Buying in bulk to get a better price. Now? It feels like it's only a bulk option, not better prices. However, not worse prices either, so that's saying something. It doesn't have the best atmosphere, but it's not a store I need great atmosphere from. It's not a bad atmosphere either, which is good. It won't deter you from doing your shopping as long as necessary. As for the customer service, it's also about as expected. Maybe slightly above average, but that'd be personal preference at most. Overall, "Chef's Store" doesn't hold a candle to Cash & Carry. If you're looking for what this store provides, it should do it with flying colors. Especially for restaurants, its main customers.

Well I go here when I am hosting people or cooking in bulk. I get 5lbs loafs of mozzarella here for my pizza cooking, massive bags of chocolate chips if I'm making dozens of cookies, all sorts of large quantities of frozen appetizers, giant chunks of delicious cheese for appetizers, even bags of ice are cheaper than the grocery (and larger). I thought Costco had me covered on bulk items, but it's really not the same (and I love Costco). I shop at both. In my opinion Chef Store bulk cheese is unbeatable. Good selection and fantastic bulk prices. Highly recommend checking it out. I wish I had more occasions to take advantage of their cheese deals.
