Great little local market for most of your needs. We've come here a bunch of times and been happy with everything. Today we bought 1 small bunch of Green Onions and noticed after leaving that they cost $25.89 said they were organic on the receipt UT they weren't, they were regular Green Onions from Mexico. So we obviously went back. Found it was a simple checker mistake. We got charged for about 15 bunches. Actual cost $1.99 They refunded our money and gave us the Green Onions for free. read more

Passed on the deli section, despite having fried chicken on the brain. Duly noted though on the alcoholic front...huge party buckets, nice selection of whiskeys, and other spirits. read more

This place is like walking into the twilight zone. Outdated layout, cluttered, terrible customer service, rude employees, disgusting porta-potty bathrms (yupp, thats where your kiddos will be sent if they need to use the restroom), many expired items, attempts to pass off dusty shelf items "on sale", and miserable vibes. Sad to say after two years of being a local nothing has changed, doesnt matter if youre from out of town or a resident, youll receive the same mundane entitled attitudes from low wage workers. Me and my boyfriend live close by and we went in to grab a few things for dinner and my boyfriend noticed Rotten meat that had been marked down the same day! They were really trying to sell that to people. Not only that but everytime we go in and have an older cashier they act like we are interrupting their day. I've worked two years in customer service and even I treat them better than they treat customers. read more

Awe come on Sid's...you seriously are missing an opportunity to have the only quality meat and fish market in the area. The fresh meats and fish were so sad! Much worse quality than Walmart! Please upgrade asap for the locals as well as long term visitors. Please add Alexandre Organic Vat (low) pasteurized milk so we can make our homemade kefir and yogurts. Please add GT'S Synergy live kombucha in glass. Please add Uncle Dan's powdered ranch mix. Please add more organic choices in everything. Bulk nuts and such would really be a great offering. I was just in the store and bought a box of dog food, when I got hm I noticed that it was expired. I went back to the store not more then 15 min later and talked to the very nice cashier that had helped me and she told me I needed to talk to the manager. I waited and told the manager what had happened and explained that I trough my receipt in the trash outside the store. The very unfriendly manager said I could not get a refund without my receipt, but I could get another dog food. I explained that all the others on the shelf were also expired. I went out and even went through the trash outside the store, but did not find my receipt. I was able to prove I bought it with my bank app, but that would not work. I asked if they could pull the receipt and never got an answer. I guess the question was to much to understand. I am a local and I am in that store all the time it's not like I was trying to pull a scam and that is how she made it seem. I would have loved to have just gotten another one off the shelf, but you see this store has a real problem with things being expired. Yes it was my fault for not checking the date and for throwing out my receipt, but there should have been something else they could have done. I also work in customer service and have seen how this manager acts to others when she does not get her way and let me tell you it is ugly. I hope you all make sure to keep your receipt and Never have to deal with this manager for this issue. I guess not all of us are trained in good customer service! read more

I'd like to give it more since it's a handy , fairly large market. I think I'd have given it 2 stars but the checkout guys are really friendly. The store was overwhelmed with Christmas candy. I wish I took a photo bc words can't adequately describe it. We stopped here at end of October and it was overwhelming with Halloween then, but not like this. Every shelf, all along the floor at the edges of the freezers, vegetable coolers, and grocery shelves, with enormous free standing displays at every turn and even temporary displays up high across the aisles. Also, there's plenty of alcoholic beverages to buy. So honestly, it's not really a pleasant place to shop. They had the carrots and celery I needed, and a nice selection of hummus. I'd suggest they bring in more fresh, quality food- good baked goods, healthy snacks, quality frozen food, good deli section of sliced cheeses and meats- I don't know what else but clearly, if they lighten up on the candy and alcohol, there'd be a lot of room to explore good stuff! read more

Small but nice place to shop with a wide variety of groceries! It doesn't have everything, but still a great place to shop!

