved them all: the egg salad is enhanced with a bit of chives, the cucumber sandwich is sliced paper thin and uses an herbed cream cheese, the curried chicken includes a refreshing chutney, and even the sun-dried tomato and cheddar combination surprisingly works. With six sandwiches to a person, it makes for a filling meal. The tower is capped off with fresh soft macarons that have a vibrant fruity flavour and luscious cream. The other petit fours - a fruit tart and ultra-decadent salted chocolate square - are less impressive but nonetheless decent.

I would call this place adequate, nothing spectacular, but nothing overly disappointing. They have a large selection which is nice and is looseleaf. The appetizer had caramelized onions, goat cheese in a tart. They had fairly tasty and substantial sized sandwiches. The desserts were a bit unimpressive and feel as though they are from the grocery store. Was an overall nice experience, with friendly staff. Would come if I lived close by in the area. The only downside (which can count for alot) is the vibe. It is not fancy or special feeling. If you want something that feels like a special occasion or want to feel like you are somewhere in british english style or with fine china or dainty tea room... it is not for you. The environment is very lack luster and the bathroom feels like a gas station washroom. The food is great, but the vibes could be better.

I'm a huge fan of afternoon tea~ usually I love going for dine in service but sometimes I like to get it to go as well. Craving afternoon tea to go? t-buds have some amazing ready to go afternoon tea boxes that travel so well! They have a variety of sandwiches, scrone are pretty fluffy, macarons texture was on point and also loved the cream of Earl grey tea! You can order for same day or future pick up and they also deliver and can also cater for events as well!

I went here on a Saturday afternoon. It was not busy that day. I got a tea tiffin high tea package and mango herbal tea. The scones were moist. They had blueberry and regular scones. They also serve sandwiches and tarts. The finger food was delicious and vegan friendly. The service was prompt and fast. The decor is relaxing. Note this place is on the upper level so you have to take stairs.

It's a 2-star experience, with 3 stars on the food quality and only 1 star for hostness. My usual go-to high tea place, the afterqueen tea shop were closed on Tuesdays so I was looking for alternative venues. There was a 20% off yelp offer poping up for Tbuds. However, when we went in and showed them the offer, the owner refused to redeem it. They were saying it was a promotion half a year ago. This was a dishonest way to attract customers with long expired yelp offers posted! They had quite some varieties on tea selections. I got one of their fruity tea which tasted like water. For food, we got the beforenoon tea and classic afternoon tea to share. The beforenoon tea covered varieties of savoury and sweet selections including mini smoked salmon bagel, fried egg, chicken sausage, potatoes, mini quiche, crossiant with cheese and apple, cinnamon roll, waffles and yogurt parfait. In spite of the varieties, the food was mediocre. The brie cheese, crossiant bread and bagel were extremely hard and served with too cold. Flavour of smoked salmon was okay. Quiche was served cold as well, which was not bearable. The classic afternoon tea provided less food than the beforenoon tea at a higher price. It included quiche and salad, six finger sandwiches, two pieces of scones, macaron, a few pieces of fruits and a chocolate dessert. The macaron was so hard. I felt like I was chewing a piece of rock. The skin of the quiche was too thick with insufficient stuffings inside. The vegetarian sandwiches were okay, especially the tomato and cheddsr cheese sandwich. The roast beef tasted old. The flavour of the curry chicken was not delicate. The skin of the tuna roll was too thick. I would not consider revisiting this venue any time soon considering the dishonesty of the business owner and the mediocre quality of food.

AMAZING value for the price. I would highly recommend the brunch deals here. Each of the items includes a pot of tea, generally for a total of under $10. I came with two of my girlfriends. I ordered the Fairlawn Favourite (crepe with smoked turkey, swiss cheese and a large omega-3 egg) with mango lemon fruit infusion tea. The other two both ordered Toast of Snowdon (spiced french toast served with fresh berries, mascarpone cream and maple syrup), with oolong vanilla tea and black cocoa caramel tea. I think the fruit tea was my favourite, as the flavours of the other two weren't as apparent. Service was ok - they forgot to give us any milk or sugar when our teas first came on. We then asked for sugar, and it didn't seem to occur to the waiter that he had forgotten milk as well. It was relatively empty throughout our stay, as it was a weekday afternoon. However, I would love to come back and try their desserts.

A certain yelper sent me to The Uptown Tea Lounge which was just opened for less than 2 weeks prior to my visit... Everything here is clean and fresh...and the staffs are super nice. Tea selections wise is decent... most of the teas are priced from $5 to $15 for 50 gram. The nice thing about The Uptown Tea Lounge is they are selling sample scoop package so you can just have a taste and those are great for stocking stuffers for your tea loving friends! (someone reading this?) For staying in to enjoy a pot of tea... they are starting from $5 per pot... served brewing in one of those Teaze tea infuser- made with medical grade Eastman Trita. The good thing is of course you can smell every single type of tea before you order! :) I like the detail descriptions of all the tea in their menu so great if you are a tea novice. The staffs here are really friendly too and trying to give you some suggestions. I ordered Oolong Milky Way ($6) to stay - "A unique Oolong from China with high "sweet milk" notes mingling with impeccable orchid hints to create a long smooth lingering finish. A milk lovers delight!" - It is really intriguing and different to experience Oolong tea with this heavy body and hint of milky taste... finish is quite silky and smooth I got a sample scoop of Black Tea. Lychee Rose buds ($2.50) to go - "A deliciously sweet tea smooth and cooling with the floral hint of rose to create a refreshing brew and the sweetness of lychees to awaken your taste!" - Remind me of summer and lychee jello.... fruity and strong... The Upper Tea Lounge also serves Afternoon Tea $26 for 2 which is quite reasonable. And for sandwiches and wraps with $2 extra you get a pot of tea with tea matching too. OH and Crepes... Crepes.. I have to be back for their Crepes!!

