The owner (such a sweetheart), showed me a huge variety of other silver chains and in shorter lengths, and then put the ruby onto the chain she helped me pick out. As I said below, the experience purchasing was nice and the ring we kept is lovely. I'm only doing 4/5 because we tried all the "normal" pathways to resolve the issue, and I shouldn't have to resort to a review campaign to get good customer service for high-end jewelry. Buyer beware! We bought a wedding set at Brilliant Earth in September. In the course of purchasing it, I confirmed their return policy twice (once at the beginning and end of the purchase). The return policy was the ENTIRE reason I pulled the trigger and the purchase was made by the salesperson. This involved two "modifications" including a resize and a switch to 14K gold. AS IT TURNS OUT, this nullifies the return policy. Not only did the sales person NOT warn us of this, they didn't correct us at the end of the purchase when I confirmed the return policy, and the re-size was the salesperson's idea! As it turns out, I love the engagement ring, but I want to return the band and BE is giving us a total run-around. BE MORE TRANSPARENT. Their rings are lovely, the experience was nice in store, but their customer service is terrible. Now I regret the purchase of the ring care because I'm certain they will try to get out of that too.

I really wanted to create a unique custom piece and had been searching around for a jeweler who could provide the right experience. Step 1: While visiting Kassab's I met Cody. I was looking for a very specific marquise stone. I shared my goals with Cody and within a week he had 3 diamonds (all were exactly what I wanted) for me to review. All three were the exact quality, size and price ranges we had discussed I was looking for (all fell on the low end of my budget - thanks Cody!) Step 2: I chose the diamond that day and began designing the custom piece with Danny Kassab, their in-house 3D modeler and designer. I shared my general ideas with Danny and Cody and they were able to make it come to life. One of the best parts about this experience was getting updated renderings of the ring, reviewing them and making small changes in the model to ensure we created the perfect ring. After a few revisions (shout out to Danny and Cody for your patience) we were able to create our perfect engagement ring. I would highly recommend going to Kassab's ESPECIALLY if you want a custom piece (in literally any price range). The modeling and customizing can be done with any size diamond and although customization may sound expensive, it is very budget friendly and you end up with a completely custom piece! They brought it back and said "yep, it was loose." I asked how much and they said no charge. I was wowed. This amazing shop fixed my bracelet, that I didn't even buy from them for free.. The woman who helped us barely spoke. She would hand us rings we pointed to. No consulting, no suggestions. The bands I liked were fairly simple and I noticed they were $1k more than another jeweler I had visited with almost the exact same look. I decided I'd get my two rings elsewhere. We saved $2,500 and ended up with even prettier rings. My fiancé really liked a mashup of two rings they had. Again, no consolation as he explained what he liked. The notes were written down. He asked many questions about weight, feel, etc. Our saleswoman couldn't answer any of it. No surprise, when we went to pick up his ring it was totally wrong. Wrong size, width, etc. We had to explain what we wanted (again) and waited another 4 weeks. We finally got the right band with very little time to spare to start over if he didn't like it the second time. Probably fine if you are buying straight from the case and have no questions. For anything custom or if you want service, SKIP.
