We have enjoyed eating at Little Mexico for the past several years and decided to eat there last Thursday. We placed our orders and were talking to each other when they were delivered. After taking a few bites of my dinner, I discovered it was not what I had ordered. We waited until the server came our way and I pointed this out to her. She offered to take it back and reorder my dish but I decided to eat what she had delivered. It was not the best quality and my wife said hers didn't taste that great either. The salsa was so spicy we could not enjoy it either. We were very disappointed. read more

The food and drinks were outstanding from start to finish. I had the watermelon tajín margarita, and it was excellent -- refreshing, perfectly balanced, and just the right amount of spice. The three‑taco dinner was another highlight. The chorizo taco in particular was packed with flavor and easily my favorite of the trio. I also tried the pupusa, which was delicious on its own but even better with the cabbage mix that added a great crunch and tang. Overall, everything was fresh, flavorful, and thoughtfully prepared. Great staff- Anana was amazing to let us try different sauces with our chips- friendly and our cups were never empty. From here we knew we were in for a treat. I had the enchiladas and taco Al carbon.... Both of which were excellent but the chili sauce was the best I have ever had. The rice had actual flavor- something I have not experienced in a long time. My dinner partner had the enchiladas and tamale- which was excellent but hold the cheese sauce on that. The quesadilla was a bit too greasy with beef. Complimentary sopapillas were the cherry on top. Two each. Very dense sweetness. Loved this place- even if the music was a bit loud for conversation, I still found myself dancing in my seat with each new bite. read more

Will definitely run not walk here when I'm visiting the family again! Always have to stop and grab some Tex Mex while I'm in Texas! Just something you have to do off GP! I couldn't decide what I wanted so I went with an old faithful combo that's usually is never a miss. I can't remember the name of the combo that was listed on the menu but it consisted of: 1-cheese and 1-chili cheese enchiladas; hard beef taco supreme; rice and beans. I also added a side of the "supreme mix" which consisted of lettuce, guacamole, cheese, and Pico de Gallo. After adding those additions and throwing in some of those nice slightly salted and crispy chips it was like I was having nachos plus more! Very good couldn't even eat all so took the rest home for later. The mango margarita was really good and feeling. Probably what made me so full I couldn't finish all my food. Will be back when I'm the area to try more on the menu.. read more

I had only been to Little Mexico once about 4 years ago, and I was not impressed. I am happy to write an updated review and say that this time, the food was excellent! From my last review, I mentioned the quickness and attentiveness of the service. This time was no exception. Our waitress was very engaging and had a lovely personality great for the food service business. She went out of our way to make sure we were taken care of. Now, the food. I ordered the lunch special beef chimichanga. It was crisp, and compared to last time when I said there was no flavor, well, they nailed it this time. Very rich in flavor, and the salsa verde had some good kick to it, but not overwhelming. Rice and beans were cooked very nicely and tasted great. The chips and salsa they put out are always fresh, and the salsa itself is not tomato tasting. Just the right amount of spice, and I can tell they use a measured portion of jalapenos. Overall, Little Mexico was off McCann road the last time I tried it. Now they are on Judson in the shopping center next to Crunch. The move must have fixed something, because I will definitely be going back there again! Well done! read more

I read rave reviews for this place but let me tell you it's not a place I will be going back to. The food was mmm, blah at best. The employees were very nice and got us everything we needed. But other than that, the food was not memorable. The family did not complain, but they did not praise it either. Everyone walked out saying not much of anything. So, there were good reviews but... Service was terrible, waited 15 minutes to order drinks and 3 of the 4 drinks were wrong. Ordered an appetizer and never got it. Never saw the waitress. Food was marginal at best. And it was wrong too. Correct drinks were brought out after everyone was finished eating. Language barrier was definitely an issue. Terrible experience. With many choices of Mexican food in Longview you will not be disappointed with Little Mexico. Our waitress was on top of it. She anticipated every need that we had. Since I love onion, I get grilled onion added to mine. Love this dish! They are normally pretty quick with getting our order ready, even when there are several people in the restaurant. Really Good Fish Tacos We ate here a while back and that was our take on our visit. Good corn tortillas filled with a lot of fish and condiments on the side of cabbage, cilantro, tomato, lime, rice and beans and some good avocado....all with some spicy green sauce brought out.......really good. Good Tex-Mex for the price. Growing up in Texas, this is exactly what we are accustomed to. My tamale was unidentifiable as such, but tasted good anyway. My spouse had the beef fajita quesadilla, and the beef was super yummy! Good salsa with a bite (but not too harsh), so I definitely applaud them for not making flat, unflavored salsa. Awesome food, I love that they have authentic and Tex-Mex style foods. It is very good, and the plates are quite large. The owner is there every time I go.
