As a brand-new gun owner, walking into a gun shop can be a little intimidating when you don't know all the terminology or exactly what you're doing. I brought my SIG P320 XCarry into J&B to have a ROMEO-RS PRO optic and FOXTROT2R light installed, and Brandon couldn't have made the experience any better. He stopped what he was doing, took the time to install everything correctly, zeroed the optic, walked me through what he was doing, answered every question I had, and made sure I understood my new setup before I left. At no point did I feel rushed or talked down to. He genuinely cared about doing the job right and helping a new shooter learn. The level of customer service was exceptional and far beyond what I expected. They went above and beyond to make sure I left with everything installed correctly and the confidence to use my new setup. Customer service like that is incredibly rare these days. They've earned my business for life, and I won't be going anywhere else as long as I live in the Portland area. Whether you're a seasoned shooter or buying your very first firearm, I can't recommend Brandon and the entire team at J&B Firearm Sales highly enough. Thank you again for taking such great care of me. You've definitely gained a lifelong customer. J&B Firearms in Beaverton is fantastic. The guys are knowledgeable, helpful, fair and honest. They honor the 3-day pickup if NICS hasn't cleared, which is a big plus. Glad to have found them--highly recommended! read more

I selected J&B Firearms as my local FFL transfer dealer, and I clearly made the right choice. Right from the start, the J&B staff was not only helpful, but accommodating as well. The shop is well stocked and offers a diverse selection, and the staff is quite knowledgeable, offering advice and knowledgeable insights. I plans to make them my go-to and happily suggest you do the same. read more

Went in to look at some stuff and just ask questions while running some errands and they were very helpful and informative and I didn't feel the usual pressure of a gun shop. Great lads read more

Decent selection. Very knowledgeable employees and very friendly. Will be back to purchase more 100%

J&B is the best gun store in the Portland area. Period. My only regret is that I did not discover them sooner. I live on the East side of the river, so I used to be a regular at a gun store over here because it was convenient. Now I do and will always make the extra drive to J&B. I've also recommended J&B to family and friends even with the additional drive time, especially to my friends looking to buy their first gun. The staff is both friendly and knowledgeable, and you can truly sense that they love firearms and helping the firearms community. James (I assume the owner but I suppose I didn't ask) is always responsive by email and has helped me obtain odd items that I'm looking for. My favorite part is that, unlike many gun stores including the one I used to go to, there are no high pressure sales tactics! I am definitely not an expert and I appreciate J&B's staff being able to knowledgeably answer my questions, but I not a new firearms enthusiast, and I appreciate a place where I am not upsold or steered away from items that I have thoroughly researched and decided upon beforehand. The people at J&B understand that enthusiasts want specific things, even if they are odd requests, and are not trying to sell alternatives to you on the spot. Overall, everyone is friendly and knowledgeable. Whether you're an experienced enthusiast or competition shooter looking for specific items, or you're brand new and want a calm and friendly environment to make your first entry into the gun community, J&B is the place to go. read more

These guys are great! I recently bought a firearm from them and I got it for the best price available. They made the process very easy and they were very helpful with answering any questions I had. Allan their gun smith is an angle, I highly recommend you see him if you need any work done! read more

This location is part of a small strip mall and they share a private lot. Plenty of parking. Selection is pretty scarce since people have been buying everything in sight because of the coronavirus. The staff here is amazing. They are practicing social distancing, answered all my questions, and offered to call/email me when they restock. This is a great place and people should check them out. read more

James was very helpful and assisted my daughter who recently moved here and is a novice. It was very good customer service.

The ultimate bad business! Please stay far far away! Totally embarrassed my girlfriend going in to buy herself a sig. Owner and employees did some completely outrageous behavior. Will never ever use them. read more

Staff is nice.. sele tion is kinda small. I'm exited to try the NFA kiosk for a few new supressors, I need to download an NFA app and do a few things with the ATF I think but it should be a fun experiment read more

These guys are AWESOME. I bought an AR-15 from them years ago, and came back for my first pistol. They happily showed me multiple options until I settled on something I was very happy with, detailed how to clean and maintain it, take it apart, etc. Shared many tips and tricks, made suggestions for accessories, attachments and whatnot, and spent a lot of time and care making sure I was happy. read more

The team here is the best. I'm getting back into shooting after a few years off and they helped me build out an amazing setup for a great price. read more

Outstanding service with friendly employees willing to share know-how. My son and I swear by J&B.

