Part 1 (wrote too much please read both!!) We are so happy to check this project off our list! Backstory: We bought a home about 4 years that had a gorgeous used brick pool deck. Everyone always commented on the how cool the deck was. But what they did not know is that the bricks were disintegrating, specifically the bricks serving as the pool coping. Our feet were getting torn up and the pool was covered in brick dust. Oh, and the company that manufactured the exact brick size went out of business like 25 years ago. So replacing the bricks was really not an option. We decided this year to heat our pool due to the stay-at-home orders mandated in March due to COVID-19. This was one of the best decisions we made to pass the time, lol! (More info: pool was replastered last Spring and transitioned to salt water, house was re-piped due to a slab leak last summer, and house was re-painted last Fall. Too many home projects = BROKE.) The increased use of the pool beginning in March accelerated the brick deterioration. We think also, the bricks were impacted due to the saltwater transition. Anyway, all of this to say, staring at our backyard all day, every day, we decided to redo the pool deck. We received a few estimates from independent contractors. Since we were doing this as a 'backward' project (pool had just been replastered, pool is surrounded by expensive artificial turf, detail work would be involved, etc) we decided to explore larger companies as well. We also received a mailer that highlighted a very good offer from System Pavers involving demolition and financing. And well, we had a lot of demolition (see pics) so this was a factor for us in making our decision. After a virtual estimate, and then a visit to the home, and a subsequent scheduled visit to the System Pavers showroom, we signed a contract with our designer Byron Schlay. Byron has great energy and really listened to what we were hoping to accomplish. He offered us good suggestions and kept the project within our stated budget. We appreciated his honesty and clear lack of "upselling" us, as that did not suit our lifestyle. Here's an example: with our other estimates we had considered a fancy built-in outdoor BBQ, sink, refrigerator island. Byron was clear to indicate requirements for measurements. Given our specific pool deck layout this would have caused a limit on play area for the kids and a precarious path of travel for when we have parties. The fact is that we maybe barbecue once a week, so we decided to save that cost and put our money in other parts of the backyard. Best decision. Speaking of other parts of the backyard, there was one area of our pool deck that was a real conundrum. Essentially, it was a pool wall attached to a planter and to the perimeter of our property wall, that had an elevation and a water feature. This planter had been filled and made into a raised deck of sorts so that the kids could propel themselves into the water. Problem: kids are now too big to do this and they can almost make it to the other side of the pool. This area needed to go and had to be redesigned. Due to the unknown of what this area could entail, it was excluded from our estimate until the company was able to chip away at the hardscape and develop options for us to proceed. We appreciated the care and attention to this corner of our backyard as it is a focal point. (see pre/post pics) Enter project manager, Ryan Mainwaring. Soft-spoken, very honest, and super kind, Ryan spent a significant amount of time reviewing the scope of the project listening to our ideas, and figuring out how the construction crew would protect a newly plastered pool, and the tile while demolishing all of the old brick. Ryan returned prior to the project scheduled start date with the crew foreman and again the scope of the project and the emphasis of protecting the pool was reviewed. There was a point where we thought they might back out of the project, lol. Fast forward: Pool remained essentially unscathed throughout the project. Lesson to be learned is that even if you protect a pool very carefully with plastic taped to the tile, dust somehow still settles in. It needs to be swept and vacuumed daily otherwise it calcifies. Our family wet sanded all of our seating areas of the pool to get rid of this. This was outside of the scope of what System Pavers had to do and we were fully aware that engaging in this project could result in some sort of damage to our pool. THANK YOU to System Pavers for covering and uncovering our pool (thick ml plastic cut and taped along the tile) probably 10 times during this project. No project is perfect.... There are very few projects that are completed without issues and hiccups along the way. The project was no different. What was anticipated to be less than a three-week project, turned into a 2+ month project. (Go on to Part 2!) read more

Travis from System Pavers was great, our yard was a bit complicated with footing of walls showing and different levels for the yard, and the foundation of the house showing, without the standard depth required for pavers, before signing and finalizing on price Travis double checked that the work was even possible. Next came Ryan our Project Manager, he came in before work started and verified the work to be performed, he also came day before the crew arrived to check what would happen with the floor level and knew exactly what the crew needed to do the next day. The crew themselves did an amazing job, they were quick and efficient, and the end results, we could not have imaged. I have already given Travis number to a neighbor, so hopefully she will be calling. read more

