I've decided to give this spot another shot since it is so convenient and located in the domain but once again it is disappointing. Chronically understaffed, this sweetgreens is everything this chain isn't. they are missing ingredients and attempted to charge me for substitutes which they themselves suggested. when told, the team sheepishly changed it but didn't apologize. If that wasn't enough, they gave smaller scoops to save ingredients instead of just making more. I am currently sitting in the restaurant and livid at this experience. I rarely given out out 1 stars but this place deserves it. Hopefully administration/ management take some action since their service and food are clearly lacking. here is a positive note, I didn't see any staff member taking out the garbage and then just putting on some gloves and preparing food like last time and it is cleaner this time on Saturday 7:45pm. read more

My wife and I came to Sweetgreen on a Saturday afternoon, around 2 PM, after doing some shopping. The restaurant was not busy at all during this time so we were able to get a table for ourselves easily. The restaurant is pretty spread out and spacious inside. This wasn't our first time coming in, so we knew the general idea. The young woman behind the counter was very kind and courteous to us throughout the ordering process. I decided to order the "Chicken Avocado Ranch" salad: Blackened chicken, avocado, pickled onions, apples, tortilla chips, white rice, chopped romaine, and green goddess ranch. Sooooooo good. There's something about the balance of the freshness and crispness of the salad and the warmth of the rice and chicken for me, topped with the creamy goodness of the green goddess ranch. Everything tasted so fresh. I highly recommend this bowl! My picture doesn't look as appetizing as the salad looks on the menu, but that's because they mix it FOR YOU if you ask them, which I appreciate. To drink we had the "Organic Jasmine Green Tea"--if you're a tea drinker you might love this, but if you're not, just know it is not sweet. It's very "floral" in taste, and some might like that, some might not, I'm in the middle! But I still drank it!! Will continue coming back for more for sure!! read more

I like salads anyway, so not hard to find something on the menu that sounded good. I chose the Hummus Crunch Salad. My wife ordered the Shroomami Bowl. Both were outstanding! The space is light and airy, plenty of room for guests. The constant stream of customers ordering at the counter and coming in to pick up to-go orders reinforce that this place is the real deal. The aptly named Hummus Crunch salad includes hummus (obviously) which was very tasty (albeit you only get about three tablespoons in the salad LOL). Added to that is chickpeas, tomatoes, cucumbers, shredded cabbage, red onion, basil, breadcrumbs, kale and romaine lettuce. The most notable thing about the salad, aside from its delicious, is the amazingly FRESH ingredients. Super fresh and made to order as you walk down the counter, all kept chilled so the salad is very crisp. You get to choose how much dressing you get, which is nice, and the basil vinegarette was awesome! All that at only 380 calories according to the menu board. The Shroomami Bowl lives up to its name, the main ingredient being warm portobello mushrooms, with added roasted tofu, cucumbers, basil, shredded cabbage, roasted almonds, wild rice, kale and a miso sesame ginger dressing. Another 5-star dish. Oh so tasty, and as with the salad, all the ingredients were very fresh. Also made as you walk down the counter, and you control the amount of dressing on the bowl as well. One final note about the meal ... the fresh bread that comes with the meal. Tastes homemade, perhaps wheat-based, very soft and delicious. Sweetgreen is a great place to enjoy a fabulously tasty and healthy meal. We'll be back... highly recommend Sweetgreen at Domain, Austin! read more

I have an obsession with sweetgreen as of late and unfortunately the last two times they have substantially ruined my order. I order the same thing every time and look forward to the kale base I get in my salad. They have forgotten the kale and sweet potatoes but to mess up the entire base of the salad is super disappointing and kind of ridiculous. I'm now going to head to the grocery store to buy kale to complete my disappointing sweetgreen meal. Bummer. read more

My fiance and I went to Sweetgreens around 7:30 tonight ((Tuesday). She had the chicken pesto parm bowl and I had the chicken avocado ranch with heavy dressing. Of course, we took them up on the complimentary sourdough and then we got water to drink. She liked her chicken pesto parm which has spicy broccoli, tomatoes, shaved parmesan, za'atar breadcrumbs, herbed quinoa, baby spinach, sweetgreen hot sauce, and pesto vinaigrette. She liked the toasted quinoa and said overall, it wasn't spicy. As for the chicken avocado ranch, it was delicious. It has pickled onions, apples, tortilla chips, white rice, chopped romaine, and green goddess ranch. The apple adds a nice crunch and the ranch has a nice flavor to it, maybe? What a nice delight in the Domain. In an excellent location, near Lavaca and Its Sugar if you are in need of a candy rush after all this wholesome good healthy eating! I had the miso salmon and it was cooked perfectly. I had it as is and the spicy cashew dressing was that, very spicy but very good. I remained healthy and stuck to water. My partner had the chicken avocado ranch salad. The Apple chinks were a great alternative to croutons. A very healthy well balanced place to eat. You can even see the freshness - the refrigerator is clear glass. They even have a list of where each item is farm To market from. So I knew exactly where my salmon was from The only reason I could not give it 5 stars was because we could not eat inside. It was extremely cold so we did fine outside. So happy a sweetgreen opened in the Domain! I have always wanted to try this place and I finally had the chance to go twice in the past week. The store is super clean and the people working there are very friendly and the service is quick which I appreciate. They have premade bowls that you can modify as much as you'd like or build your own. As a first time customer, I didn't know what to get so I got a premade bowl which I loved (although it was a LOT of quinoa). That came out to be around $13. The second time I came in I decided to make my own bowl and it was so good, but with the bowl and a health-aid kumbucha, it was $23... so not sure where that came from lol. The whole organization is run by an online system with no human interaction. I live in Austin and was visiting in Houston. I placed an order mistakenly to the wrong location - $45.00 worth. I realized it within a minute of placing the order and tried to cancel the order so I could place it in Houston and not Austin because obviously I would not be able to pick it up. I was told by the online customer support chat that the order was already being prepared and the time stamp showed the time 6 hours difference indicating that the chat was happening with an overseas customer support. They said they avoid food waste and therefore no refund could be issued. I never received the order and tried calling and was directed to the online chat. The online chat asked if I wanted to be transferred and when I said yes... it ended the chat. I will be disputing the credit card charge. So disappointing. UPDATE!!!! They have reached out and reversed the charge. They made it right so I am willing to change my review. It did not have to be that way, but there is oversight... one night of aggravation, but a business willing to do right - I can get behind that. read more

Nice to have a clean and fast alternative place to dine here at the Domain. Sweetgreen offers salad and bowl choices of grains or greens. Their proteins, grains, and veggies are made with extra virgin olive oil so that's a plus in my book. Anytime I can avoid canola oil and the like - my body is happier. I came to the domain sweet greens during off hours for Yelp event. There isn't much a line or wait due to being non normal hours. I took my order to go. The server there was very nice. The interior feels clean and it feels like a nice place to come for something healthy. I got the garlic steak bowl. The steak was chop into small pieces. In the picture, it was slices. So that misleading thing I notice. Otherwise the food was food. I would come back again since it provides all the nutrients facts on their bowls. I swear by the "guacamole greens salad" - roasted chicken, avocado, tomatoes, pickled onions, shredded cabbage, tortilla chips, spring mix, chopped romaine, a lime squeeze, and lime cilantro jalapeño vinaigrette. They let you substitute ingredients, so I always ask for apples instead of pickled onions.
