There's a reason the Chuy's in Austin was always packed and a reason this one is less than 1/2 capacity on a Friday. $150 is a lot to come out with but my son had a trip to the ER, it's Friday, and the whole family wanted some, so why not splurge and get some of the best Mexican food around? We didn't, we got it from here. We ordered and had an estimate of 5:35 PM. Upon arriving, one of the staff working To Go asked what I was waiting for and I told her we were early, gave our last name and she took note. This was shortly after 5 PM. I got a good tip ready, as I expected she would be tracking this order. 5:50 PM, my wife tried calling 3 times and no answer. I went inside. no one acknowledged me. Given there were so few people there, I don't understand why they can't answer the phone when my wife called 3 times, but can stand around texting on their own phones. The cleanliness was lacking, even in the unoccupied section. I would expect with so many staff and so few customers, someone could have picked up a little. I went to the front and mentioned the issue. I finally did get my order. I made sure all containers were there but my wife didn't mention the chocolate milk, so that was a loss. Unfortunately, I didn't open all containers to see the incorrect contents. I lost about an hour here. I didn't even get an apology for taking double the time I was told. They truly do not care! If someone in Austin pays attention, you need to get an on site manager. Given so many paid staff doing nothing, fire most and start over. Better to regain your reputation at a temporary expense. Review camera footage. It backs up time hacks and lazy employees. Chuy's has been around literally decades. I hate seeing it dragged through the mud for one rogue location. We will give this location another try in case it was a fluke. Taking my son to the ER was a better experience than this place. t would be funnier if it wasn't true. PS - I don't care about sorry for my poor experience, etc. Fix the problem. Make it good again. read more

The food was great. Had an enchilada dinner. Had a gathering of 15 family members to celebrate my sissy's birthday. Chris the manager was very helpful and accomodating. I like the decor. The staff is very good. The food at Chuys used to be much better. We are from Austin (where it started), and have noticed a steady decline in the food quality. The sauces (tomatillo, table salsa) are not very tasty. Oh well. read more

I was thrilled when it was announced that there would be a Chueys in Longview, and I couldn't wait to try it out. I got the beef enchilada with chili on top and beef Taco and it was so good. It was flavorful, and came out piping hot. The rice and beans were tasty as well. Their salsa has a bit of a kick to it, but it was so fresh. Their jalapeño ranch dip is A1 as well. I've tried several other things at Chueys as well such as tacos, enchiladas, nachos, and queseadillas and they're all so good. You can't go wrong with anything on the menu. 10/10 recommend. Went there with grandchildren. After the food came a grandchild had to go to the bathroom. While we were gone they cleared our table even though we hadn't touched the food. The manager remade the entire order except the queso and the food came back out was disgusting; cold, soggy, half of what was originally ordered. Eating out these days is not worth it - attitudes, quality of food, and cleanliness. Just not worth my hard earned money. I will stand in 108 weather and grill my steaks, vegetables and fajitas before I eat out again. The only good experience is small town restaurants - Red Rooster in Hawkins, The Line in Mineola, Peralta's in Quitman and Bodacious in Longview. I am done with big chains! read more

We visited Chuy's for the first time today! We were quoted 20 minutes for a wait time and that was almost exactly on point. The staff was very friendly and the service was fast. The only reason I'm giving four stars is because I wish they had more non-spicy options. They had what seemed to be a limited menu with nothing that was sensitive stomach friendly Otherwise, if you like really spicy food, you'd love it here! read more

The queso was WONDERFUL and so we're the enchiladas! The queso was some of THE BEST I'VE EVER HAD! Their margaritas & drinks were pretty damn good too!!!!! Wish we had one closer to Marshall, Texas. Long time chuy's customer from Austin to Dallas and now East Texas, glad they are here. Got my usual chuychanga with double rice and queso, and of course a side of jalapeno ranch for the chips and tortillas ... DELISH! MOLLI took excellent care of us! Can't wait to come back! Also always loce the dog pics on the walls and the Elvis tribute! Excellent! I went to try it out a few days ago. Got there right when they opened and only had to wait about 10 minutes. Food came out quickly and our server was so friendly and made sure our drinks were topped off. So glad to have Chuy's in Longview! read more

Sat us in the bar with one poor little girl working. She was working the bar and waiting tables. She was excellent. But there were others servers just standing around doing nothing. Asked if we could be seated in the dinning room since obviously they had more help. The hostess would not seat us in there we ended up leaving. If you have enough people to be standing around cutting up and having fun why not have them help that poor girl out. Will not be back. read more

A nice server tried to let us in but another man stopped her and told us they were closed even though there were people eating inside. After we left he allowed multiple (white) families to go in. I ordered "to go" today....probably the worst take out experience I have had in a long time. All I ordered was fajitas for two and chicken enchilada. It took almost an hour to get my order. when I got home I found out they gave me fajitas for one and beef enchiladas. They also forgot to include tortillas and other fajita set up items.