Have frequently visited the Peninsula for decades and as far as Seaview/Long Beach goes, it's the only full grocery game in the vicinity. Apparently it has come under new ownership the last year and the net result is a huge jump in prices, far, far beyond recent inflation figures. Romaine lettuce? $4.99 a head. Iceberg lettuce? $6.99 a head. And the list goes on and on. I suppose ownership can feel the satisfaction of gouging tourists for what the market will bear, but punishing the locals is unconscionable. There are two fine markets 15 minutes north in Ocean Park that are worth the drive, for variety, quality and fairness. Or do like we do, buy before we head to the Peninsula and do as little put up with Sid's pricing. Oh, and their employees look overworked and unhappy. What a mess. read more

IGA grocery in a small town. They carry more product than the usual small town grocery stores which is great. Good selection of produce and dry goods. Grocery also carries a wide selection of wines and spirits. Store is clean, well organized and staff are friendly and helpful! read more

First I would like to say they get two stars for being open on Christmas even later than normal. I feel really bad for their employees but I do appreciate it. But I don't like the fact that every time I go in there is an employee, in uniform somewhere in the store walking around without a mask on without one even around their ear or their neck. When they expect all the rest of us to follow the posted rules, you'd think that their employees, especially while in uniform, would try to set an example. Also their meat prices are ridiculous and the meats not cut evenly. But for the most part their employees do always have a good attitude and are pleasant to be around read more

A bit pricey, but it's a resort town. Smaller than Okie's in Ocean Park, but better prices. Produce was very nice for an independent grocery and actually better than most large chain stores. Meat department was well stocked with a decent selection. read more

Sid's is such a great market here in Seaview. You can really get the feel of coastal life here at Sid's. The people that work here and shop here are really what make it great. My husband and I are here on our honeymoon and a local randomly gave us $10 on our gift card we were about to dispose of. He said "just repaying an act of kindness." We told him thank you and that we were here on our honeymoon. The Market offers a variety of meats, breads, fruits, veggies, health + beauty products, etc. If you need a can opener though, you might look elsewhere! read more

The only functioning grocery store in the area, prices are higher than groceries in Hawaii, unless its an ad item. During kite festival (maybe other times too?) they setup outdoor tent with 'farmers market' vegetables, a few good deals there. So, if you are here on vacation, remember to bring a spice box and things like vegetable oil ($7.99 for your standard 48oz bottle vs $4.50 at a 'normal' store), bring as much as you can from home. There is reasonably priced grocer in Ocean Park if you're up that way. Cant believe someone thought prices were similar to Fred Meyer, they are MUCH higher. But they're the only game in town, fresh vegetables, clean, fairly well stocked. If you're wanting fresh seafood head to Ilwaco (Ole Bobs, Jessies). read more

Really nice seeing new owners who care about the store. I like the new deli and the expanded produce section. I give it three stars because when we went to the deli, the employees in the back prepping food weren't wearing ANY gloves. I watched a woman mix a bowl of salad with her BARE hands then pick up handfuls of the salad and put it in containers for the deli. My husband and I literally stood there staring. You'd see our jaws drop but we had masks on. I really hope a manager or owner sees this and makes changes I deff won't be getting anything from the deli and I've told my family as well. I was impressed with the amount of grocery items this store has been such a little building. It's not the nicest store it's not the newest store but clearly they have figured out how to take care of the customers that live there and that visit and I think it's a great place to shop if you're driving by and need to get some stuff. I know this is a grocery store in a small town...but...almost all the milk was expired and cartons were not cold to the touch. In the produce section, ice was keeping the open faced coolers cold. I am guessing the inspectors dont make it out this way much. Not much selection and prices are higher than they would be in a more populated area...wouldn't suggest waiting until you get to town to buy your groceries. read more

In this part of the world, there aren't many grocery stores, so Sid's is the one! This store is crowded during the summer with the beach crowd, so I always try to park on the street out front or in the side parking lot. The front lot reminds me of an accident waiting to happen. Inside, they have all the things you'd expect in a grocery store, plus "beachy" type items like coolers, ice, etc. The prices are what you'd expect -- a little on the high side. We went to Sid's market for groceries everyday while on vacation on the Peninsula. They never disappointed! For a small, tourist town grocery store, I was pleasantly surprised by their fair prices and selection. They have beautiful produce! The cashiers were all very friendly and helpful, and the place is impeccably clean. Besides great produce, they have a full hot and cold deli and bakery, and a great beer selection. read more

Nothing special but nothing bad. Prices are slightly higher since it's a tourist town. Easy to find and not far from anything else, so that helps. Just a few blocks from our resort - how convenient! Red Box movies available in front of the market and easy parking. We were going to grill some meat and fix a few sides so we got some pork chops, chicken breasts, and boxed mashed potatoes, pasta, and rice. Prices were what I was used to for the foods we purchased - not higher than a Safeway or Fred Meyer since it was a small market in a small town, which I was very pleased with. Also had hot items like chicken strips available. If I'm back in Long Beach and staying at a resort with a full kitchen again, I will definitely be coming back to this place to stock up the pantries and fridge! read more
