House made jerky
Vanessa S.

Stopped by here just for their jerky. It was $25 per pound which was on the pricey side but it was delicious. They have sandwiches, HUGE pickles and even pickled asparagus! The quality of the jerky was good and loved the fat on it. They had treats for the dogs! Pig ears, snouts, bone marrow. Man I thought it was stuff I could buy lol. Will definitely try their meats next time. I was eyein a cheddar jalapeno hot dog! I had a long day ahead of me with No cooler

Crispy and delicate dill pickle that is not overpowered by the vinegar or garlic.
James R.

Brief update: I purchased one of their dill pickles. Typically the garlic or vinegar overpowers most dill pickles. Their dill pickle is probably the finest I ever tasted! A terrific balance of dill, vinegar and other spices that results in a very crispy and delicate flavor.

We recently bought two filet mignons. Tender, flavorful...pure delight. Great people too. Give them your business and keep them in town!

Very helpful staff & excellent meat. Their top sirloin steaks are better than you can get in a regular grocery store or restaurant.

No! This place was…read morereally disappointing. Came here based on reviews, but I. would caution anyone to steer clear of this place. It started with flat champagne drinks. That's just a fail, and it suggests a place that doesn't bother keeping things fresh. It kind of went downhill from there. We were looking for nice fresh fish and chips, wile we were out along the coast. We live near the coast ourselves, and are no strangers to good seafood. We decided to do the Cod and the Halibut fish and chips. While the halibut seemed fresh, the cod was waxy and looked old, and frankly i found it somehow mildly nauseating. I couldn't bring myself to teat it. The batter was crsipy, but lacked seasoning and tasted really flat (cardboard?). Aside from that, the coleslaw seemed pretty old soggy. Gross. Not impressed at all - some of the worst fish and chips I have ever had. Some people may like this kind of food - but i will actively avoid this place the next time in Astoria. Hard pass. i'm nauseous just thinking back to my experience here. Could hardly get away fast enough...

The crab louie salad was underwhelming in both size and flavor. We spent over $60 and didn't feel like we got much. So what is the name of this place?

Astoria Co+op, which is across the street from a Shell Gas Station, is a market that has a little…read moresalad bar and deli that also sells prepared meals and even has a little dining area for you to eat your food. Because we were driving through on our road trip, we decided to make a stop here for a late lunch this last Tuesday afternoon, around 2:15 pm. After we parked, we walked inside and headed towards the salad bar/ hot bar food area. After looking around (there is also a counter that you can order made to order sandwiches and burritos), I ended up deciding to purchase the following: Peanut Chicken Sesame Noodle Salad, $8.99- This was quite a massive portion so I only ended up eating about 1/3 of it and then had the rest over the next few days (I ended up mixing it with some chopped cucumbers and tomatoes that I had to make a large salad). I loved the peanut sesame dressing and noodles in this salad but wished there was more chicken. Mayak Egg Noodle Bowl, $8.99- My husband picked this salad for himself but I didn't have any. He thought it was good and appreciated something fresh, as his bowl had shredded cabbage, like my salad, and cucumbers and shredded carrots. Pumpkin Pie, $6.99- My husband saw this small pumpkin pie and decided to get it because he is such a big fan of it. I actually don't like pumpkin as much as when I was much younger. But I did like this pie and thought the flavors were well balanced, not too overly sweet. ---------------------------------------- (Total= $24.97) I really appreciated that the little dining area (there is also an outdoor dining area as well but because it had rained previously, we opted to sit inside) had plastic bowls and plates available for you to put your food in. This was helpful for me to be able to thoroughly mix my noodle salad since the dressing was mostly on the bottom. Then after I mixed it, I just put it back in the plastic container and only left about 1/3 of the salad in my bowl to eat. If I lived in this area, I would definitely be a regularly of this market (specifically for the prepared food area).

Lots of different items that are not found in national chains. HOWEVER, I know the items are organic/local but we thought the prices were extremely high. Did not make a purchase.