I wouldn't recommend system pavers. They are over price. They take your money and never call you back!!! Waiting for a refund never return your calls. Bunch of bad sales reps. Talks too much and wastes your full day. At the end they got our names wrong on the order.. too our money, and no response back from this business... read more

My sales lady Kristin Chiavetta was great to work with from the very beginning. She arrived my house early to provide a quotation and clearly explained the product she was selling. We decided to go with them on the spot. The longest process was the HOA approval, but System Pavers took care of it for us almost entirely. They even have an HOA coordinator to make my dealing with HOA so much more easier. And Kristin was communicating with me via text the entire time, so I felt very comfortable throughout the HOA situation. The most amazing part was the installation. It literally took the project team lead by Juan Garcia little more than 48 hours from start to finish flawlessly. It was like the blink of an eye, and the project was done. The installation team was professional and courteous the entire time even to our neighbors. The final product is beautiful, and we cannot be happier. I would recommend their service to anyone. read more

Had there rep come out in June 2019 to give quote and provide all the necessary information to budget. I set up a personalized payment schedule and even pushed back the start dates several times due to unexpected fiscal challenges. Nevertheless, they worked with me & allowed me to set a new start date while honoring the original sales promo. I had AJ act as the supervisor and he made sure the project was done timely & professionally. He did a spectacular job. read more

We got a bid from another paver company that was within range of the bid from System Pavers. We decided on SP because of the expediency of their response, even though they weren't able to get to us right away, they told us when they would call, when they would schedule...so we weren't waiting around to hear from them. We knew exactly what was going on. We worked with Mike in sales and Dan who oversaw the installation. Both were so professional in guiding us through the paver process from the selection of pavers including various scenarios and colors. They were patient with our many questions with the installation. The men who did the actual install were fantastic....their artistry and attention to detail was phenomenal.....they were there early and stayed and worked in the dark when the could. They were great! All in all a fabulous experience. And the pavers and artificial turf look gorgeous, what an incredible change in our outdoor experience. deborah read more

The patio and walkways pavers job turned out precisely the way I had envisioned it, a medium sized backyard patio paradise. Prior to the pavers, I had built a block barbeque island and planter wall. Also, the patio cover footings were in place. The System Pavers crew did extraordinary work to make sure the new pavers were in harmony with my existing structures. This resulted in a very cohesive polished overall look. To reach this point however at times was a struggle. The pavers already installed in my driveway and sidewalk was to be matched. The brand and blend was not identifiable to Mark Fowler, and substitutes were offered. Although the substitutes were acceptable, the color blend was off, and it took persistence on my part to get Mark to create a color blend to match. Once the work crew arrived however, the order had been changed to a non-matching color blend, and it took arguments by me again to get the color blend right, including another visit by Mark Fowler. Also, the work crew found discord with my existing structures levels which would conflict with the planned pavers levels. I had to resolve this conflict with a measure tape, string, and bubble level to prove that my structure levels were correct to match the pavers level to be installed. Fortunately for me I had enough interaction with Mark Fowler and the System Pavers installers to keep the project on the right track for the resulting dream patio. read more

This was a terrible experience period! Signed paper work in December of 2016 with guarantees of starting in February. Salesman was the worst, just wouldn't listen to what we wanted and kept trying to convince us of things we didn't like. Made several promises they couldn't keep and kept asking for more money. Made official complaints to our salesman's boss about him and nothing changed. Project was pushed back to June at which point we decided to pull the plug and get our money back. This company is too big and far too unorganized! They lost out on our $45,000 project for constantly dropping the ball. Couldn't trust them to do the job. Will be trying a new company this coming fall. read more

A few years ago we had System Pavers install our driveway and patio. They did a great job and we love it. We recently called them because some of the pavers had sunk. A representative was sent out within a couple days and the repairs were made. We are very pleased with their service and would highly recommend them. Jeannette M. read more

My wife and I could not be happier with our project from System Pavers. Estella, our project manager, was absolutely a joy to work with. She arrived exactly when she said she would and she was accessible and responsive throughout the project. Everything turned out exactly as promised. We also cannot say enough wonderful things about the construction crew. What an amazing group of human beings. Honestly, we have never seen anyone work as hard and fast as this team. They began removing nearly 1500 sq ft of concrete and replaced the area with pavers and a new fire pit in our courtyard and had the entire job completed in 5 days. They were attentive to every detail and after everyday of work they left the work area clean and organized. We have been talking about doing this for nearly 15 years and to see our dream come to reality is so awesome. Thank you Estella, System Pavers, and the entire team for making it all happen. Our family will now have a lifetime of enjoyment in our new space. read more

