Top quality product - no crap sold here. Helped me greatly when I had to sell my custom made diamond wedding ring in order to buy car parts for Honda civic read more

So disappointed. A good friend, who introduced me to this store, was a frequent buyer and seller to this location. She recently brought in a ring with a clear stone (suspected diamond) and stamped 14k on the inside shank, to sell. After some back and forth and alleged "testing" she was informed by the staff that the ring was not gold and the stone was not a diamond. They offered her $5 as silver melt. Disappointed, she trusted the staff and was paid out $5. After a month or so, we came back to the store together and I noticed a ring that looked strikingly similar to my friend's ring in the center of the diamond display case. We asked to see it, and to our shock and surprise it was the exact same ring that she had been told had no value. Yet, here it was, on display with a lovely crisp price tag of over $5,900.00. When she asked for clarification about the situation and how they could give her $5 then try to sell it for thousands more, and whether she would receive fair compensation, she was informed that she signed a contract for the $5 and that's all they could do. Upon asking to speak with the owner/manager, the staff member said that they would have the manager call her the next day. The ring was put in an envelope, which they had her write her name and information on, and put away somewhere for the manager. Well, to this day, no response. No phone call from anyone. Nothing. Either my friend got scammed when they told her the ring had no value and then they priced the ring for sale as a 14k white gold ring with a large diamond. Or the ring didn't have any value but looked good enough so they thought they could fool someone to buy it as a real gold and diamond item. Another option, which I am truly giving them the benefit of the doubt here, is that the ring really did test initially incorrectly, then they retested and found it passed. In this instance, they should have contacted my friend to rectify the situation and paid her the difference of the ring's pawn value and the $5 she received. And yes, the ring's identification was traced directly to her $5 sale, as verified by the staff. As my friend (let me remind you that she was a frequent customer as a buyer and seller of mostly jewelry) was never notified of any recalculation, nor contacted by any manager or representative, this whole situation raises major red flags. The following saying is most definitely true: Caveat Emptor - Buyer Beware. read more

I had pawned and sold and bought here many times as a customer. There were items I decided not to hang onto anymore that were pawned here and decided to give it to them/forfeit. I was on the fence of selling them or not and decided to pawn it and see if I felt like I didn't need it to then let it go. Apparently this goes against you as a customer and they keep track of you on their computer, that I wasn't aware of. I came in with the same situation but because I have a history of this (just a few times), they told me I can no longer be a customer to pawning anything anymore at their location. This was never explained to me over the phone when I decided to let go of twice of the items. It was very unprofessional and didn't make me feel safe or appreciated as a customer. They also offered to buy some gold that I know was more than what they offered to buy it at. Out of embarrassment and felt taken advantage of at All That Glitters I went to another pawn shop because of this. A Cut Above Pawn Shop is where I went to compare prices, and they were amazing there! I will never be going back to All that Glitters. I had questions about dollar coins and the guy scrapped the metal over and over and over again and said he would take it only for two for 50 for 1881 Silver Dollar coins and said he knew nothing about them except there silver value, this was at All That Glitters. A Cut Above Pawn Shop was way more professional and knowledgeable with how they handled the products I brought in. The nice gentleman there said the coins you brought in are nice collectibles and he doesn't burn people, he gave me the name of a nice coin shop to take them too instead and get them traded in for silver only based off of the coins condition and history that it's a beautiful coin. With the coins coming from my Grandfathers collection who is no longer here, A Cut Above Pawn Shop was perfect. They pawned the two item for around 150, and offered to buy them around that same price too. All that Glitters would not Pawn them, they refused, and I needed to sell the two coins instead of one coin or they won't buy it and like saying they will buy only the two necklaces together for 130 and that's it. Well that didn't sit with me too well. I'm glad it didn't because their lack of professionalism and knowledge with the coins and valuables I brought in led me to A Cut Above Pawn store instead=they have knowledge on the items you are bringing to them. Don't go to All that Glitters. They didn't know much about the items I brought them, they keep track of your customer habits to consider keeping you as a customer or turning you away. read more

