After we parked, we walked inside and headed towards the salad bar/ hot bar food area. After looking around (there is also a counter that you can order made to order sandwiches and burritos), I ended up deciding to purchase the following: Peanut Chicken Sesame Noodle Salad, $8.99- This was quite a massive portion so I only ended up eating about 1/3 of it and then had the rest over the next few days (I ended up mixing it with some chopped cucumbers and tomatoes that I had to make a large salad). I loved the peanut sesame dressing and noodles in this salad but wished there was more chicken. Mayak Egg Noodle Bowl, $8.99- My husband picked this salad for himself but I didn't have any. He thought it was good and appreciated something fresh, as his bowl had shredded cabbage, like my salad, and cucumbers and shredded carrots. Pumpkin Pie, $6.99- My husband saw this small pumpkin pie and decided to get it because he is such a big fan of it. I actually don't like pumpkin as much as when I was much younger. But I did like this pie and thought the flavors were well balanced, not too overly sweet. ---------------------------------------- (Total= $24.97) I really appreciated that the little dining area (there is also an outdoor dining area as well but because it had rained previously, we opted to sit inside) had plastic bowls and plates available for you to put your food in. This was helpful for me to be able to thoroughly mix my noodle salad since the dressing was mostly on the bottom. Then after I mixed it, I just put it back in the plastic container and only left about 1/3 of the salad in my bowl to eat. If I lived in this area, I would definitely be a regularly of this market (specifically for the prepared food area).

I am an astute shopper - I'm expert on using their app, clipping their coupons, reading the ads before I shop, etc., and to boot I worked grocery early in my long career. These were genuine errors. We've had to endure a near year-long revamp of the store, its nearly finished, and I've yet to to see ANYWHERE any improvement in the experience. Its mind boggling how much money they spent to achieve NOTHING. When I was a checker, they came out with the most efficient way to process items; customer puts product on belt, the employee scans it and puts it right in the shopping bag. Boom, handled once! Super efficient! A few years ago some idiot with no clue how checkstands operate came up with the bright idea of having the checker scan it, put it on another belt, where another employee bags it. Handled TWICE. And this store NEVER has 1:1 checker/bagger. Today there were FIVE checkers, and ONE bagger. Fred Meyer continues its increasing abuse of plastic. Too many instances to write here.

This was carefully sliced thin, packaged, and wrapped carefully, which was duly noted and greatly appreciated. We paused at window counter seats and had to sample the purchase before departing. Absolutely delicious! Helped elevate a meal the next day too. I may have to return to indulge in one of their Italian sandwiches. Update: we did return to dine onsite at the same window counter seats (6/22/25). The Homie had the Hot Meatball ($14). Meaty with zesty sauce. Located in the parking lot of the indoor garden store, parking was easy to find. I would estimate a dozen or so vendors, with many I didn't recognize as repeats from Sunday Market. Live music. Vendors included: -Two food booths (Blue Scorcher with baked goods and Monte Alban with Mexican food), as well as two food trucks, one vegan and the other selling bowls of some sort. -Fresh ice teas -Meats including short ribs and lamb -Cranberry juice -Fresh eggs -Goat cheeses -Lots of veggies, herbs, fruit, and plants -Unique jams (e.g. kiwi) and the best garlic pesto I've ever had - free samples! There is also an info booth, Master Gardener booth, and a booth for kids activities. Apparently there is a pie walk too! Pets not allowed, but I noticed a sign that says the volunteers are available to watch them for you. Love that they have stuff here that isn't easily available at the local grocery stores, including bok choy, golden raspberries, and Thai basil plants.
