Sometimes finding things in the larger stores can be overwhelming but Food Depot ticked all the boxes for finding what I needed - clean wide aisles, decent variety of brands, fresh produce at very reasonable prices, helpful employees, bright lighting to be able to read labels, and a large selection of items to celebrate the upcoming Chinese New Year. Littt le to no service or assistance despite my spending a small fortune there. I was told to "go look at what we have" Had to sort through a yard of about 50 tubs. Found the two I wanted and then was told that a shower bath combo was "sold to someone else already" even though there were about 20 of them out there. I comprimised after having driven all the way there, and purchased two tubs showers and multiple plumbing supplies. Was then offered no assistance in loading them or instructions on what works for packing them. They then fell off the truck on I 84. part o that was my fault, but only one small part of the shower fell off and broke. I went back to buy that part, but was told that I had to buy the entire shower again. There was no remorse for having no one to assist me in loading, or to tell me the best way to pack them on a trailer. Partly my fault, but the lack of customer service or concern seemed horrible to me. I had to buy the entire shower again, they gave it to me at cost. If I didn't have a whole day into it 7 plus hours, and a plumber waiting for the install, I would have brought everything back. No respect or service from this store, I'll never go back.

My recent experience has been nothing but a massive headache: Non-Existent Customer Service: There is no 800 number to call, and if you try calling their physical store, the automated message explicitly tells you they won't help with online orders. Broken Promises: They claim a 24-48 hour response time for messages, but it's been 4 days since my last update. My first return request glitched out, and my second resulted in them demanding photos of the shipping box (which arrived completely bashed in). Hidden Fees & Poor Practices: Then the only option is to return online with an additional cost of additional $6.95, completely hiding the fact that you can return items to a store to avoid the fee ... supposedly. Where are these products actually from? Despite the branding, my package shipped from Texas. I bought this bag to support the economy of Portland, anything else is simply unappealing. I am so annoyed and exhausted from trying to get a simple return processed. I cannot wait to get rid of this product. When you see Powerade 32oz. bottles here for 89 cents, what they used to be before CoViD at FM, and are now between $1.49 and $1.99 now... dang... going to FM for everything is like throwing money down the drain... or like giving welfare to Kroger and their shareholders.