This place was recommended to us. After seeing the reviews we felt good about taking our parent's jewelry to be sifted for authenticity, appraised, and purchased. We had A LOT. Spent over an hour sorting and weighing. Things got a little dicey when the return didn't seem to match the values we found online. There was one gentleman who was kind, helpful, and validating. The other was socially awkward (but tolerable)...until we began asking questions. He stopped making eye contact and was super rude from that moment on. That's when we noticed his name tag read "manager". It took a substantial amount of time for him to test, sort, and weigh. Before the transaction was made, we challenged the value given. He wasn't willing to compromise at all, claiming this was the best he could do. He dared us to go somewhere else. He had placed the precious metals into small envelopes and when we withdrew, he made sure to mention the "envelopes were expensive" and haphazardly dumped the gold and silver jewelry into one of our pre-filled bags. We believe the owner tried to smooth things over by offering help to our vehicle, on our way he asked why we decided not to sell, and explained they are best in the area. We explained there was ZERO gain for us, that this was for a parent in a financially strained situation and that we hoped to be back if the value was as his employee claimed. We appreciated them taking the time to go through over half the jewelry and wanted to do business with them. Thankfully, there were multiple family members involved, and we were all in agreement this required a second look. We took the same exact jewelry to another place. They were fast, efficient and offered us $1000 MORE. The reason we gave 3 stars is because they were very patient, the owner made an effort at the end and the experience with the 2nd employee (who seems like a good human and would probably make a good manager). read more

I was told multiple times I could get $175 for the best projector you can buy without a remote. Came back two days later and they told me no there's no way they can do it without a remote. And I even told them take it for $100 and they still said no. I had done business with them before and thought they were great. Now I gotta say they are trash and try to take you for every dime you so they can make the most absolute money! Criminals behind the counter is what I would say. read more

Wow, Monica, amazing customer service! Monica called me when the last day of my loan was up with hours left. I could have lost my investment if it weren't for Monica taking it upon herself to pick up the phone and make that call. My grandma is smiling down on you, Monica. Thank you from the bottom of my heart! You have a life-long customer now! I love the new location too...! I love to treasure hunt and the reviews made me want to stop in while nearby. Absolutely warm and friendly customer service. I had never been to this specific type of business before and it was a very pleasant experience. I saw a lovely selection of jewelry with great prices and a silent auction going on as well. If you like looking for unique items or are in need of a loan, highly recommend All that Glitters. read more

I live in Vancouver. I saw on Facebook a great deal for an 8 piece Ryobi, 18 volt tool set for 100 dollars at the Tigard ATG location. seemed too good to be true so I called to confirm. The woman who answered put me on hold for quite a while after i asked about it. I was pleasantly surprised when she returned to the phone with confirmation that it was still available. I burned 10 dollars worth of gas getting there through horrible(typical) Portland traffic. When I got there it turns out that she and at least 2 other employees do not know a damned thing about cordless tools. They are also ignorant, or more likely just incompetent, of what they claim to be selling online. But wait, for my inconvenience they offered to let me have one of the movies they're selling for 2 dollars a piece. if you like your time wasted head to All That Glitters in Tigard. Good luck finding competent help when you get there. read more

I actually created a yelp account to review this place. BEWARE of BS: If their systems are down they won't return your items. Even with your redemption(pledge) ticket/receipt. I Pawned an item telling them I'd be back to get it Monday or maybe the same day before close. I called 15 minutes prior to closing just to ensure they were still working as it's New Year's Eve. The woman(I failed to get her name) who answered said their system crashed and they are unable to return my item. I asked why she couldn't take the money, return my property, then process the redemption on Monday when their systems are fixed. That's when the proverbial BS ensued. Not only was she was short with me, she also claimed(I believe falsely) that she was legally not allowed to return my property without first logging it in their system. I informed her I work for the state and that makes little sense. She made a snarky remark " so when your systems crash you still sell renewal tags." I told her of course we do, we are just unable to accept credit cards during the downtime and would 'push' the data once systems are restored. She was dead set on her claim that she couldn't return my property. I asked what's stopping you from grabbing the item listed on the ticket? does your system lock it in a vault which can only be opened with a working computer? so if I come in right now with the money you won't return my stuff? She said, "sure but you won't make it before we close"(still 8 minutes till) I told her I'm in the same complex right now I can see your store. She then said "it won't do you any good, Oregon law treats pawn shops like a bank and it's illegal for us to return your property without processing it in the system." I decided I wasn't going to continue arguing with this clearly unreasonable person. (IMAGE BELOW) No where on the redemption ticket does it state 'property returns are dependent on our computers'. What it does say is that my ticket(and money) are the keys to my property. Never again will I use this service and will report them when I find out who to report them too. Holding my item for three days longer than I desired seems fraudulent. Maybe I'm wrong, but BS shouldn't reign supreme and people should be held accountable. Our phone call took longer than the transaction would have taken. TLDR: use ANY other pawn shop, this one has shady practices. read more

All That Glitters - Back of redemption ticket - Jewelry Near Me - Tigard, Oregon

This place is right along my drag and always advertises jewelry & firearms and power tools and whatnot. It looks pretty clean from the outside so I decided to venture in for some deals on ear bling and firearms to protect my carats. Lol. Anyhow, the ladies that work there are very nice, easy to talk to and pretty helpful, too. It is smaller than other pawn shops I have been in to, but this one is mostly (90% I i seems) jewelry, so that makes sense that it's on the small side. I saw a nice Glock that I was interested in, but they weren't very flexible on price, so no go on that. As far as the jewelry, they have a nice selection of white gold, reasonable prices (not rock bottom) and they have a jeweler that comes in weekly to do repairs and other stuff. I ended up buying some earrings & having them do some minor work on some earrings I bought at an auction that kept wanting to jump off my ears. Now they stay put and the work was reasonably quick and affordable. Overall, nice place, nice folks. Would come back again. read more

Dispite all the bad reviews i thought id give em a try, they were great, very friendly and they gave me what i wanted for my ring.

