Unfortunately, both of our waffle bowls were a stale, which was a bummer. My ice cream, though, was SO good! The huckleberry cheesecake paired perfectly with the cookies & cream, and the cheesecake bites made it even better. They also give you a really generous serving, so you definitely get your money's worth. My friend wasn't as impressed with her flavors and was pretty disappointed with her combination. They have a huge selection of ice cream flavors, plus plenty of other options if ice cream isn't what you're craving, including drinks, snacks, fudge, and taffy. Very Disappointing Experience -- Politics Should Never Come Before Customer Service…read more I've eaten here before (local from Klipsan), and the food has always struck me as pretty typical diner fare--nothing particularly exceptional, but certainly nothing to complain about. Unfortunately, my most recent experience had very little to do with the food and everything to do with how customers are treated. My friend was wearing a President Trump hat when we entered. Rather than simply serving us as paying customers, the staff confronted him about the hat and ultimately refused to serve him and made it clear that he needed to leave. Regardless of your political beliefs, that is an incredibly unprofessional and inappropriate way to treat a customer. A restaurant should be a place where people can sit down, have a meal, and be treated with basic courtesy--even when their political views differ from those of the people working there. I suppose we should have paid more attention to the political messaging displayed outside the restaurant, but we never expected that someone's political affiliation--or simply wearing a political hat--would determine whether they were welcome inside. There are plenty of other places to spend my hard-earned money where I can enjoy a meal without being confronted or judged over a political hat. For me, that's where I'll be spending it from now on. The food may be ordinary diner fare, but treating customers this way is anything but good business.
