I've been wanting to come for many years. We left the Gregg County Airport and headed straight there. The parking lot was packed as usual for a Friday night. We were surprised that there was no wait to sit inside. I didn't see the outside patio but it must be huge. My margarita was delivered quickly from the bar. We ordered guacamole and it was perfect. It was very fresh with chunks of avocado. My husband ordered chicken fajitas and I wanted something signature. The Tacos de la Rosa was perfect. Very flavorful and cooked just right. It comes with two sides. I love elotes but their corn was nothing special. Should have gotten traditional rice and beans. So glad we stopped. Hope we go again soon. The prices are very reasonable and the atmosphere is good. I want to try the lime chicken next time. But would definitely get the tacos again. read more

Hate gushing but this joint is great! We got there early for lunch, most folks were seated out back. Looked like a great area to sit and eat. We sat inside due to the wind blowing. Chips and salsa were brought to the table, which tasted great. I ordered some of their signature tacos with char beans. Boss lady ordered the steak fajitas. Foods ok. Good options, casual setting, and good for small groups. We were there for a Wednesday lunch and it took Forever....

The ambiance was really nice, I love how they have the multi-colored lights hanging everywhere. The back room is a little cramped with tables really close to each other. Our waitress could have been a touch nicer as well. Which made me not want to ask questions on dishes since that was my first time there. Food came out fast and I finally found a salsa I can eat. I did not care for the tortilla soup, prob the worst I've ever tried. I know where I'll get that from next time though. My quesadilla was wonderful as well as the rice and beans. His enchilada plate was gone before I finished one quesadilla I might try it again. Also disappointed they don't do a taco Tuesday night with specials. read more

The Service very good and the Ambiance was also good. We visited around 2:30 and it was not busy. I Really enjoyed the 90's music. The food was not good at all. Both dinners were very bland with no seasoning and you could tell it came right out the microwave. The Bowls were hot, but the food was not. I don't think it's cooked to order. It was more less an assembly line and pop it in the microwave. You could tell nothing was freshly cooked. I don't recommend eating here, but the atmosphere is great. read more

So I have visited T Blanco's several times throughout the years and to be honest, most of the times I visited was because of convenience (not my fav tex-mex restaurant) or if I wanted a "stiff" drink (you better have your big girl panties on cause they are good and strong)....BUT I tried the brunch a few weeks ago and I am now in a chokehold lol....I know this sounds crazy but try the pancakes!!!! They are chef's kiss....the edges are crispy while the pancake is moist and the flavor is AMAZING!! Got my hubby to try them yesterday and he agrees. I also like the peach and strawberry mimosas. We had a large group and they were very busy. We had to wait about an hour. We were seated on the deck and I try was perfect because we had a couple of little boys that enjoyed running around. We came for Mother's Day in the pouring rain. We drive by here and always see lots of cars. Today would be the day we try it. There are people on the porch so my husband goes in to see how long of a wait. Surprise 20 minutes. Ok they hand us the pager and we sit in the car. It really wasn't that long of a wait. The porch is much bigger than I expected. As we enter we see more people, but there is still seating for waiting open. We are seated at our table and soon the chips and salsa are at our table. The place is bustling with servers moving everywhere. Our drink order is taken and soon we are ready to order. It's still brunch time so hubs orders migas and fil orders breakfast tacos. I had the taco salad with pulled pork and granddaughter had the fajitas quesadillas. Only complaint I heard was the refried beans were spicy, fil does not like spicy food. They had just a tad bit of spice but you really had to look for it. I don't eat refired beans. Migas were just like my husband liked. Taco salad meh. The pork was good and plenty of it. It was missing cheese. Would I order it again? Probably no. The quesadilla were also good. So in all, service was great, food gets a 75. I would return and try something different. read more

This is the worst Mexican food I've had in a very long time. It started with terrible rocks margaritas that tasted watered-down, then onto queso and salsa that were woefully underwhelming, then onto the entree, a tamale/enchilada combo covered in canned chili of which I was only able to stomach two bites. Everything is WAY over priced. The owners are making a killing with high prices, low (cheap ingredients) food costs, and a clientele that apparently doesn't know what good Mexican food tastes like. The place was pretty much packed on the Monday evening when our party of 11 went. Our tab was over $500, and I considered calling the police because I felt I'd been robbed. The only reason they get two stars instead of one is because our server was very attentive and courteous, and stayed on top of our entire party's requests for the duration of the meal. I've eaten here at least five times and the Mexican food was outstanding. Try the chicken or beef enchiladas with creamy jalapeño sauce! The fish tacos are great, too. The food was excellent. Poblano pepper and stuffed avocado were very tasty with the fajita beef week seasoned and tender. The back patio overlooking the Sabine River would be an excellent choice in cooler weather. The large canopied trees provide an excellent backdrop and should be spectacular in the fall foliage season. Parking is tight with some parking on the highway but we'll worth the journey. read more

My first experience with Tblanco's was excellent. Was in the area for business and I asked about a recommendation for TexMex. Several people agreed that I needed to go to Tblanco's. I had lunch in the smaller bar area and asked the person who sat me at the table what she thought was the best thing on the menu... tamales! I ordered a combo meal of tamales and enchiladas- it was great! Plenty to eat, free refills, extra chips and salsa. I definitely was full! Parking was easy, there was no wait - got there just before the rush, and the place was clean, efficient and well organized. I could see the kitchen from where I was seated and the lunch crew were all helping each other and getting the food out pretty fast. I'm doing my review now because I'm headed back to the Longview area again next week and I'm planning on stopping in for dinner this next time and see how things go. The food and service were amazing! My husband had the shrimp enchiladas which were delicious and I had the fried avocado stuffed with shredded beef. The house margaritas not only packed a punch, but had a unique flavor. Our server was quick and attentive even though it was New Year's Eve and they were super busy. Salsa is always one of our deciding factors in a Mexican restaurant, and it's awesome. Just the right amount of heat with possibly a fruit note? Great stuff! We went back after not going for years. I thought $16.99 for the sunrise quesadilla was a bit pricey, when the only difference was the cheese on top. I also had the charro beans. They were a weird flavor, and way too salty. I tasted my husband's refried beans & rice that he barely touched. They tasted just as weird as the charro beans, and also too salty. The rice was some if the worst Mexican rice I've tasted, and definitely not Mexican rice. There was absolutely no flavor. The best part of the meal was sitting out in the deck. Our waiters was great too. We might go back. My husband said the margarita chicken salad is pretty good. Average Tex-Mex at best. Salsa is bland. Never had anything there I would consider to be good. The restaurant itself is in good order. And I have always received good service there (My elderly Mom drags me in there about once a month). I do not understand why this place is always packed. Guessing it's due to it being the only Mexican restaurant in Lakeport. It might be the drinks. It's definitely not the food.