I had chocolate inspired afternoon tea set with groupon. Great value! T-buds has a large selection of tea. I tried dark chocolate mint buds and coco caramel buds. They both were recommended with the chocolate inspired tea set. Both tea were very good and I ended buying two tins to take home. :) Tea sandwiches are good, but nothing too special. I was fooled by the crepe thinking it's sweet, but it's actually savory with a little spicy kick. We got two types of scones, chocolate and cranberry. Both were fresh baked and fluffy. All the desserts are good as well.

Tomato and mozz with chocolate balsamic glaze, delicious turnover

I mean I am the only customer in there. I waited my 4-5 minutes paying no mind. Then She proceeded to just plop my sandwich on the counter and literally screamed my name and then walked to the back. I'm sorry but this order is for take out I said can I have a bag. She saids she doesn't have big bags with handles. This is not my first rodeo here and she plops a small sandwich bag on the counter with absolutely no customer service like bagging it for me and then walks off again. That's when I see a uber order with a said bag with handle sitting there I mean, I like their sandwiches but service and a remotely polite service is important too. I definitely strongly recommend to stay away from this location. And I am debating on going to any location again as this represents not only their name and location but the franchise reputation as a whole.

Opened in Feb 2025, the sandwich shop is set to expand opening a second location near Dundas and Ossington sometime this year. They are open daily from 11am to 5pm where you can pre-order off Ambassador for pick up or opt for delivery with Ubereats. When Ariete E Toro first opened last year, I recall seeing the long lines as it became super popular. Fast forward to a year later, I finally tried Ariete E Toro recently. The storefront is on a side street off of Yonge St. where it is take out only. They do have a bench near the window/entrance of the store but usually it's utilized by people waiting for their sandwiches. In the summer though, they have a small patio in front of the shop with some tables and chairs. Menu wise, Ariete E Toro has a variety of sandwiches with ingredients that work well together. You are also able to build your own sandwich if you'd like. They also have beverages like soda and water as well. The store boasts that all their ingredients are high quality. An average price of a sandwich is around $17. I decided to pre-order 2 sandwiches for pick up. These are the two sandwiches I got: - Enzo (mortadella di bologna, pistachio pesto, stracciatella cheese, chopped pistachio, lemon and basil oil). - Rogo Rogo (prosciutto cotto, 'nduja cream, smoked provolone, caramelized onion, arugula, and brown butter vinaigrette) Entering the store to pick up my order, staff were amidst completing my sandwiches. There was already a regular there chatting with staff. Service was quick. My sandwiches were packed and I had half of each at home. The size of the sandwich was pretty big! I could only finish 3/4th of the sandwich. Both the Enzo and the Rogo Rogo were tasty but the Enzo stole the show. The moist bread with the mortadella where the pistachio pesto and hint of stracciatella cheese along with a slight crunch from the chopped pistachio made for a perfect sandwich (I do prefer the bread a bit harder and crunchier though but the texture of this one was still good). I was sharing the sandwiches with my partner and as he opened the packaging he noticed a piece of hair in the sandwich. I would have given a higher rating on Yelp but finding someone else's hair in your food is off-putting. I do hope that if I return next time (either to this location or to their new location near Ossington/Dundas) that we won't find any surprises in our food. Overall, delicious sandwiches in Midtown Toronto, however, we did find a piece of hair in our sandwiches which.... kind of makes me hesitant to return. **Update** - I wrote a review on Google where the owner personally asked me to email them to rectify the situation with the piece of hair found in my sandwich. The owner apologized and stated that he was actually the one who personally made my sandwich that day (sliced the deli meat, etc.). He also made sure that he would speak with the bread manufacturer to make sure that they were aware of the situation as it may have come from the bread as well. He also gave me a refund for one sandwich as well as a $25 credit for if I wanted to give the sandwich spot another chance (the sandwich is too good to not go back!). That is what I call great customer service - making sure that an apology was given and that customers are happy. Would happily return again for their tasty sandwiches!!

We tried a variety of items, but the Pizza Caesar Wrap was easily the standout and our favourite thing we ate. Crispy, cheesy, messy in the best way, and packed with flavour. Even better, $3 from every wrap goes toward supporting Daily Bread Food Bank through their $30,000 fundraising campaign, which made ordering it feel even more worthwhile. We also really enjoyed the Spicy Ham & Cheese, which had the perfect balance of spicy, creamy, salty, and savoury flavours. The Gourmet French Hot Dog was another highlight with its sweet and savoury flavour combination wrapped in a buttery, flaky croissant. The Four Seasons sandwiches were a fun concept inspired by the Blue Jays, and while the Chef's Choice wasn't our personal favourite, some people at our table enjoyed it more than we did. For dessert, all of the cookies were freshly baked in-house and surprisingly good for a grab-and-go style spot. The double chocolate chip was rich and soft, and the white chocolate cranberry and macadamia cookies were both solid classics. The iced matcha latte with oat milk paired especially well with them, and the iced vanilla latte was smooth and easy to drink.