Hands down the most professional, knowledgeable, and friendly gun store in Portland/Beaverton area. The level of customer service they provide is truly amazing. I have dealt with multiple employees and they all have been a pleasure to work with. I have purchased multiple guns from them and each time they have exceeded expectations. Plus they have the best prices I've seen around the area. Definitely recommend this spot for all your gun needs. At this point I won't even be shopping at any other store. They have earned my business forever. Thank you guys I really appreciate everything. read more

I have been so favorably impressed with this shop over the past two months. Jake, Sam, Sean, Dane and James have been nothing but kind, patient and responsive(!) with me. If I have missed anyone I apologize. I'm a newbie pistol/revolver buyer after 30+ years out of the market. Things have changed a LOT since the 1980s. Modern pistols are so different from my old Colt .45 ACP. I really do appreciate all the help and advice...especially from Sam. He took the extra time to explain the options for pistol cleaning...on a budget. There is never ever any upsell...just plain talk and good advice. They appreciate the buyer on a budget. What else can you want? They don't handle all brands but Sam took the time and effort today to explain why not. They are a small local business...and the current political winds in Oregon are not blowing their way. Spend your firearms/ammo money here! Highly recommended! read more

If you go, ask for James. He's very friendly and knowledgeable. They have a decent selection of rifles at better than MSRP pricing. I am happy with my FN-15 Guardian. read more

When I bought my first firearm (and handgun) 4 years ago, I went to J&B in order to browse around. I was nervous at the time like any new firearm owner was but back then, they really helped me with the choices and differences between them. Still have the gun to this day. Recent news though, I asked of them to help me with consignment of two of my firearms. The process and convenience couldn't be more apparent nor easier. You talk about appropriate selling prices, sign some documents, and get a call that a check is ready for you. They also have a great sense of humor. On display are some large rocks that people have thrown through their storefront windows before. I can honestly say that my firearms were in good hands since no one has been able to steal them while in J&B's hands. read more

Amazing service and employees, can't beat their attitude here. It's like seeing old friends. Prices are totally reasonable and the selection is outstanding. They've earned my business and will keep it read more

Giving a huge shout out to the crew at J and B Firearms in Beaverton Oregon. They always have gone above and beyond for us. We have purchased many hand guns from their inventory and have also consigned guns with them to sell. NEVER A PROBLEM. Today they installed Sig Sauer night sights on my carry gun. They do it all at J and B Firearms. Fair pricing, FANTASTIC STAFF, great inventory and their new location is great too. I would highly recommend them for any of your firearm needs without hesitation. I went here to purchase my first firearm. The staff was very helpful and friendly. Due to the 2020-2021 firearm famine they didn't have the largest collection, but what they did have was carefully selected firearms at comparable prices. They usually have a selection of high-quality used firearms. I never felt pressured to purchase a firearm there, but I was able to find one that fit my criteria. I totally recommend checking them out. read more

Disrespectful. Even if you have to drive further, wait longer and/or pay a bit more, I recommend going to places with very good customer service like Northwest Armory in Tigard, The Gun Room in Portland, or Old Mill Bargain Center in The Dalles rather than support this guy. read more

Not a good experience. I prepaid and registered for their concealed carry class, which is 4.5 hours on a Sunday, once per month. I showed up today and the class was canceled without notice. Excellent customer service from start to finish. I have been here quite a few times for purchase, consignments and site installations. Everyone was very knowledgeable and friendly. While I may not be the most articulate person out there, I've been shooting for 50 years (started really young), and was in the military for 28. I felt like they were just humoring me (which really was annoying), especially when the first guy passed me off to another when it was apparent I wasn't going to buy anything that day. And it wasn't busy at all - maybe four people in the store. If it was closer I'd try them again just to see. First impressions were not that great. read more

Avoid this place. Customer service is horrible. The lady at the front counter was nice, the big guy is cool too but the little guy with the buzz cut has little man syndrome and will try to bite your ankles. Shop elsewhere. read more