On May 7th, Jeff came out to our home and viewed our project area and discussed our plans with us. He also took measurements. We met him at his showroom on Tuesday the 9th. We were told we would have a quote by Friday the 12th. I called him on Saturday the 13th, and he stated he didn't have our paperwork in front of him but he would get to it and have a quote by Monday the 15th. It is now Saturday the 20th and I've heard no word from him. I'm not sure why they can't quote on the spot? We've had two competitors out here since who have measured Ana quoted us right there. I'm very disappointed that our expensive project may not be worth it to system pavers. How could you feel ok as a company by treating potential customers this way?! He's very knowledgeable and helpful, but no response has left a very poor taste. read more

The first thing I want to say is that I cannot believe any of the people who put up the negative reviews for System Pavers. I had several other paver companies come out and either they did no show up or were late for their appointments. This is the second time I have used System Pavers and both times were great. I worked with Joshua for the initial quote and he listened to everything I said and gave me a great quote. I worked with Steve the project manager and this guy was incredible. We had decided to make a couple of changes to the project for my back yard and Steve did everything he could to make us happy! The backward looks fantastic with the pavers and turf. I appreciate the whole System Pavers team for their hard work on this project! read more

System Pavers product and design changed the look of our backyard and home. Brian, the design consultant and Edward, the project manger, were great! I have and will continue to recommend System Pavers. read more

Due to water restrictions here in L.A county the grass in our front yard had dried up and became an eye sore. So we decided it's time to have it replace. My wife checked out several companies and she came up with Systems Pavers as the best. She did not made a mistake bec. at a moments noticed they returned our call and set up an inspection date for us. We met Oscar Bonilla a professional looking guy and we became at ease right away with him. From inspection, estimate, removal, installation, and clean up was very much professional, he made sure that everything has been taken cared of according to the plan. We loved the outcome! We received a lot of compliments from people passing by our house. read more

Would I recommended System Pavers? Absolutely! Their primary goal was customer satisfaction from the initial sales contact through job completion. During the design phase our Sales Manager, Eric Magpali, recommended some changes that my wife and I hadn't thought of. His recommendations made a significant visual impact along with other visual paving stone cues that stand out. The design exceeded our expectations. There never was any pressure for upselling but Eric worked within our budget and presented different options for us to consider. The total job was completed in 6 days. The crew and project manager, Adrian Munoz, were phenomenal. This crew worked incredibly hard and each step of the project they worked and consulted with us to make sure details were to our satisfaction as the project progressed. Adrian stopped by every day to make sure the job was meeting or exceeding our expectations. As the job progressed my wife wanted some minor changes and Adrian and crew were very accommodating. The crew was always on-time, courteous, and cleaned up the job site each day. The whole experience from sales, design, demolition, installation was a pleasant customer experience. If you are in the Inland Empire, request Adrian Munoz and one of his crews. The total job from expanded driveway, borders, porch and artificial turf exceeded our expectations. Thank you System Pavers for a job well done! read more

Yeah - no thanks. From the sleazy sales guys who pretty much rubbed their hands together as they looked me up and down figuring out how much they could shake me down for, to the sleazy sales tactics ("we have 720 sq ft of pavers left over from a previous job we can credit to you if you sign today!") to above all the fact that they wouldn't deal with me without my husband present. As an adult, who is quite capable of making up her mind and - gasp - running an executive summary of her decision past her husband, I took offense. Yes, I know, "we've run into problems with husbands and wives differing opinions before". Let ME worry about my own relationship dynamics. YOU guys do what YOU do, which is give me a quote. But never mind - there seem to be plenty of landscape contractors in the OC only too willing to deal with a woman. So I'll go to one of them. read more

Nestor and his crew did an amazing job on our landscape project. They took care of every detail. They were on time, friendly, and most importantly they know their stuff! Every detail of our project was just as promised, such a beautiful improvement. They delivered our project on time and we couldn't be happier. Also want to give a shout out to Jeff Brown, the sales rep. He gave us some great ideas, wasn't pushy and helped us with our HOA approval. A great experience from beginning to end. read more

