Mmm this place is pretty fantastic. It is a bit tucked back from HWY 99, so you'll have to be paying quick attention. Also, you can only take a right turn out of the parking lot towards 217, so you might want to drive through the strip mall parking lot if you need to go East. That being said, this store is freaking awesome. Perfect for all of your food service/restaurant or bulk purchase needs. I will say that it can be a bit more spendy than ordering direct from a vendor, however, if you need something right away, it's not so bad! And some of the items are truly a good deal. I stopped in here to pick up coffee bar type items. They had everything I was looking for: stainless steel milk froth pitchers, espresso shot cup, syrup pumps, and the LARGEST, most extensive coffee syrup selection I have ever seen. This spot is definitely worth checking out and the staff are super cool too. read more

I left my lil cash wallet there by mistake earlier this week and it was, in fact, in the Lost and Found bin with ALL the $ in it! Some one had found it, and handed it in to the office! US Foods sells food stuffs in larger size bags and quantities, it's like a smaller Costco for restaurants. The goal is to keep price per pound lower. I"m not sure if it works 100% of the time however you can find some items here that are a great deal! As normal, be selective on your purchases. They have a very large cold rooms; one for meats and seafood another cheese and produce. and another for odds and ends. Take your jacket if your going into the cold room. The check out staff is friendly. I can't speak on the the customer service level while shopping because no one asked me if I needed assistance. Maybe, that speaks to the level? There were several employees walking around but they seem to keep to themselves. I will continue to go back, they have a few deals. read more

I stopped into US Foods this week as I was in search of peanut oil. Costco wasn't carrying peanut oil and Winco only had a massive size available. I was able to get exactly what I needed for a specific recipe for this weeks menu! The store is clean and typically well stocked with a variety of items. I specifically like shopping here for pantry items, but they also carry fresh and frozen foods. I appreciate they carry many of the name brand items I often look for when cooking, but they also have brands I'm not as familiar with and some I intentionally avoid. Take your time reviewing the products to ensure you are purchasing a quality product. The workers are friendly. While this is not my normal grocery stop, I do frequent US Foods when I'm looking for items I often can't find or need to purchase in larger quantities. US Foods CHEF'STORE - Grocery Near Me - Tigard, Oregon

Formerly Cash & Carry and Smart Foodservice Warehouse, US Foods CHEF'STORE is a store that I get into trouble in really quick. The baking supplies selection is phenomenal and prices are much lower than you'd find most anywhere else, sometimes even Costco. The meat department is also a wonder. The big refrigerators and freezers are chock full of anything you can think of. I always grab a half dozen Cornish hens to keep on hand in my own freezer. And if you like lamb, leg of lamb specifically, this is the place to buy it. The seasoning and spice aisle is great too. I know it's not a good practice to buy these things in bulk but if you know you're going to use a 30oz container of fennel seed (my husband uses a lot of fennel when he makes sausage) it will save you lots of money to buy in bulk. It's still a no-frills shopping experience. Long bed carts and everything is boxed at checkout. Parking is still easy but is busiest on weekends when restaurant and food truck owners stock up it seems. No membership required and I've never been in the store when it's crowded. Good place to consider next time you need a big haul. read more

Came here because a friend recommended the store for prosciutto, of all things. She'd mentioned that Smart Foodservice (formerly Cash & Carry) also carried big packs of fruit & vegetables and baking supplies, so I decided to check it out. I did find the prosciutto, which was sizable and well-priced, as promised. I also found that more than half of the people in the store were not wearing face coverings, and the store was doing nothing to promote physical distancing or encouraging utilizing personal protection. We're in the midst of a pandemic, y'all, but apparently at Smart Foodservice it's business as usual. The kicker was when the package of spicy capicolo I bought started going bad within a week of being opened. Cured meat should last more than a week in the fridge, yo - it's made to hang out in caves for weeks. Luckily, I was able to return it, although I was a bit worried because their return policy couldn't be found anywhere on the receipt or their website. I don't think I'll be trying my luck there again. read more

This is related to the Smart & Final grocery stores in CA, but it's definitely for bulk purchases and wholesale for restaurants. It mostly carries items in far larger sizes than the average home consumer can use, unless you're planning a huge party. But what I go for is the Torani syrup. They have an enormous selection of regular and sugar-free syrups, at amazing prices. Like $3.87/bottle amazing! They have a couple other brands of syrups too, if you want to branch out and try other flavors. No frills, low prices, open every day and they take Visa/MC. read more

