This shop came on my radar from a friend. He recommended this place for transferring firearms. I went in and the process was simple and easy. The FLL process is the long wait anywhere but at least here they make it pleasant. The customer service is good. While waiting for my paperwork to be inputted we had a nice chat and talked about life, military and process for FLL. Great place to get the FLL transfer. I went in the other day to look at rings, and in fact, I found a couple that I would like funny, though the person that came over to me to help (older woman long hair) approached and the first comment out of her mouth was wow you guys smell like weed ... absolutely ridiculously rude to come from somebody that is trying to make their living selling something to you. Just as a reminder we live in Portland, Oregon, and if you're not aware, people can choose to do recreational things that they wish and yes, they even can smell like weed in public so for that store attendant to go out of her way to be rude to us was pretty crazy I wasn't looking for her money. The older blonde woman (there is another word besides "woman" that I would like to call her, and it rhymes with itch) at this pawn shop has got to be the rudest, most unprofessional and condescending cretan I have ever dealt with in my life! We were doing an FFL transfer, and she acts as if she's doing us a favor, like she is the United Way! They are still making a profit, so they are not doing it out of the goodness of their heart. She was rude to me, the person with whom I was doing the transfer and she had no class, and she should definitely do a job that does not involve working with the public. Perhaps she could clean the Honey Buckets after the State Fair, where she can see a reflection of herself! And her fat, middle-aged sidekick was just as rude as her. I had done several FFL transfers in the past, and I even mentioned it to her, thinking that perhaps she would want to treat a repeat customer a bit better. That couldn't have been further from the truth. So much for customer loyalty. I would rather pay more and get better service, than to ever deal with either one of them again! This has been my go-to choice for FFL transfers for several years now, and I've had nothing but excellent experiences. The staff is highly knowledgeable, and they hit the perfect balance between professionalism and good-natured friendliness that I look for in an firearms dealer. One experience that stands out was when I brought my mother in to help her purchase her first semi-auto. While my mother isn't UN-familiar with firearms, she certainly isn't an expert, and she definitely lacked detailed technical knowledge about this specific firearm. The folks working the counter (one of which was the owner I believe) were kind enough to give her several tips about cleaning, maintenance, and general usage. They were kind, patient and polite throughout the process, despite the fact that the shop was quite busy at the time. This really left an impression on me, especially given the fact that this was a private party transfer, so they had almost zero financial incentive to be so helpful. On another occasion, during the worst portion of the Covid ammo shortage, the man working the counter directed me to another pawn shop down the road which carried the exact ammo I was looking for. I noticed a couple negative reviews on here related to their FFL operations, and frankly I find this very surprising given that every one of my experiences has been fantastic. Obviously I can't speak specifically to the nature of these reviews (since I wasn't there), but I will say that these folks take their business, as well as their role as an FFL, very seriously. I strongly suspect that, in times where insanely extended, 7-14 day backlogs are the norm for BGC's, this level of professionalism makes them an easy target for misdirected frustration. I have been to a some pawn shops and majority the sales persons were extremely shady. Meaning not very professional and like "used car sales" shady. Here I was treated professionally, straight-forward with prices, and not waste my time with useless haggling. I delt with the woman that was very clear of what she was willing to take on purchases. I liked I felt I was heard and treated in a business manner. I've read previous reviews and took my chance going in and extremely happy I did. Remember that most reviews from the 1 star persons are just people mad and lashing out they did not get their way and throwing a tantrum, acting out as adult-children. I have never left a negative review for any business... until now. Absolute worst customer service and was from the manager/owner. This has happened on two occasions, once when they low-balled a bike I was trying to sell and just this week (a year later) when I went in looking fo wireless headphones. I asked the man I assume was the owner if they had any to which he vaguely and aggressively motioned in a general corner of the store saying, "if we did they'd be over there." No offer to assist- I had to go find him again though I was the only one in the shop. Upon finding some WAAAY over priced I asked about any deals he might be able to give me based on a sign near the counter reading, "make an offer with cash!" I mentioned that the price he was asking was only $20 less than MSRP and these were well used; might he be able to cut me a deal? He said, " if you can find a better deal somewhere else, you should buy them there". So I did and will not be visiting this establishment ever again. read more

