My (now) husband and I are vegan, so we went into wedding planning thinking that finding a quality wedding cake would cost an arm and a leg. Not the case at all, thanks to Sweet Treets Bakery! They were super communicative throughout the entire process and were very flexible when our guest numbers fluctuated due to Covid. Went in to inquire about a birthday cake. The lady at the front said it would be $90 for a solid color 6" round cake. I don't think the dollar sign on this yelp page is accurate (Should be $$$). I give a 3 Star simply because the cakes in the display looked nice. Before we even discussed what size I would prefer, all of what I thought were simple designs apparently were not able to be done according to the lady upfront, such as painting words on the front of the cake. I was told that they would only be able to pipe words on the cake or put it on the board, not paint it on the front. Yet I see a cake directly on the businesses Instagram page that clearly displays painted words on the front. I don't believe the service I received was a great representation of this business. read more

dom da da da.... dom da da da.... DRUM ROLL PLEASE..... Saved my 500th review for my wedding cake consultation vendor. I have been to 2 of the Bridal Extravaganzas, one right after I just got engaged in 2012 and again Jan 2013. We tasted a few cake vendors but Sweet Treets was the best tasting. We went down there to taste a few different cake flavors, and we chose to taste what I am sure are the best 4 flavors. 1) Red velvet with cream cheese filling 2) Italian cream - it has toasted coconut!!! 3) Carrot cake with cream cheese filling 4) Raspberry cheesecake (it was light colored cake with cream cheese frosting with grahm cracker sprinkle and raspberry filling. OMG... tasted like heaven. We got an estimate for what we wanted, serving around 75, which we might get at least serving 85 or more to keep the topper.. and we were quoted around $337. The deposit required is $150 to hold the date. The cake delivery fee is $50 (which was included in the $337). Not bad. Also as a side note, anything not edible we are required to bring to her to decorate the cake with, ie. broaches, ribbons, fresh flowers etc. I think this places makes esquisite cakes, delicious cakes, and were very friendly to us. I never felt looked down upon which can happen with wedding vendors! She was very sweet to us and since my mom is paying for the cake I look forward to ordering my cake from here. Update to follow post wedding! :) also as side note: some cakes come with edible ribbon, if you choose white ribbon its pricer but about $25 for the ribbon and some kind of airbrushing for $35. Using real ribbon maybe a $ saver if that's the way you choose to go. Updating my review. a year ago our cake was dry and frosting a little gritty. Last night... it was incredible. Every person who had a piece of cake made the same noises and sounds and said "whoa".... this place means business. The chocolate cake was moist, rich but not too rich if that makes sense and the buttercream frosting was smooth and delicious. Not only was our cake gorgeous but simply perfect. Honestly we had a tasting with the company before our wedding back in April or May to determine our wedding cake baker and we were very disappointed. We sat in a segregated room like we were being interrogated by the FBI, with a man who had no sense of humor and he acted as if he had not been involved in weddings at all before. It is supposed be a fun and exciting event when tasting and choosing a baker for your wedding, I've had more fun at the DMV. Instead he pushed us out the door very quickly as soon as we paid our fee. So instead we paid another baker in Cedar Park much more, who actually cared about what we wanted and didn't rush us out the door, very friendly sweet people. Such an uncomfortable experience, I felt like we didn't quality for a Lamborghini so he pushed us out the door immediately. If I were you I would sit him down and talk to him or let him go. read more

After contacting them via their online submission form, they sent back an email indicated they could make the cake and asked for information on what we were looking for so they could send an estimate. The carrot cake filling was the right consistency. Not too dry and not too raw tasting. I would have to agree with some of the other reviews in that the cupcakes are of regular/small size. So yes, a bit on the pricey side for what you get, however, what I did get was GOOD. Not quite knock my socks off insanely awesome, but GOOD. On the verge of VERY GOOD, but not quite. My only real and serious beef with these cupcakes is that they are the tiniest minis I have ever seen, as if someone confided in the baker "Dej has given up sugar; do help her." I ordered a gender reveal cake a week from the date I needed it. I understood their website required a two week minimum for special orders but they were very accommodating and flexible. I emailed them a picture of the design I wanted while I was consulting with the staff and had my friend call later that day to confirm what color to dye the inside of the cake. The cake was ready on time without any complications and was absolutely tasty! The cake looked just like my picture, and although they improvised a little on small details, it made the whole cake look special. I had a wonderful experience ordering my cake from Sweet Treets and recommend anyone needing a special order cake start here! They don't seem to pick up the phone when you call but they listen to messages. My only concern was that no one returned my friend's phone call to confirm they knew which color to dye the cake, but they must have gotten the message cuz they got it right. When I took the cake stands back to the business I told them how wonderful their cake was, but my daughter and her husband only got a bite of it. Once we sat down for a tasting at their shop, we knew we had made the right decision, and boy did they deliver. They made our main three tiered cake vegan for me, two large sheet cakes for the rest of the guests, and while I admit that I didn't get the chance to eat much of it on my wedding day, I did take a whole tier home with me to devour. It is clear that their focus is on wedding cakes and desserts for other special occasions (which I'm sure is where the money is), so they are not too concerned about the people who come in to buy a few cupcakes.