System Pavers in San Diego had done a large project for us and we were ready to show it off to our friends. Unfortunately, a problem with the lighting occurred. The San Diego project leader came over and said that he would temporarily fix it for our party that weekend. Apparently, he was unable to get support from his SD office, but was resourceful enough to get Alex Paez from their Santa Ana office. Alex was wonderful and did a perfect job. He is clean-cut, friendly, respectful, efficient and thorough. I would be glad have him work on our home anytime. read more

System Pavers did a fantastic job with our driveway/front yard project, and created new front steps that perfectly fit the design complexities of our courtyard. The only reason they are getting a 1 is because I can not give them a 0. Randy came out to my home on 2-7-2017 for an estimate on a job. I liked what he had to say and the price, I was required to give him a deposit that day. He told me someone would be out in a few days with samples and would do a chalk outline so I could visually see the project. A month went by and every time someone was scheduled to come out the appointment was cancelled. By the time the last appointment was cancelled on 3-3-2017, I called to cancel my job with System Pavers. At this point they sent Wade out...... who informed me the job would be $2800 over the already quoted price of around $7000. At this point, and after waiting over a month I cancelled the job. To date 3-16-2017 I am still trying to get my deposit back...the one they required on day one.... and was told today it would be another 7 to 10 days. I don't know if System Pavers treats all their customers like this or only single women. Be careful. read more

Ugh!!!! Where do I start? The customer service in this company stinks!!!! I had a designer come out January 6-it is now February 22. Did I ever get a quote ? no !!! The guy who came out said he was going into training & to contract him when I was ready to meet to get my quote - I said I was ready within a week to meet again to get a quote. Insult to injury he was refusing to meet with me without my husband I told him my husband put it all in my hands,as I am an adult. I'm getting three quotes & will show them to my husband and tell him which company I would like to use. I hate when companies are so condescending that they will not deal with the wife only . He said I would have a quote shortly. Never heard back from him I literally called the company 800## 3 times...nothing! I wasted an hour of my workday to meet with the guy, go over the plans to redo my whole backyard , to never get a quote. Are you kidding me ???? that's time I can't get back !The amount of money system pavers pays on mailing advertising mailers to my mailbox, sending out daily emails, and calling me etc. they could use that money to actually getting sales people and sales managers who can follow up and give somebody a quote! On top of this, the company called me three times to ask me if I was happy with their service and three times I told them I never got any service!!! By the way I had a gentleman from Western Concrete come out, give me a quote within two days, show me respect as an adult & meet with me without my husband... his quote was thorough, detailed and affordable! He treated me with respect and the highest of professionalism. System pavers take notes read more

Totally waste of time. It has been 1.5 months since Noel Salinas came over and showed us fancy presentation and did the measurements of our yard but till today no design has been shared with us. Noel booked an appointment on a Saturday before Easter to meet us at the showroom but when we went there it felt like show room was closed. Finally had someone open the door for us. Noel did a last minute cancellation and indicated that we should be able to go visit and take pictures at the showroom of what we like so he can incorporate that in the design. Once we went inside the showroom entire experience was unwelcoming. Doors were locked and they were almost reluctant to open the doors since Noel wasn't there. Once we were in as instructed by Noel my wife was about to take a pictures and a designer came and told her/us not to take any pictures. I showed him text from Noel that one of their own employees told us to take the pictures and designer indicated people take pictures and get ideas of their design. I didn't tell him there but the power point presentation which Noel shared with us had same picture on their Yelp reviews. Anyways we spend about 10 minutes after that and left. I reached out to Noel few times after that and he indicated they were backed up with their design because of Easter. Till today after almost 1.5 months we have not heard anything back from Noel or their designers. Noel has broken promises multiple times with zero follow ups via phone calls or text messages. When I brought this up to Noel one of the times he told me he will speak with his manager and offer discount. That was really odd since we never received any quote or anything and discount was offered. I highly suggest that you stay away from this company. Even though it looks like they are professional and have been in business for a while and have big show room their customer support, follow ups, and operation is extremely poor. Chances are even if they do your design and landscaping once they some how finish the project good luck with everything since you will never hear back from them. read more

This is the second time I have used System Pavers. The first time, great product and they were all over solving any issues. This time around the product looks great, but getting them to fix issues has been problematic. The lighting went out in late May and it took to early July to send someone out.