I had never had a gun transferred in my life and I had never worked with this shady pawn shop. I spoke to the owner about the process. She was rude, condescending, and hostile and would not let me get a word edge wise. I then told her I have a hearing / processing disability and I needed her to explain the details. She would not listen at all and then stated she was sending the transferred gun back to the sender and hung up the phone. This owner then called the sender and stated I was mentally unstable and not fit to have a gun and because I gave her a one star review (seriously). Mind you I am a military veteran who served this country with honor ( she was fully aware I am a veteran) Talk about bullying and straight slander. Take your business somewhere else. Excellent experience. My dad recently passed and left a family heirloom to my aunt who lives out of state. Although she had no trouble locating an ffl, it was another story in the beautiful NW... especially if I wanted one near my house. After several phone calls to many different dealers with no luck, I came across TP4M. I hadn't considered a pawn shop before. The experience was excellent. It turns out the shipping process for ffl is quite complicated by government regs. The first time I contacted the store I was given clear instructions on how to proceed. After following the necessary steps, it was pretty straight forward from there. My Advice: ensure the 2 ffls exchange info before you bother bringing the item in for shipping, bring cash, don't seal the box without appropriate paperwork, and be patient! After waiting on the phone for a long time the wife finally answers the phone with a nasty attitude and a bad mood. I asked her a question about a gun and she tells me she doesn't know and to look at her website. She clearly didn't want to help me out. This FFL is not a 2nd amendment supporter. They are purely using their FFL as a means to profit, and are m, in fact, working as an extension of the State of Oregon as a means to restrict our constitutional right to bear arms. The law says that if your "instant" background check is delayed, the FFL is allowed to transfer the firearm to the buyer as long as there hasn't been a denial. The entire point of having this law is so that the govt can't use delays as a de facto way of just preventing people who are legally allowed to guns from obtaining them. Unfortunately, this pawn shop is using their FFL and the 2nd amendment for profit, and restricting people's gun rights in the process. If your background check is delayed, they will not Process your transfer even it's been past the 3 days they have to wait. It doesn't matter if it's been 7 days, 3 months, 6 months, or a FULL year, they won't make the transfer. Their claim is that the state of Oregon will prosecute them if they do. This is complete nonsense. There hasn't been a single FFL that has ever been prosecuted for following the law and processing a transfer after 3 days, and the person at Tigard Pawn 4 More admitted that. This excuse is because they benefit monetarily if you eventually are denied. Even though I won't be denied when, if ever, this insanity ends, they're hoping I will be denied because if you're denied you are forced to forfeit the firearm that you purchased. They all of a sudden get a brand new gun for free, so they've been incentivized to deny American citizens their right to bear arms, and they have no problem being the gun control arm of the State of Oregon. If you are at all concerned that your "instant" background check will be delayed, or even if you know it won't and actually care about the 2nd amendment, I urge you not to use Tigard Pawn 4 More as your FFL for a transfer. You might just end up in purgatory, at the whim of a pawn shop to decide whether they want to allow you the ability to defend your family. I highly recommend seeking out an FFL that cares about the 2nd amendment and actually following the law. read more

I get that everyone has to make money but it seems like they go out of there way to rip people off. Than they turn around and sell the items for about the same price as retail. They had a tool posted on cl. Posted not as a pawn shop. After several email attempts to get them to respond they finally did. With "it's at my pawn shop" and a phone number. No address, no name. I called them to ask where they were and if they had the tool. They did... BUT, when I drove 45 minutes, and waited another 30 as they helped someone else, when it was finally my turn, oh, we must have sold that yesterday. They suck with email and any correct information. If you are looking for a local FFL for an online sale or transfer, these guys are outstanding. I used them for my most recent online purchase, based on the advice from a friend, and I will now tell other gun lovers about them whenever I can. They called me before I even got the email notice from UPS that my rifle had arrived. The gentlemen there were extremely polite & professional while I inspected my rifle. They're also the best deal in town, as their low FFL fee also includes your background check. While waiting for my background check to clear, I did browse and they do have a good varied selection of items for sale. The stickers prices are high but haggling is part of the pawn shop experience. Actually, as pawn shops go, this one has a very cool vibe - they've got a good assortment of everything you'd expect in a P shop - dvds, jewelry, tools, instruments and pawnable items. We happened to stop by for a belt sander (found one, same price as used on eBay, sans shipping and waiting) so we snagged it. But, we almost bought a vintage beer light, some very cool antique fishing lures and other vintage-y stuff. They have signs saying they were willing to negotiate, particularly if you're paying cashola. All in all, I liked the vibe, as a buyer, I would recommend checking it out. Came in to pawn my rifle, asking 400 for it, paid nine new on a deal, punk kid with acne behind the counter goes to look it up on whatever bs site they must be using and tells me they're going for 625 brand new. It's a 1000$ rifle brand new on the makers website, these guys are schysters through and through. Take your stuff elsewhere and don't give these bozos any business. *edit Took my rifle to All That Glitters up the road, they actually know to look up what guns are going for, the clowns at Pawn 4 More just look at current bids or something, inexperienced or shady, either way avoid this pawn shop, go up the road. They will not negotiate prices. They had a used gun at full retail price I asked what the best they could do on it. He said we look our prices up online so we know we're charging a good price. I offered him 5% less than advertised price he said no. Word of advice when looking up prices online look at sold items not for sale items. Idiots. Also they are asking more than MSRP for many of the guns. you can go to any gun shop and pay at least $100 less for any gun. I also saw a $10 straight razor that was in horrible shape and they wanted $109 wtf. And I know what I'm talking about with Razors. It was worth $10 or less lol read more

Originally came here to accompany my boyfriend for a firearm transfer, but they didn't show up so we were looking around and talked to Alan a little bit. Found a great deal on a Kitchen Aid standing mixer and because we had come a ways, he took an extra 15% or so off and we paid cash for it. Absolutely horrible place. Very rude VERY. Also they are extremely unfair on pricing I brought a group of items that I have before a did pawn again at another shop. I can always get between 300-400 dollars depending on shop. They offered me 98 dollars and then argued with me. showing me a set of tools that is no where the same in brand only and not even the same kind as what I was trying to get a loan on telling me that this is what they could sell it for. Needless to say drove to USA pawn and they gave me 350 for it. Just letting you all know not a place I'll ever take my business again. read more