I am upset to say a woman of color was mistreated by a female worker in front of me. She was not aggressive and never even got rude, but the woman behind the counter just acted irrational when asked for a receipt. She behaved even worse, screaming and "86-ing" the woman of color when she asked for her gun lock and other items to be returned also. I will not be returning to this business, and if I do, NEVER to THIS location! read more

If I could give this location a negative star, I would do so. Today, I stopped into this location and was not only disappointed by the lack of customer service from the greeting on, but then offended by the so called "associate" who turned up his nose for a loan on the most expensive piece I had. Fist of all, he scraped the S#!T out of everything I had, then tossed a 14kt diamond necklace back at me and said, "I'll pass on that one, it's not registering as gold". All that after marking vintage family heirlooms with his scratching stone (Swear to god that he rubbed the hell out of each piece for a good 20 seconds or longer each time, with some real vigor and pressure.) I informed him that this piece had been used previously for a loan and that it was the newest out of the lot, and the highest of quality. He made his offer, to which I replied, "no thank you, I will take my business to the Milwaukie store." I then proceeded to collect my belongings and walked right out and called the Milwaukie location as soon as I got into my car. (Yes, I have been a customer there for so long that they are stored in my phone), checked to make sure they were going to be open for a little while, and drove all the way over to get my "passed on" necklace and other goods loaned upon. This is my second BAD "Customer Service" experience, at this location. And suffice it to say that I will never set foot in that place again. I have been a customer of ATG for well over 20 years now, and shopped at all locations in the Portland metro area, save this one... It's closer to where I currently reside, sure... but not worth it. And on a personal note to today's rude employee of the month; Gary, you might want to remember that it is us, the customers, who make that check you cash on payday available to you. From Beaverton, to SE Portland and especially Milwaukie ATG, Thank YOU all for making it a pleasure to do business with you. And the schmucks in Tigard, you might want to check yourselves, before you wreckedy... well I'm sure you know the rest of that little ditty. Peace out! read more

Whoever was working at the back booth around 4pm yesterday was a total jerk. He was speaking to another customer before me so rudely I almost left. He offered me below what I wanted for my iPad but it wAs more his negative presence and poor attitude that made me walk out the door. Horrible customer service! Don't go Sunday afternoon! read more

Not impressed by the crappy customer service. I was either being talked down to or ignored. Two clerks(Dillon/Jeff) were having an openly sexist and extremely unprofessional conversation that I didn't need to hear. I was glad to get out of there. I found a place to get rid of my old ugly gold chain that paid me a reasonable price without trying to screw me over and without mistreating me for not knowing how a pawn shop works. read more

Melody and Gary are awesome. Great customer service. Will keep coming back *thumbs up*

I love this pawn shop and have been going here since 1996, I am told that I am one of their best customers and they always give me the best prices. If you're in the market for anything from jewelry to tools to firearms to sporting goods, and you're not enchanted with retail outlets, All That Glitters (a pawn shop) is a good first stop in Tigard to see what's available and how much it costs. My fianceé and I visited because we were looking for an engagement ring; she knew about the place because she had bought a nice piece of jewelry there once before. We were not disappointed. The selection of diamond rings was good, and the (male) clerk was knowledgeable and happy to show them to us. We looked at 3 or 4 "single" rings and were ready to choose one when I noticed a diamond wedding set in an adjoining case, and asked to see that. My fianceé and I were smitten with the quality, the antique design, and the brilliance of the diamonds, so I made a downpayment and we put the wedding set in layaway. Six months later I paid them off, but before presenting them I had to have them resized for my fianceé. No problem: All That Glitters has a jeweler at its Division St. store, and he resized the rings for me for a small fee. Not only that, but while I was waiting, I found great deals on a circular saw and a palm sander! Talk about a happy guy... Bottom line: if you're a bargain shopper, garage-sale devotee, or occasional visitor to Goodwill or Value Village etc., don't forget to visit a good pawn shop like All That Glitters to see if they have what you want. P.S.-- my fianceé had her rings cleaned and appraised shortly after I gave them to her, and they were valued at about 15% more than we paid for them! read more