I think it's going though a bit of a struggle with the change in ownership but overall they are reliable and solid for a good deal. They are open really early but also close really early. What a fantastic store! I am not a restaurant owner, however I do 99% of the cooking in our household, so I shop a lot. I found this place to be well stocked, organized and have a very friendly staff! The products that are carried are varied, great quality and easy to find. Awhile back on my first visit, I needed to feed a local high school football team. Got everything I needed in 1 quick and pleasantly surprising stop! Piece of cake! This place has taken a major dive. It used to a favorite place to go. Stock levels suck. Meat dept constantly out of ribs, brisket and pork butts. But with all that said the employees by and large are unapologetic and unhelpful. They make no apologies when you make a special trip and they are out of stuff which is frequent. They are slow to open up registers when the line gets long. They have zero sense of urgency. Costco is better even though it is a hassle getting in and out. I miss the old Cash and Carry days. Who ever is in charge of ordering needs to be reassigned. If the supply chain is the problem than corporate needs to step it up. Whatever they are doing is piss poor to say the least. read more

I don't have costco/sam's club memberships because I don't think it's necessary to buy giant tub of mayonnaise, ketchup, or any other GIANT food size items since my household only consist of my awesome self and my awesome DL. :-). I stumbled to Cash & Carry because of my dear mom. She needed to stop by there. So we went, walked in, and I was not surprised with the selection of GIANTS goods here. Until I walked into their walk in freezer. I was pretty impressed with what I found in there. They have CHEESE..lots and lots of it. Not only the basic cheddar & American, but also gourmet cheese. You can hug a giant roll of Smoked Gouda. Not only cheese, you can also slobber all over rolls of prosciutto (without other people knowing). I'm pretty impressed with the selection of cured meats here. Also this is the place to shop for your spices. They have wide variety of spices in pretty big containers with affordable price. Cash & Carry really made me wish that I have a big ass family (not literally, but you know what I mean). read more

I can't believe this is the first time being in this shop even though I live within walking distance and passed by this place everyday. (well, it doesn't help this Cash & Carry location sits directly across from the Tigard Costco. Hello samples and cheap pizza!) While this place does cater towards food service businesses (or polygamist communes...haha I kid) the prices are the same whether you have a business or not. And the produce selection, especially the vegetables, are better than that of Costco. A lot of the prices are on par with if not cheaper than Costco too. (hello 3lbs of prewashed spinach for $3! And what is this, a giant bag of wild arugula for $7?!) The meat section is impressive, both in price and selection but I didn't buy any because 10 lb slabs of beef or pork are a tad overkill. (yes, all of the meat are HUGE slabs. Great for big barbecues and get togethers but not so great for a small family of 4) And you gotta hit the syrup mecca: the aisle of glorious Da Vinci ($3.98), Torani($4.19), and Monin ($5.49-5.98) syrups. Regular and sugar free. The frozen food section was huge but browsing this section made me sad. All those pub foods and happy hour specials I consumed...turns out they probably came from places like this. Premade and frozen. :( There's a fair amount of the restaurant supply hardware (hotel pans, tongs, etc) here but the prices are kinda high (try Pitman's or Rose's for those) The bread aisle that sits directly in front of the restaurant supply equipment have a fair selection of Franz and Oroweat but the prices are on par with Costco (check out the Oroweat outlet store or the Franz outlet for super cheap bread.) Check out was a breeze and the employees were quite friendly. And of unlike the name, they do indeed take credit cards. Even American Express so don't feel like you need to walk in with a wad of cash. As long as you're fairly knowledgeable about market prices, you can score some great deals here. Looks like someone will be hitting this store more often! sidenote: as an Asian, I want to mention that some of the Asian foods like rice and tobiko (orange fish roe that's used in sushi rolls) are priced rather high. Came here yesterday 5/26/18 for coffee flavoring syrup. This is the bast place to get balk restaurant food products without having to pay for a yearly membership like Costco. Plus Costco is very limited on variety and dont carry coffee flavoring syrup.The staff is very friendly and helpful and the prices are very reasonable.
